    Is there a themeparc with six great hotels? With more than a hundred attractions? For children and adults? With fantastic theming and countless details? With exciting shows? And right next door one of the best water parks in Europe? Yes, it exists. Europapark in Rust/Germany

    Finally an American who doesn't just rant and rave about Phantasialand. I live in Frankfurt, between Europa-Park and Phantasialand, and I agree that Europa-Park is the best park. Phantasialand might have EP beat on some of their theming, but the overall experience is just better at EP, it's just a better time there.

      Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be ranting and raving about Phantasialand soon, but the two of them provide vastly different experiences that can’t be found elsewhere. They do what they do better than anyone else

      We can be glad that we have so many good theme parks in Germany. And I think every park has a different look and feel. As the 'largest' German parks, at least in terms of visitors, Phantasialand and Europa Park are of course always compared. I think they're both great.

      Whats wrong with raving about Phantasialand? Experience is highly subjective, isnt it? PHL is in my opinion absolutly one if not the best park in europe and you should considere yourself very lucky being so close to not only one but both of those 2 elite parks.

      @@sandraperkovic5254 indeed. there is a great documentary about how the park started as a true family leisure park and there are a lot of parts still there from the early days. The fact it is family owned plays a huge role. They had a mantra about no rides with inversions. That was completely deliberate and looking at my mom's or girlfriend's fear about them it's clear that this choice was made to keep it as family friendly as possible.

    5:30 that little ride is the best example of "what the fuck is happening, its bigger on the inside" the entrance is literally a small unsuspecting door in the middle of a small gateway between a rafting wateride and a carnival alley. And then you enter with a whole queue line underneath all of that with a decent long dark ride.

    Thanks for your great review. I live 30min drive to EP and love seeing how this park developed over the last years. Especially with my son growing up. He's now 15 and I remember how I was changing diapers in niced themed spots, his first ride on Pegasus and now he's doing a presentation about Voltron in english class.😊 But have you also experienced the shows. This is an additional program where you can spend a whole day. Especially in the winter season they have a more than 1 h circus show which is a great experience. And they also have closed from January to March for maintenance, which is great. All the rides are available during the season.

    Sitting and enjoying the atmosphere is so underrated. Best place to have a blast is the patio of the Spices restaurant just got watching people on Fjord Rafting getting soaked first in the wave pool and then from the manual fountain just at the other side. It's a whole crowd gathering there waiting for boats to float too close to the fountain and it's hilarious. 😂

    While I consider myself lucky to have this overall good theme park in close range, EP feels like mass processing in quite a couple of aspects. Phantasialand and Efteling just go much further in regards to creating the best possible experience. And this is kind of sad considering EP does have the finances to do much better, but no, they just go for good enough. Nevertheless I understand that's still an incredible package, if you mainly know amusement parks without any considerable theming.

    • @Manu-gf3yl
      @Manu-gf3yl Месяц назад +3

      Sry but i respectfuly disagree.
      Phantasialand may have 3-4 good coasters and two nice water rides, there isnt much else to do in this Park and if its not huge crowded, i am done by 3-4 hours and can already leave the park. The theming might be from a single point of view stunning, but it doesnt immerge me that much, bcs its so tiny and packed, that it lost its magic for me. Idk something about the park bothers me. And you always have to remove an attraction to build a new one. There isnt much nostalgia left in this park.
      Efteling might have nice attractions too and a beautiful landscape, but it doesnt offer any really good thrill rides, nor many good dark rides, beside one.
      Europa Park imo does more than just going for "good enough".
      I could tell you more than one example for being more than "just good enough" in theming and/ or attractions. It is the whole package and the magic that you get lost in.
      Ofc, if you get a very busy day in the park, its barely enjoable, but which park doesnt have that issue?
