I don't know why people feel the need to comment if they're not happy with the content. It says what's gping to happen in the subject title. I mean, c'mon, don't watch, no need to comment. I laughed because I'm used to looking after pets and I know the difficulties you need to go through- life isn't all roses and champagne, and they're helping her! Thank you Ruben, his doctor friend and Ruben's mom for helping her.

For those who are getting upset by this video, please you clearly did not grow up on a farm so calm down. Cindy is being taken care of by the most wonderful family ever. You have no idea what people do to animals, let that sink in and do your homework before you judge.
It irks me all these people criticizing them and giving their advice. They act like they know everything about the situation and what is best from watching her on social media. I happen to know from my personal correspondence with Ruben’s mom some of the challenges they are up against in managing her health and these people commenting don’t have a clue.
@@cah1964 you are 100 percent correct. There is animals that goes through the most vile abuse you cannot even imagine, that is why I get so upset when people give negative comments on Ruben's posts. You can clearly see that Cindy is loved above and beyond and it shows so clearly in the way they treat her and talk to her. 💖

I don't understand, do people think about they know better about baboons than people who live in a country with these animals. Ruben consulted with a vet too. I hope Cindy feels better. Cindy's mother would know best too when she isn't doing well. And Cindy is old, the bowls probably slown down with age.

That was both fascinating and highly amusing. Your doctor friend was brilliant and a great sense of humour. With Cindy being sedentary most of the time I’m sure the food just stays put and needs a little help from time to time. Bless Cindy she was very accommodating. ❤❤❤

I am in a healthcare myself and have given hundreds of enemas. Constipation is one of the most uncomfortable things for patients, so I can imagine that it would be the same for Cindy.
As with many people, I've had that issue too.
I do prefer to just put it all....

Now THAT right there is love💕! Anybody can give a cute animal a treat & feed it. Anybody can pet or cuddle a animal. But to give a sick/grumpy animal an enema, that is *love!* Pure, innocent, unwavering LOVE! And I applaud your love, dedication & commitment to Cindy & all the other babies you care for! Good for you, all of you! All of you make such a difference in these babies lives. Most of the babies would not be alive without you. Thank you all so much! I'm so thankful that I'm South African and not full of fiemies and also understand the nature of farmers in this part of the world. After reading some of the comments here I was amazed at how many vets there are on RUclips. Mariske rescued and raised Cindy from a baby and would never take risks with her life. Namibia is the 34th largest country in the world so consider,if you will, how far farmers probably have to travel to get a vet to confirm she's got a bit of constipation due to a plug of poop.

Something I notice and really appreciate about the family is they seem to pay very close attention to Cindy’s body language and if she is getting agitated giving her space. At the end of the day she is a wild animal, even if she’s habituated and has attachments to her human family.

As a nurse I can tell you as people and animals age things move slower through the stomach and intestines. As activity decreases this has an effect on motility. Mixing in some coconut oil into her soft foods will help and increasing dietary fiber, both soluble and insoluble, will add bulk to stool volume. As we and other animals age fluid intake also diminishes. Encourage Cindy to take in more fluid. As my patients always say, “Don’t get old.” Being creative and proactive should help Cindy avoid becoming obstipated.

So nice for Cindy to "relieve the pressure". My 11 year old Leonberger girl has similar problems with stopping. She is stiff and can't move as much as before, so her intestines get blocked easily. She and Cindy are actually a bit alike! Hope Cindy is feeling much better now! Hugs from Sweden! 🥰🥰

You do what you have to do to help when you love. There was a Physician on site. Baboons' internal organs are very close to those of a human. I feel like it's the sulfer in the eggs you give her.
