I would love to play as Poggle the Lesser in "Star Wars Battlefront II"!!! Here are what his abilities could be in the game: - the Archduke can fly so he could attack from above like Boba Fett, but he would use a typical Geonosian sonic blaster as a main weapon. - Poggle could use his cane to perform melee attacks. - if the leader of the Geonosians feels threatened by the forces of the opposing side, he could call upon a group of Geonosian soldiers to distract his enemies during his retreat.
This is just salt. I didn't pre order the game. I unlocked all heroes over a month ago. Each class is rank 20+ with 40 on assault. I play and enjoy every game mode and look forward to every time I play with friends. The cosmetic system is very minor in terms of gameplay and thus is not greatly important. Bossk is a very valid choice for a hero as data mining showed that Grievous was not complete for launch. Be grateful for what we've got rather than sulking that it is not YOUR perfect game.
I actually played strike last night and it was pretty fun, it can be a nice change from the big 40 player modes, and I did well, 27 kills, 10,000 score, and the first place, and I play on Xbox
I think that this game will be everything i hoped for post launch and sorry but atleast the map Developers do give a shit about the game just look at the maps its incredible fukin amazing those maps lets be honest the battlefront 2005 maps took like 3 days to make a map this maps have to take a while to make and the results are incredibles and nobody talks about it wich makes me mad but yeah the fact that i cannot even see mi k/d ratio is just stupid

Chewbacca is an iconic and important SW character who's had a prominent role in four movies and cameos in two more. He's a named main character Bossk is a background character who had about a minute of screentime, no speaking lines, not even really any acknowledgment, and isn't even named in the credits. He's as important to the franchise as Chief Logray or Baron Papanoida

Now that you mention that there is only 5 game modes compared to the last game, I am a bit disappointed but look on the bright side, EA could add more DLC game modes later on, to name a few Order 66: can be the infection game mode of Star Wars Cargo: we don't have a Capture the flag type game mode yet And for the love of God CONQUEST!!!: we need a free mode like the old games when you can just get in the Veichles, capturing command posts, and can introduce multi seat vehicles and allow more than one player in one Veichle!

Well I'd like to add to this list: - Speeder bikes on Endor killing heroes like flies (at least, this didn't happen in the 2015 game) - Wookies are OP, they can take a hero on 1v1. - Vanguard on heroes: I have nothing against vanguard in general. But that thing is OP against heroes, thus giving birth to the vanguard bombers. The vanguard bomber, is a suicide guy that rushes the hero to take him down by doing insane dmg with it.

I‘m lvl 20 (didn‘t pre orderd The game) have all heoros and my assoult is lvl 19 and my specialist lvl 15, if you play the game right with some friends and go on objektives you level up fast and get better.. Stop crying about EAs faults and just play the game.. it‘s really fun (Sorry for my bad english)
It's not about playing with friends and leveling up faster, it's the shitty progression system. For example, your classes don't level up by XP, they level up by buying and upgrading star cards. So how the fuck are you supposed to buy and upgrade star cards with the low amount of credits and crafting parts you receive?

Granted I haven't sided with everything Ea has done with battlefront (microtransactions) (way over priced dlc's) but there is a lot of stuff Ea just can't fix. honestly though, it only took me a day to unlock vader, and it feels rewarding leveling him up and destroying in HvsV. i personally don’t think they should give everyone access to every hero off the bat, everyone’s going to choose vader and luke, at least locked characters lead to people trying out others.
I'm a bit salty as well that we didn't get all the characters from the last game such as dengar, greedo, director crenic (idk how to spell), Jyn, Nien Nunb, etc. Not only should we got the full roster but also most from 2005 battlefront 2. It would be awsome to have 10 jedi or sith heros with lightsabers and another 10-15 of blaster or other type character. A 50 hero roster would have so much variety and fun.
I would like more bounty hunters like IG 88 Dengar and even Cad Bane but from what I know of all the others coming out are Greavious, Count Duko, Jango Fett, Jyn Erso, Padmé, Anikin, and Obi Wan (Phasma and Finn are out by this time)
It's so annoying hearing people complain about buying heroes. If you would have saved the currency you make from leveling up in the beginning you could have bought them all. by level 10 I had Darth Vader, Luke, and Chewbacca. Don't complain because you spent all the easy money on boxes.
I think they choose background characters because since there isn’t much known about them it gives them a little more freedom to make a not well known character well recognized and cooler. Although I do wish they would have picked Anakin, Jango, etc.
Bossk is there because adding anakin would give a biased lightsaber hero count for one of the teams and jango would’ve been unfair as the villains would have 2 jet pack characters
They added Gredo because they only added heroes and villains from the original trilogy. So adding general grievous wouldn’t fit because he isn’t from the original trilogy.
Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault modes are different on every map, which is a bunch of different scenarios, and same with Strike with those smaller game modes you mentioned

