I have 14 of these pumps on the ranch and have mixed results. Some have lasted ten years others will leak water into the motor and fail in weeks. They are easy to work on and can be pulled and hauled home. They work well in the winter if you drill a weep hole to allow the water to drain below the frost line. Wells below fifty feet do not work as well as the shallower wells. We have been using larger solar pumps that pump from below 300 feet at a much higher cost.
can you please tell me, Which pump are you using for pulling water its horsepower? the wattage of your solar panels and do you have 1 inch or 3/4 inch pipe? How many gallons per minute does it pump?
Beautiful workmanship. One thing I like to do with electrical wires is to stagger the cuts, short, medium and long. Just in case vibration wears off the heat shrink insulation (or cockroaches eat it, or it basically dry rots away) there won't be any exposed wire to contact with another wire. It also makes the finished bundle with the last heat shrink over the whole bundle a lot skinner.
Had a borehole pump failure a few years back.. tape had fallen into the bottom of the borehole and been sucked in to the pump..jamming the impellor .Better to use strong zip ties to secure cable and polypipe..rather than tape..
As a professional groundwater contractor, it bothers me that people do not know how to properly terminate the well head/seal. The hole they put the eyebolt through is there to monitor water level on the well and to place disinfectants. It is not there for an eyebolt. Then there is the rope they used. Any rope is a great place for bacteria to hide inside. This can cause the well to have bacterial issues. Who thinks this rope is stronger than the wire in the well? The use of rope is old technology. On top of this are grounding issues. There should be a bond to a ground rod, from the pump's ground wire to the solar panels and racking. This is to equalize the potential to ground and prevent electrocution. There is a lot more to discuss about grounding that would take a lot more space.
thanks so much this is a typical solution to food security thanks for the invention it will fulfill dreams to farmers on living wealthy without stress in life.
Very neat job One thing I might have missed. You took two depth readings. How did you decide how deep to drop the pump? Too high and it might dry out i'm guessing, too low and you could pick up more sediment?
Great video. very informative. The thing I most wanted to see was how deep to place the pump in relation to the water level, but you never told us that. How do you figure out how deep you put it?
The analysis of pump test results may be used to determine the pump depth. Without pump test done, others put pumps at least 10m from the borehole depth
Do Rain harvesting, Rainwater harvesting helps for groundwater recharge, rain water harvesting is one of the best solutions to water problem in the areas having inadequate water resources. Please save water.
i want to give you a new skill when crimping wires (red blue green) : do not crimp wires on the same point of the cable! keep then sequenced one higher of the another i mean don't let them meet together when you tie them with the plastic sleeve keep going
AS an electronics designer and system installer, If you use electrical in an exposed situation like this, the tape you should be using is NOT #33 3M. You should use # 88. It has a different adhesive that will not degrade.
it'really not a good idea to couple the rope with pipe stable. Rope must be strenth and take the load. Pipe must be free of load. Rope is holder , pipe is pipe. They should attach two of them by a free moving clips or nothing.
hello. i have a question about how you tie the rope together with the pipe and wire. we can see clearly at 12:20 that the yellow rope is making that loop. isn't it going to break the electrical tape that you used to tie everything together when the system will fill in with water?
shouldnt the tension be on the rope itself and not the pipe? or the rope is just for security and thi pipe can carry the weight of the pump? nice installation overall
I don't get why you tie together the poly pipe and electric cable with the rope. Do not tie the rope, otherwise all the weight is distribute between the three elements, specially the electric cable, and You forgot the torque arrestor
How many instruments required in this project, tell me total cost and item wise also. I think this is best solution.in my farm underground water available at 45 feet depth, does this system will work.
I must have missed something on the panel connection detail. If you are getting (almost) 40 volts with a parallel wiring connection, wouldn't you be getting close to 80 volts with the panels connected in a series configuration?
Nice craftsmanship in the video. Very through with instruction. One of the best I’ve seen on RUclips
You're a lifesaver. This is the BEST tutorial video on RUclips.

i like how u guys are not afraid of those arcs everyone needs to stop being afraid of low voltage high amperage...
You will have the time

Good advice 👍
Im from Pakistan and thats professional work good job👌👌👍👍👍
Great system for off grid. Hand pump option is a must. Check valve will save stress on the pump. Great video.

Stainless steel zip ties are inexpensive.

Suddenly well drilling is equal to doctors and lawyers....... everything is pro.
Great video, very good explanation and video. One of the best I've watched

We in Australia don't use use plastic rope as it breaks to easy, we use Stainless Steel 5 mm cable and this never fails
Great video. I installed my submersible pump based on your video. It went so easy.
Excellent Mr, I get so many information best of Luck
ruclips.net/video/tN0mvJfUEB8/видео.html,
thank you so much for sharing this video, congratulation from south west Algeria.
ruclips.net/video/tN0mvJfUEB8/видео.html,
Video was put together with all the info I needed to install.
Great job i salute form Nigeria Man
I love that 10mill tape, so much better than electricians tape
With little investment, Africa can become a miracle.
You can say that again. Coming from an African from Switzerland..

