Thanks! We love that store and Sam is super helpful! Thanks for watching. We love your channel too. Cant wait to see what else’s you find under that big tree. Once it warms up a bit we’ll be back in southern Oregon washin’ rocks.
I prospect on the southern Oregon coast. My go to beach mat is just ribbed outdoor carpet from the local hardware store. Has a higher capture rate than anything I've bought at least. Sometimes I add a short section of miner's moss to the loading end of my sluice, it helps the material spread out more. Great video btw, subbed with the bell clicked! Btw, I wish I had a means of efficient cleanup like your cube, I have to pan everything down by hand 😭😂 maybe someday I'll bite the bullet and buy something of the like.
We’ve been meaning to checkout the southern Oregon coast. Beverly beach was decent but there is better gold out there. Out beach sluice was just something we pieced together. Mainly to help our spot checking. We just picked up a smaller dream mat sluice which we are eager to try on the beach. Cheap mining is good mining, so I am all for building your own tools. Good tips! Thank you for watching! We really appreciate it!
@@510prospecting I am in west-central Ohio now, We have some gold here, some places better than others like anywhere, but still nowhere near as good as on the west coast.
Awesome bro! We have some solid blacksand beches on the west coast of NZ where great colour can be found sadly though we currently dont have specialized fine gold recovery equipment/sluices and the amount of heavy blacksand is MENTAL like the gold is with the blacksand streaks so in the pan is like 75% blacksand and its very very hard to pan, and our sluices only catch a small portion of it as they are not designed for ultra ultra fine gold with heaps of blacksand. But looks like you had a good time and did well, keep up the great content!
It’s tough to recover for sure. There are better places for beach mining in our area but we wanted to check this spot. Especially after the massive tides. We’re still refining our cleanup process to catch the super fines and quicker. Thanks for watching!
Nice I’ve done ok with just a pan on the beach at China creek up above Florence ! Found a beach in Newport more towards the north end and the entire beach was black sand . Unfortunately was there with family and was not able to test it out but had been on my mind for a few years !
Yeah the gold is there! What we found was super fine. Recovery is difficult but it’s fun to do. I still want to prospect a few other places on the coast. Of course then there is the cape up north, that seems to be the go to. Although increasingly difficult regulations making it harder and harder. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. I'm heading out that way in July and just started to research places to try my luck. I won't have my sluice but will do some panning on our trip. Thanks for sharing!
I used to have a few 510's all 3 were 72's One was an original black 2 door with factory air i think i paid 200 bucks for it LOL i wish i had kept it.One was a stock 4 door and the 3rd was an awesome slammed 2 door car i put a z2600 in it with a 5 speed that car would chirp the tires at 5th gear, i nearly died in it LOL. Stumbled on the video and saw the cars. Love the Cars ( : wish i could find one to fix up.
I think you might be the first to key in on where the 510 reference comes from. Or at least the first to mention it. You probably recognize our logo too? The days of cheap 510's is long gone. Thanks for sharing about your cars. Always like to hear the stories.
Not yet. We’d like to get one though! Or maybe one of those blue motorized black sand separators I see folks using these days. Anything to speed up the process right? Lol
Very cool, I'm from Eugene and don't get over there near as much as I want to. Any idea where I can find the regs for beach mining? It would suck to drive 2-3 hrs just to get kicked out.
It depends on the location. State parks may have different regulations. We sluiced in the creek slightly above the beach line. I know some groups recirculate their gold cubes here. Our goal was just to bring material home. Also we saw park rangers here, they didn’t mention anything. As far as I know, you can recirculate above the high tide line or above the grass line. No digging into the shoreline. Fill your holes. Pans and ground sluices are ok. Thanks for watching!
you need to be there at low tide that way you can get more gold further out walk along the north of the little creak you will find big streaks of black sand you should run dabble sluice box that helps with the over flow and clogging of the ripples' i have done a lot of samples there good luck happy hunting
We’ll be back for sure. This was during king tides, at high tide. So not much room to work. We were hoping to find concentrated areas. Thanks for the tip! We’ll check next time we’re there.
I'm surprised that you weren't ran out of your slucing location, salmon spawn up that stream I was ran out of couple places south of Newport, by the beach patrol dude in a state parks off road vehicle I was half way out to the surf and said I had to set u p closer to the surf....ridiculous

That's a pretty good haul for a trip to the beach.
Yeah we had a good time. We didn’t know what to expect. We’d have a few more spots on the Oregon coast to check out this year. Thanks for watching!

have you guys ever tried a millers table to run that black sand? that was a pretty good take compared to what i find

But dont for get the horrible problem of land sharks & bears constantly being on the guard is exhausting! I'm amazed you had no run-ins.
Oh we have!

We saw a few park rangers. They didn’t seem to care. But we’d follow whatever rules exist, no matter how silly they are. Some just don’t make sense…
Good job! I panned the same place and got no color. The beach changes
Yeah I hear ya! I have another video from here I need to edit. But I want to get back and test a few spots near here. Thanks for watching!
😮
brush the air bubbles out of the gold cube mat before putting material in
Thanks! We do, maybe we missed some. Thanks for watching.

I can get gold to float. Just don’t use any jet dry. Lol
Great area! Beach gold is the toughest gold in the world to pan!
You’re so right, It’s tough! This cleanup took a long time. It was fun though. Btw, we really enjoy your content. Thanks for watching.
