One aspect that is rarely, if ever mentioned, is the absolute importance of making sure the nails are secure and hammered in well. I made one as a kid and after about six wraps on the nails many began to lean inwards and causing sag and a mess.
Music and visuals are so beautiful. I’m in the hospital with a lung infection and this cheered me up and made me forget all that’s going on. Peace and love always.
Amazingly Beautiful.!! I remember doing this at school when I was a kid along with macrame. Now I couldn't keep up with you if I tried. Would love to be shown how again.. only slower and one step at a time. 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Maria! I know that you begin every new color on a marked nail, but when you begin your pull on the opposite side, is that a marked nail as well? I can't tell from the video. It looks like you might go one nail off the opposite marker. Working on it now. Appreciate your imput. Thanks❤
hi, what a fantastic design, I really want to make this!!, but I have a question. ¿do you have a trick so the nails are evenly spaced in the circle?. I ask this because I am having issues to get these 120 nails evenly spaced in the circle. I have a printable pattern but it is for 80 nails, I assume I can somehow replicate your design but would love to make the exact same one. Greetings from Colombia
Really liked it! By any chance, do you have instruction set which can be helpful especially when you switch the colors- from which nail we should start ?
Tapisha Goyal try a few times with a different number of nails to understand the difference, do not be too lazy to remake something that you do not like and then you will understand how many nails to start a new color. usually I start with 5 nails)
Hi Maria, this is very beautifully done. I have a question though. You mentioned that you are using 12 color threads. Has each thread been used more than once? It appears that there are two or three layers of each color, or maybe it's the camera perspective. Please confirm.
I know I'm super late to the party but, it means when you finish a row, start the next row to go back, one nail before you finished the previous row. Every row is a forward, (clockwise), or a backward, (counterclockwise). Go forward, and start the row back on the nail before the nail you finished on. Then go backwards, finish and tie off on the nail before the nail you started with. New color, start the next row on the nail before the one you just tied off, going forward. Another thing that you have to notice, is that the beginning stroke of every pass goes on every other nail, while the opposite stroke is every nail.
Liz Rey I did not measure exactly the distance, I just divided the circle into several smaller parts and marked the number of nails I needed. Length of the nails is 2,1 cm
Can ANYONE tell me if the nail you start off each row on the opposite side is a marked one as well. I know the other side were you begin/end colors is. Thank you!
@@MariaKavaka Thanks. It looks like you begin one nail away on the "every other nail" side. So....it is from one marker to another marker to begin each layer? It really looks like you pointed at the nail next to the marker. Anyway, I tried it both ways - the "one away" seemed to work better but I'm not sure.🤷🤦😁

What if I have a larger board? How do I space the nails ?
In the same way, but divide the circle into more parts
I did this in the seventies I sounded like a shoe mender with knocking all the nails in but enjoyed the end outcome
Awesome 👌👌👌
shit!!!
It looks like in the beginning you are skipping nails and then later doing every nail. Is this correct?
Laura Riggs yes, it is correct
Очень красиво!!! Но я не понимаю: с гвоздей картину не снимают? Так с гвоздями и вешать на стену?
Нет конечно! Без гвоздей ничего не получится и нитки распутаются. На видео показан окончательный этап создания картины.
