Good morning from Toronto... Had to think for a minute there..Wednesday already. Looks as if I won't be sitting and stitching gir a least a few days which should drive me crazy Had a fall yesterday afternoon Down the 6 basement stairs. Quite spectacular actually.one leg under me..the other stuck in the wrought iron railing. Did not hit my head..did not break anything...scraped the heck out of my right leg and sprained my left ankle. Up and down...and have a cane to help me hibble. And a happy new year to me. Think I will stay in bed and rest for a few days. Have to think ..get something like that out of the way art the beginning of the year and the remainder will be smooth sailing. Keep stitching...I need to see something along that line every day. Take good care. Have a great day To all of you out there...be careful of those stairs. 😘🇨🇦
I have been snowed in and organizing my craft room. I have three hand stitched quilt-as-you-go projects currently so I am sorting fabric and cutting which is a good time to organize and cull. I have four pink, rolling, three tier carts and have thread, lace and trims, small fabric bits, vintage linen pieces in them, I guess they are my nests. It works better for me than bins and containers. It keeps my work space open as I can just move my carts around and pull them up plus in the winter I also work in the guest room and the kitchen table.
I absolutely LOVE this new series and I finally get what these snippet rolls can be used for!! I completely love the idea of making random beautiful scrappy embellishments to use on later projects. So much fun!!! Can’t wait to see the next installment. ❤😍 Lots of love from 🌸Kate
this sounds so fun Kate! ii'm always amazed that i find other people's scraps so much better than my own scraps. it is wonderful to see what you do with your scrappy bits. linda from california
Hi Kate, You are such an inspiration and your joy is contagious. I started slow stitching about a month ago. My home and wardrobe is neutral and I love neutrals. But in my slow stitching I have been inspired by you and am now incorporating brighter colors. Slow stitching is transforming me. Thank you. Love always, Savana 🎀💝
Hello lovely Savana. I am so excited that we have found each other. I love hearing about you and your new journey. It will be wonderful to share together. Sincerely, Kate😊❤❤
Great idea for scraps Kate :) I am loving the large nest you are making. You have inspired me to use a quilted pillow case and turn it into a project bag. Having heaps of fun 😊 Have a great week x

Hi Sharon! Hopefully by the time you read this you are safely home after your wonderful family time. Keen to hear how your making goes - nothing like being home in your craft room after a break! Sincerely, Kate😊❤❤
I’m a rather new subbie. I wish you could have heard me squeeee when you whipped out your altered book. Oh my you tease! I need to see more of that lovely thing!
I am amazed at how many scraps of fabrics you have. for a beginner like me, my challenge is to get more fabric choices I guess. I found a live for bits of fabric and stitching too, it is like for the paper, same part of the brain I guess! :)
Hello there! I am so grateful to hear from you....we are all on this journey together. I have gathered mine bits and bobs from thrift shops really - it is amazing what you can find once you know ....I'm wishing you lots of fun ahead. And yes, I agree - paper and fabric go together - joy all around! 😊❤❤
