:) it is very nice indeed! But if you already have the standard size one and you have no problem shuffling it, then I would just stick with the standard edition if I was you. I wish I had larger hands because I do like the larger cards so you can see the artwork better.
Hi Sandi! I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds the original OAT hard to shuffle. It's one of my favorite decks, but I don’t use it as often as I would normally because of the thick, scared-of-bending-it, and most of all, slightly STICKY cardstock. I just got my mini OAT too, and it's going to be much easier to work with. Cool to see a side-by-side comparison...thanks for this review!
Thanks Michelle! I do find the smaller one so much more satisfying to handle and I am able to connect with the deck much more now! It really makes such a difference to me!
A year later and this video popped up on my feed. I just got the Heartwood Tarot, and my small hands are okay with shuffling the deck. But I am wondering if the Oak, Ash & Thorn deck is thicker than the Heartwood. If you're reading this, would you please kindly measure the thickness of the deck? the website have the length and width of the decks, but of course (and why would they) not the thickness of the whole deck of the cards in their entirety. Because I'm thinking maybe OAT is thicker than the Heartwood if it feels chunky in your hands. Just trying to decide if I should get the mini or regular size. Also, do you have the oracle deck? Wondering if the cards are repeated from some of their other decks.
Hi Sandi, I also received mine today. They are different in colour a little. But the do feel beautiful in the hand to shuffle. To be true full I find the larger deck also easy to shuffle. The lager deck or the original size deck art work pop that little more for me. The bigger cards feel like i can jump into the reading more ....know that sounds a little silly but i do like the large deck personally myself. But sure I will make use of them both as i use my larger deck often ...Take Care. Terri from Australia
I wish the larger deck was easier to shuffle for me, since the artwork is so beautiful, I do like to see it better. But I am so happy for the little one, I am able to connect to this one much better! :)
Thanks for making this Interesting video! On Camera the mini looks washed out and flat compared to the depth of colour in the standard! Is it like that in real life? I’ve ordered the mini but usually like my colours more saturated like the standard 😬🙈 I’ll try and hold off any judgement until it arrives though 😁
Hi! The coulour are not as saturated on the mini but you can really only tell when you are comparing them next to each other. In my opinion it is not noticeable when you are just working with the deck! ☺️ hope you enjoy it as much as I do! ❤️
Great walkthrough, thank you! Even though I prefer smaller decks, I actually don't mind the size of the bigger one too much - with the way that I shuffle, large cards are a problem, but a thick deck apparently isn't as much. However, I *do* have trouble seeing the images in the bigger deck sometimes! Especially when reading during these winter days, when there is only artificial light for most or all of the time (and no chance I could use this deck by candle light...) Looks like the smaller one is a great improvement in many ways!
Oh goodness! I don't need the mini but it is so tempting!

I think the mini artwork is just as immersive as its larger counterpart. I'm so excited to have my own copy now and the mini is perfect for my hands.
Same! I am so in love with this little deck!
What a wonderful size! This is such a pretty deck. 💖
Yes! I am so in love! 💕

Jättefina kort😍Jämför gärna mer😀
Kinda wish they made the small version borderless. Thank you! 💖
I get that! Somehow the borders have never bothered me on this one, although I am definitely a borderless kinda gal!
now that you have had the two decks for while, which one riffle shuffled better?
Oh definitely the mini one for sure, the standard one is just too thick for me to riffle with my little hands.

Thank you! I really do adore the mini! I wish I could handle thicker decks better but it is what it is 😅 are you thinking about getting the mini?