Love that you put the secondary heat shrink. Would of like to of seen it with the adhesive. Never can be to careful. It’s no fun pulling a pump.
thank you for sharing ur ideas.good job.thank you for this video
That's a strong sucker pump. Submersible pumps
Thank you very much for the efforts you make for us💯👍👍 شكرا جزيلا
Thanks for your time today to see how you service the pump
Una presentacion tecnica muy profesional! Gracias.

Respect,I need to have the very same sun pump but I don’t have the equipment...

Awesome installation, very informative....will be calling you shortly...Thanks...great video
Very smart control panel and pump with inverter...
Great work guys !l learnt a lot
Congratulations well done job...

What about #53? I think it's better
I like #69....
I'll let myself out....
আপনাদের ভিডিও দেখে অনেক ভালো লাগলো🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩📶 very nice
awesome video thanks for taking it to step by step, your video is awesome!!!!
That’s professional.. I’m glad to watch it ..
Bon travail 👏👏.
pompe à courant continu. 3/4
heart of the traitor. العلاوي amine
Great job and video 👍👍thank you very much!!!!
Neet work and good explanation
That's a small powerful pump
Wonderful teachers you're, great presentation would want to watch more suchlike and thanks.
Surprised that the fitting kits are not Stainless steel now? Galvanized is so fraught with long term issues
A very clean and perfect work
Very good video.
Very good video 😊📸
Good Job Watch it from Germany
You missed one part. How high up from the bottom do you want the pump?
Nice little set up. I need to order one of these for my well furthest from the homestead.
I love how everyone says our system when they are just retailers of chinese or indian junk at european prices
*good job* 😎😎🙏🙏👍

i noticed that as well,, there was to much play in the rope under the cap,,, the pipe held the weight and not the rope
Thanks you best work.
Congratulation. Ans happy new year 2019
from Algeria.
Performance high tech congratulate u
Nice Lesson I take a lot from this demo.
Good job,,, 😇😇😇😇

Congrats for nice video. Question: what size have the blue pipe and what size have the pump? Thanks
Before you put the cap you must chek the rope ...all weigh must be on rope and not to the plastic pipe and cable ... that mean no tape to the rope
can a hair dryer be used instead of propane torch? very helpful ... ha ha Ike and Mike...
It is a wonderful idea
I feel like having one at mi home
Tie the bottle to the tape measure. Also that is the wrong head on the torch for that. Also the black tape is silly after the expensive shrink wrap.
Thanks for the excellent demonstration. How do you bypass a submersible pump with solar panels
you should not cut the wires equaly .....it have to be ..one after one
Very nice the cap !!
Are these types of pumps available in Uganda East Africa???
Secondly how do you dig the well ?
Thanks
shouldnt the tension be on the rope itself and not the pipe? or the rope is just for security and thi pipe can carry the weight of the pump? nice installation overall
I like it and it's setup too
Very good demonstration. Continued success to SunPumps. Do you export equipment to Ireland...?
Great work keep it up
Excellent job.
But water pressure is very low
Can you please confirm how far off the bottom of the well was the pump installed. Thanks 👍👍
Hi sir Very nice 👍 I am form Bangladesh 🇧🇩 11-11-2022
I have bought this pumb for my small scale farming.but it need a professional person to install it in the water.
Why not avoid the black tape totally and just use the shrinking tube. Little bit more expensive, much higher quality.
I don't get why you tie together the poly pipe and electric cable with the rope. Do not tie the rope, otherwise all the weight is distribute between the three elements, specially the electric cable, and You forgot the torque arrestor
Good job brather
nice work. my respect from ukraine
Fantastic, thanks a lot!
I really hate Poly adapters. I have so much failure rates using them in other plumbing applications
تحياتي من القلب من الجزائر 💓💯
Nice
Heats getting to me, I was seeing double at 14:00

True
2 office guys working in the field.............
What is the total cost of 800ft full set of pump motor starter cabel and hose??
Great and simple techniques
My casing for my old well is only 4" sized PVC pipe ....is there a pump that would fit?
Good job !
What Can We do to get this formation. I'm from Sénégal
Your pumps are Good according to the demonstration on the video? how can get one?
Supper work 👌👌👌👌
Congratulation good job.How much will cost me to install in my well?
ruclips.net/video/tN0mvJfUEB8/видео.html,
What was the set up depth?, what is the pump head pressure? A lot of info missing.
Nice fittings
This two guys are so cool!
nice video
