    The turbo 1.5 is not a long term reliable engine to bad. Honda doesn’t seem to concerned about it

      So there use to be a bulletin and extended warranty but was removed but if you have a good enough warranty lady to look up warranty stuff it can be covered. Other dealership might be charging for this because there is no bulletin but it's like a hidden menu in the warranty department. Long story short part was on back order customer ended up trading this vehicle in for another vehicle and it Sat on our lot waiting for parts.

    what about the injector cleaner (royal purple, stp, gumout, etc.) that's poured into the gas tank, do they help? or does it cause more corrosion in the fuel lines, seals, etc?
    i''m on ~200K Km's on a V6 engine, i disabled the VCM so i get all 6 cylinders active all the time. No rich/ lean codes so far, about 24 ~ 27 MPG

      This is more for direct fuel injection. Not so much for port fuel injection. I'm not to sure about those product but majority of the fuel system is hard plastic. The only thing that's probably still hard metal is the fuel rails or anything under high pressure. But if your worried about corrosion cause by fuel it's due to the ethanol content in it.

      Just had an Odyssey with almost 500k kms in the shop yesterday finally kick the bucket. The stuck piston rings wore into the cylinder wall and just cause the piston to rock back and forth in the cylinder making a terrible noise.

    i want to get my hrv 2020 to 300k miles i started changing all liquids engine oil very 6 months,coolant, every 2 years,transmision,brake fluids,rear differential every year am i doing good ? or i miss some maintanance also year i clean throttle body,egr pcv am i doing good or still miss some cleaning or maintenance?

      That's already pretty good, might be too soon for some things. But dunno how many miles you drive in a year. I think the only thing missing is servicing the brakes and making sure everything moves freely and have those slide pins re-grease. Check and inspect engine air and cabin filter. But usually the service that needs to be done will show up in your maintenance reminder on the dash.

      These 1.5t will go down in history as one of the worst engines they ever built. But carbon build up is a direct injection issue
