    If you told me that Roddy McDowall was your uncle, I'd believe you. The mannerisms, the animation, the sound of your voice and enthusiasms are spot on 🤓💫 He was a fantastic actor, film enthusiast and loved Magic.

      @@ElliottHitchcock I am from Warminster PA, about 10 minutes from Hatboro Pa. Bob passed away last year at Luther Woods Nursing home where my mom was a nurses aid for 22 years. Although Magic is global, it's a small niche indeed.

    Regarding the tape on the front facing card, I simply took another normal playing card and placed a glue dot to the back of it. I then stuck the normal card on top of the front facing card. So it looks like a normal deck now and hides the tape. It doesn't affect the working or balance of the gimmicked deck in any way either ☺

    A very good review - thank you. I'm still practicing with my Leviosa and I like using, as you did, on a table. Why did Joao make such a point in the instructions of NOT doing it on a table? I think it looks great and yes, you do have to control the lighting either way. Any thoughts? ED

    Can you speak to lighting concerns? The guy in the video is crouched down too, face to face! Is it really that good in bright light?

    • @MagicWorldUK
      @MagicWorldUK  Год назад +1

      You must always be careful in all situations.. Monitor is the room white or darker colours.. what colour is the floor and so on.. I would not perform this on a white tabletop at a wedding breakfast but then I might move it to the darker floor area... It does work well in brighter lights but obviously not super bright. Also distance of spectator is also important. So many factors.

    It is still amazing to me that the magic community has not SHED this HORRIBLE mindset of "thinking like a magician". EVERYTHING does not have to be examined to be great. EVERYTHING does not need to be signed to be great. EVERYTHING does not have to fall into some structure of "neatness" to be believed. This might be the BEST effect that has come out in a very, very long time. Magicians, SHED THIS MIND SET OR YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE. You have done nothing but placed yourselves into a prison of thought. GET OUT OF IT!

  • @zmzmzn2000
    @zmzmzn2000 Год назад +1

    Since as you said there are only 6 or 7 cards that cards that can be shuffled that seems to be the weak point of this effect is that right. And for those asking can the deck be examined you would just do a switch in your pocket with a duplicate deck.

    • @MagicWorldUK
      @MagicWorldUK  Год назад

      Yes a simple deck switch on an off-beat and your ready to go... you could get away with 10 cards easily... I honesty believe you can get away with almost anything after a trick has ended so switching in the deck is pretty easy... I think if performed right few people would ask can I examine... it's a very casual ending - make it fun and light and just walk off ;)

    If the t…d snaps when the deck is in the air, will the deck withstand falling from some height onto the floor?

    • @MagicWorldUK
      @MagicWorldUK  Год назад +1

      Very good question - For that I couldn’t answer and I would recommend Joao Miranda. In theory if the thread has been tested to not tangle and motor kept taught it should rarely just break. also making sure the thread is evenly spread periodically.

  • @alexmichael4190
    @alexmichael4190 Месяц назад

    Before reviewing the item. This should have been tried and tested for a few weeks so you could have told us how often the thread will snap how hard or easy it is to rethread it. But nothing on that. If I had of known exactly how much a pain in the arse this product was before purchasing I would have stayed well clear!!

    A major discrepancy is when a card “violently” jumps out of the deck and the rest of the deck also jumps, why all the cards stay perfectly aligned? Wouldn’t this make people suspicious that this is “not” a normal deck and in fact it’s more like a block of cards?

      Dont fully agree - depends on distance too of spectators.. The thread seems to work outdoors better than many I have tested considering it's strength... But wind I would be very careful of :). Certainly it doesn't have to be dimly lit... just be aware of your background i.e. white wall behind and eyes of spectator seeing the wall behind.