I personally don't have many complaints. I play on xbone with wired ether net connection so experience no lag. I've had maybe 1 or 2 bugs and I've been playing since Christmas but every game is bound to have bugs. I would've like more hero's yes but I think they're planning to being more out. As the credits, they are really easy to obtain once you low what you're doing. You can easily make 400-500 credits a game if you're good, so it doesn't take long to unlock the hero's. Overall I love the game, I just wish there were more game modes
The progression system isn’t horrible but does need to be changed. It’s still a really good game but it has glitches galore, no spectator mode or private matches, and some heroes are not very amazing. Bossk is in the game because they can’t put another lightsaber hero. If you put Dooku or Grievous instead, there would be more lightsaber villains than heroes. If they put Jango instead, that would put too many prequel villains. It should be equal for both sides. Though, I would have liked to see Thrawn instead of Bossk as he would be a new hero and he has a lot more screen time in Rebels. Cosmetics are coming soon as evidenced by leaks and quotes by devs. We will be seeing Clone Customization for sure. It’s difficult to put lots of customization as it has to be approved by Lucasfilm which takes time. I love this game but I see all your points but hope you’ll still enjoy it overall. It will become better. Trust in the force.
Yeah I get your points but my thing with Bossk is okay you can't have another prequel trilogy villain to go with a hero from another era but there should have been many more new heroes in general :)

For the 7 v 7 HvsV why don't they just have all heroes and villains unlocked for that game mode even if you haven't unlocked them, and it could just work as a way people can test heroes, but they wouldn't have star cards and won't be able to use them in other game modes until they buy them.
10 things I hate about this game. 10. Locked Heros 9. No offline ship mode outside the campaign 8. Locked Customization 7. The Force can't affect someone behind a box 6. No reward for completing the campaign on a harder difficulty 5. Darth Maul can't block blaster bolts. 4. Small Clone Wars Content 3. Unplayable Campaign Characters 2.Missing playable characters 1.Locked Guns.
There's no way a legit Star Wars fan would have a problem with Bossk. People like IG-88, Dengar, Luminara, etc. are all iconic with little screen time. If they add statistics like KDR, everyone would be running gung-ho trying to get a higher KDR and impress friends and strangers than play the actual objective. Sometimes I am a little mad that I can’t see my KDR, but I understand why it isn’t added.
I wish they had just taken the core gameplay, given us conquest with open maps instead of linear and repetitive galactic assault, 64 players, had vehicles and starfighters spawn on the map instead of locked behind the battle points system, had loot boxes restricted purely to cosmetics, have a progression system that is AT LEAST decent and isn't centered around RNG or lootboxes, offline instant action, and given us a less predictable and decent single player campaign then boom you got a great game god it hurts just thinking about how much fucking fun this game could have been
Hero prices!? I want make some pratice and learn the base game mechanics so I finished the camp, done some challenges before jump the multiplayer. I was able to unlock evey hero and buy couple of boxes ( some ships were locked because im not into starfight). Bosk... I totally agree with you. If he deserves to be in game, Obi Wan,Mace Windu, Count Dooku, even the old Admiral which Vader choked on the movie...

From what I gather, Bossk was one of the favorite heroes from the first game (at least, everyone and their dog picked him when they got a hero spawn). I agree that he's not an important character overall besides that.
This game is incredibly unbalanced heroes lightsaber heroes will nearly always win against any gunning hero. Now people complain Finn or Boba Fett are too good, I say Boba and Finns damage and abilities are fair I’ll explain why in a few sentences. Nearly always a lightsaber wielding hero/villain will destroy or at least do lots of damage to a gunslinger hero/villain, the reason not because the gunslingers gave too low health or a lightsaber wielding hero/villain has too much of a damage output but rather say if your the gunslinger and your doing your job shooting enemies and then you spot a lightsaber hero/villain coming your way with the sole intent of killing you and won’t get distracted (this is the objective of most players.) so you decide to run and get back so you can shoot and kill them well as your running even as a fast gunslinger it’s very unlikely you’ll be able to run away from them even as Han running away from Vader (slowest hero in the game.) Vader can not completely catch up but can chase you at a formidable speed. Now the most unbalanced thing would have to be that every lightsaber wielded can stun/freeze/mindtrick/choke you and the range is very good for this attack, the choke or whatever will paralysis your character moving for a good couple of seconds giving the lightsaber hero/villain quickly catch up and at this point even if you shoot them even if they are on half health they will kill you 9 out of 10 times their lightsaber will also stun you for a short time giving time for another lightsaber slash and he cycle keeps on going until your hero/villain is dead and you couldn’t do anything to run away from them. Point is lightsaber hero’s/villains have at least one stunning ability (or in Kylo Ren’s case two stunning abilities.) which has a far too large of a range, will paralysis a hero’s movement giving the lightsaber hero/villain enough time to catch up with them and destroy them with their lightsaber. If you read this comment thanks took a while to write.

