    However, it seems to me, in Japan there is a rat race and capitalism dominates i.e long work hours, emphasis on profits, growth in work....I also find Tokyo very noisy and the rat race is very obvious...

      I think you have a valid point, it’s just important to find a balance and stay grounded. I would like to note that Japanese minimalism does not imply the fact that because it is based on unique philosophy and mindfulness, it is widely practiced among modern society, even in Japan itself. Capitalism dominates in so many countries nowadays…
