Let’s see if I pay $30 for a game to play a mod client. They cease and desist the mod client. I refund my game. I get my $30 back. And get to play the leaked version for free because I still have the games download files from before I refunded. I’m now playing HM2 on a leak thru the files I had from a game I refunded. Reason they sent out the C&D hours before HM2 launches is because they knew people were hype for it and that as the release date for the mod approached, more people would by MWR in order to play it. So they waited until the sales for the game jumped and when it started to plateau, they sent out the C&D letter

What I dont understand is why do game companies hate photo and video leaks of a game they are not only working on, but patented the game and its features months before starting to develop the game. The leakers are basically giving the games free advertisement.

As the video mentions, Activision just completely played themselves with the fact that you can just buy MWR on steam now and then refund it and you can still play H2M with the installed files that don't get deleted. They KNEW people are gonna buy the game, especially on sale, and they KNOW people are gonna rack up time to kill chances of a refund for the game. Running task manager I don’t see anything… and that is also after runing h2. Not running it with MWR, but rather just the launcher. Is it safe to say I am good?
@@itsmeSubDELTA I'd do a Malwarebytes scan on the files you downloaded as I've had more success with that software with stuff like this than windows defender. I didn't download the files in fear for my PC and the dude didn't give me the name of the exe file. Other than that pray they don't do anything malicious.

My hope is that the community continues to push out these modded clients and then when activision shuts them down, less people buy the new game and as time goes on (hopefully not too long), activision realizes that cease and desisting these modded clients is what causes the sales of their new games to go down.

This literally changed my mind about playing it at all, and I have Gamepass so it would be free to me! To exist in the game even without spending money is still too much support from me after this.
I'll continue to chill in XDefiant and hope Ubisoft continues in a good direction with it.

What I dont understand is why do game companies hate photo and video leaks of a game they are not only working on, but patented the game and its features months before starting to develop the game. The leakers are basically giving the games free advertisement.

There's an EXE file in the download that takes screenshots on your PC and reads your saved passwords. I wouldn't trust downloading this.

@@itsmeSubDELTA There was another person in the discord saying it so I dmed him for proof and he showed me some screenshots of the code for the EXE when running. I'd at least wait like a week or more to see if ether one peoples accounts start to get stolen or what Activision's response is gonna be cause they could resort to IP banning people.

Running task manager I don’t see anything… and that is also after runing h2. Not running it with MWR, but rather just the launcher. Is it safe to say I am good?

@@itsmeSubDELTA I'd do a Malwarebytes scan on the files you downloaded as I've had more success with that software with stuff like this than windows defender. I didn't download the files in fear for my PC and the dude didn't give me the name of the exe file. Other than that pray they don't do anything malicious.

My hope is that the community continues to push out these modded clients and then when activision shuts them down, less people buy the new game and as time goes on (hopefully not too long), activision realizes that cease and desisting these modded clients is what causes the sales of their new games to go down.