The thing is.. I‘m lvl 20 (didn‘t pre orderd The game) have all heoros and my assoult is lvl 19 and my specialist lvl 15, if you play the game right with some friends and go on objektives you level up fast and get better..

It's not about playing with friends and leveling up faster, it's the shitty progression system. For example, your classes don't level up by XP, they level up by buying and upgrading star cards. So how the fuck are you supposed to buy and upgrade star cards with the low amount of credits and crafting parts you receive?

When I first played battlefront 2 campaign I saw a rebel who was a species of Darth Maul but then the body keeps disappearing so I couldn’t take a screen shot
You know what, why don't everybody who has complained and carried on for the last 3 years about Battlefront and everybody who has complained for the last 2 months about Battlefront 2 just suck it up already. I'm SOOO tired of hearing complaining about this game. Battlefront 2015 was good Battlefront 2 is just as good.... BUT YET EVERYBODY HAS FOUND SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT!!!! These games aren't going to have everything EVERY SINGLE PERSON WANTS!!!! Because everybody wants this or that or why didn't they do this or why didn't they do that, just shut up and play the game already. The people who complained about Battlefront 2015 got Ea to do something different..... move in a different direction with Battlefront 2.... but now these same people are complaining that they didn't do stuff they did in the last Battlefront. WHAT!?!?!?!? You just said you didn't like the last Battlefront!!! Granted I haven't sided with everything Ea has done with battlefront (microtransactions) (way over priced dlc's) but there is a lot of stuff Ea just can't fix. I think they are in the "no matter what you do everybody is always mad at you" situation. Can no one just step back and say "man.... even though everything isnt perfect, we sure did get a lot."
honestly though, it only took me a day to unlock vader, and it feels rewarding leveling him up and destroying in HvsV. i personally don’t think they should give everyone access to every hero off the bat, everyone’s going to choose vader and luke, at least locked characters lead to people trying out others.
I'm a bit salty as well that we didn't get all the characters from the last game such as dengar, greedo, director crenic (idk how to spell), Jyn, Nien Nunb, etc. Not only should we got the full roster but also most from 2005 battlefront 2. It would be awsome to have 10 jedi or sith heros with lightsabers and another 10-15 of blaster or other type character. A 50 hero roster would have so much variety and fun.
I would like more bounty hunters like IG 88 Dengar and even Cad Bane but from what I know of all the others coming out are Greavious, Count Duko, Jango Fett, Jyn Erso, Padmé, Anikin, and Obi Wan (Phasma and Finn are out by this time)
It's so annoying hearing people complain about buying heroes. If you would have saved the currency you make from leveling up in the beginning you could have bought them all.
by level 10 I had Darth Vader, Luke, and Chewbacca. Don't complain because you spent all the easy money on boxes.

I think they choose background characters because since there isn’t much known about them it gives them a little more freedom to make a not well known character well recognized and cooler. Although I do wish they would have picked Anakin, Jango, etc.

Bossk is there because adding anakin would give a biased lightsaber hero count for one of the teams and jango would’ve been unfair as the villains would have 2 jet pack characters
They added Gredo because they only added heroes and villains from the original trilogy. So adding general grievous wouldn’t fit because he isn’t from the original trilogy.
Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault modes are different on every map, which is a bunch of different scenarios, and same with Strike with those smaller game modes you mentioned

Some strike maps are unfair, such as Takodana. The rebels have such a big advantage! They can literally CAMP!!!

