Baseball the way it was meant to be. Affordable for all. Guys who enjoyed playing the game but were just human after all, and who made okay money but got other jobs in winter. Lots of personalities and fun nicknames. Fans who watched the game and knew what was happening. Wish I could’ve lived back then! Nowadays the ballpark is an amusement park. Selfies and contests and walkup music and fans constantly going for walks during play and not watching the game makes me sad (and a lot of other feelings). I can barely stand attending games at the major league level anymore. Still, I will always love the game. Thanks for posting this!
@@kevinmadden1645 Totally disagree. The rosters and stats bear me out. No further discussion is necessary. Glad to have raised your consciousness. You're welcome.

Although I sort of agree with you, it’s still my game and I love saving a bit of money and taking my girls when I can.
I wonder what a cold Miller cost at the ballpark? Probably 50c.
@@MarlinWilliams-ts5ulThat's just about what it's worth.
Spahnie!
A bygone era, enjoyed watching this blast from the past.
Milwaukee Braves were the first NL team to draw 2 million fans. Great to see a young Sandy Koufax, he’s still around , legend.
Braves didn't last too long in Milwaukee.
13 seasons
Miller was good back then.
Not like today's crap
A classic example if an underachieving team .
Just as the Giants of the same era were.
@@tonypanzarella9387 Not to the extent that the Braves were. The Braves had considerably more talent .

@@tonypanzarella9387 The roster and their position in the standings after 1958 bear me out . What do you mean by "consciousness raising"?
@@tonypanzarella9387The Giants had to be the best 2nd place team of that era.
