hey so can herping in the everglades in mid December still be productive during the mid-day hours? I have gotten some conflicting answers already haha. I've never been to south florida but I herp a lot here in Virginia for Timber rattlers and I have success even up in the mountains at temps of 20 C as long as the sun is out in early spring. I would think the glades will have snakes basking even in the winter, but just wanted another opinion from someone who has experienced it. Thanks!
What camera is that? I want to start photographing my herps and I don’t know much about cameras. Do you have a recommendation that can take pretty good photos that’s under 1,000?
You can pick up a Nikon D3500 for under 1000. But even more important than the camera is learning how to use it. You can buy a $10,000 camera, but if you don't know how to use it, you still won't get good pictures. Look up my Herping Photography Tips playlist to get you started.
That's cool, rain usually kills the activity. Alex and Diego got "the tour" nice look little cotton, love those colors.
I was teasing Alex, but he is a local like me, and is actually a much better herper than I am!
@@wakefieldwildlife Yeah, kinda figured Alex was a local the way you laughed about the cotton, but still, Diego got his money's worth.
Definitely was the prettiest baby cottonmouth. Can't say I've ever seen one with those bright colors.
So darn cool! I love the videos keep em up!
Gorgeous, my favourite species of rattlesnake
It sounds like it's thundering when the EDB is shown.