I personally don't have many complaints. I play on xbone with wired ether net connection so experience no lag. I've had maybe 1 or 2 bugs and I've been playing since Christmas but every game is bound to have bugs. I would've like more hero's yes but I think they're planning to being more out. As the credits, they are really easy to obtain once you low what you're doing. You can easily make 400-500 credits a game if you're good, so it doesn't take long to unlock the hero's. Overall I love the game, I just wish there were more game modes

The progression system isn’t horrible but does need to be changed. It’s still a really good game but it has glitches galore, no spectator mode or private matches, and some heroes are not very amazing.
Bossk is in the game because they can’t put another lightsaber hero. If you put Dooku or Grievous instead, there would be more lightsaber villains than heroes. If they put Jango instead, that would put too many prequel villains. It should be equal for both sides. Though, I would have liked to see Thrawn instead of Bossk as he would be a new hero and he has a lot more screen time in Rebels.
Cosmetics are coming soon as evidenced by leaks and quotes by devs. We will be seeing Clone Customization for sure. It’s difficult to put lots of customization as it has to be approved by Lucasfilm which takes time.
I love this game but I see all your points but hope you’ll still enjoy it overall. It will become better. Trust in the force.
Yeah I get your points but my thing with Bossk is okay you can't have another prequel trilogy villain to go with a hero from another era but there should have been many more new heroes in general :)

For the 7 v 7 HvsV why don't they just have all heroes and villains unlocked for that game mode even if you haven't unlocked them, and it could just work as a way people can test heroes, but they wouldn't have star cards and won't be able to use them in other game modes until they buy them.
The heroes are really easy to unlock though, but they still shouldn't be locked I would have progresses further by now
My favourite game modes were droid run and drop zone. They were fast, intense and didn't become boring. This game lacks that

There's no way a legit Star Wars fan would have a problem with Bossk. People like IG-88, Dengar, Luminara, etc. are all iconic with little screen time. This has neen the case since the very first one came out. Bossk is very iconic and totally make sense considering thwy needed more gun weilding baddies

If they add statistics like KDR, everyone would be running gung-ho trying to get a higher KDR and impress friends and strangers than play the actual objective. Sometimes I am a little mad that I can’t see my KDR, but I understand why it isn’t added.

I wish they had just taken the core gameplay, given us conquest with open maps instead of linear and repetitive galactic assault, 64 players, had vehicles and starfighters spawn on the map instead of locked behind the battle points system, had loot boxes restricted purely to cosmetics, have a progression system that is AT LEAST decent and isn't centered around RNG or lootboxes, offline instant action, and given us a less predictable and decent single player campaign

Hero prices!? I want make some pratice and learn the base game mechanics so I finished the camp, done some challenges before jump the multiplayer. I was able to unlock evey hero and buy couple of boxes ( some ships were locked because im not into starfight). Bosk... I totally agree with you. If he deserves to be in game, Obi Wan,Mace Windu, Count Dooku, even the old Admiral which Vader choked on the movie...

I think they should have kept all maps, gamemodes, and heroes from the first game and still added the new mode. I wouldnt mind playing the old heroes vs villains with new heroes.
But i would like some background characters ( not bossk ) like plo koon or kit fisto or ki-adi-mundi because they are cool especially plo koon with force judgement the light side version of force lightning

From what I gather, Bossk was one of the favorite heroes from the first game (at least, everyone and their dog picked him when they got a hero spawn). I agree that he's not an important character overall besides that.

This game is incredibly unbalanced heroes lightsaber heroes will nearly always win against any gunning hero. Now people complain Finn or Boba Fett are too good, I say Boba and Finns damage and abilities are fair I’ll explain why in a few sentences. Nearly always a lightsaber wielding hero/villain will destroy or at least do lots of damage to a gunslinger hero/villain, the reason not because the gunslingers gave too low health or a lightsaber wielding hero/villain has too much of a damage output but rather say if your the gunslinger and your doing your job shooting enemies and then you spot a lightsaber hero/villain coming your way with the sole intent of killing you and won’t get distracted (this is the objective of most players.) so you decide to run and get back so you can shoot and kill them well as your running even as a fast gunslinger it’s very unlikely you’ll be able to run away from them even as Han running away from Vader (slowest hero in the game.) Vader can not completely catch up but can chase you at a formidable speed. Now the most unbalanced thing would have to be that every lightsaber wielded can stun/freeze/mindtrick/choke you and the range is very good for this attack, the choke or whatever will paralysis your character moving for a good couple of seconds giving the lightsaber hero/villain quickly catch up and at this point even if you shoot them even if they are on half health they will kill you 9 out of 10 times their lightsaber will also stun you for a short time giving time for another lightsaber slash and he cycle keeps on going until your hero/villain is dead and you couldn’t do anything to run away from them. Point is lightsaber hero’s/villains have at least one stunning ability (or in Kylo Ren’s case two stunning abilities.) which has a far too large of a range, will paralysis a hero’s movement giving the lightsaber hero/villain enough time to catch up with them and destroy them with their lightsaber. If you read this comment thanks took a while to write.
