I was on the Hospital ship Sanctuary, Sept 68. It was in Da Nang Harbor and had to set out to open water to ride out that typhoon. What fun.

20 seconds into my first of your videos and I have a new favorite content creator. I can’t imagine how anyone could recount the activities of what is arguably Americas least known and most daring units to ever not wear a U.S insignia better than you do. Your detailed knowledge of their activities and way of personalizing the men in your stories reminds us that each of the soldiers involved were individuals who loved and were loved. Had lives and stories before Vietnam and God willing after as well. We are lucky that you chose to recount these brave men and their daring deeds and I like to believe they would feel the same. Thank you sincerely

I really enjoyed the rain, it not only kept us from moving on long distances but it also kept them from attacking us. I remember making a small trench around where two of us rested. The monsoon season was bad for both of us. Quan Tri brings back a lot of memories. The DMZ, were there a few times, all the bomb craters and they loved watching us and picking when they had enough and would attack us and then leave. Love hearing your stories. Brings back a lot of memories of my 31.5 months there.

Thanks for your interest. Glad you enjoyed the book. I'm wondering when you lived in Jupiter and your approx age. It was a small town.

@@DawsonsWar I lived there between 2007-2011 while I was at Jupiter High school. Worked at captain Charlie's Reef Grill too (good eats there). Jupiter WAS a small town, but that area keeps getting bigger and bigger. Anyway, I'm writing a story on CIA activities in Laos during the 70s and your book has become a huge inspiration on my story. I appreciate the response and hope you are well
