  • Installed the Palini variator today and also ordered some Michelin S1 tires on top of it, she picked up that bottom end acceleration

    Hey man good vid, yeah some lighter rollers should work... 4.7g. Clutchsprings look right.
    Big valve head? Put some work into those ports, match em to your header and manifold. Std heads are junk and porting is almost free $$$
    Great channel man, love how you test each mod.
    Consider sanding the head to up compression, use premium. Be prepared to upgrade crank bearings.

      Thanks man, yeah a built Naraku hd crank should keep it in check down the road, looking into porting the head as well we’re on the same exact page
      I’ll keep uploading a video with each mod I do and show the results from an honest perspective for something you can expect 👌

    Yoo man, I got a moped and I’ve been looking to upgrade. I took it to my local shop and they wanna charge me $700 to go from 50 to 100cc. They going to give me a new exhaust , new carb, . I feel like it’s extra asf, lead me in the right way👏🏾

      I cannot tell you and don’t Have a video to show you how to install that kit but it is relatively simple I watched a RUclips video on how to do it it took me about four hours you can easily do it yourself if you have the tools and the motivation I wish I had a video about how to do it but I never made one because I already put it in and then made a video

    Mix the roller weights with the factory heavy ones with a 14 or 16 g mix them with like the 12 g 3 on 3 and you'll get your combination I did it I got my low end torque and still got good top speed

  • @speedyme200
    @speedyme200 2 года назад

    Usually a larger-diameter variator will give you more top speed

    Hey bro you should come up by Flint and we ride together I'm trying to find a good exhaust for my 50cc TaoTao scooter that I upgraded it to 100cc what would be the good exhaust for it

      Once I get this bike back up and running for this season that could be fun. But honestly any cheap aftermarket open exhaust for these Chinese Gy6’s available from amazon to eBay or a timing shop is what your looking for. There all the same really

    Definitely go a lil heavier on the rollers. Unless they actually make a polini for the gy6 50 thats probably one for a Honda Elite 50. Ramp plate angle will be different than a stock or china variator

    • @davidhofinger4927

      A variator is a variator in a CVT transmission so yup I got a put 6 g rollers in there to get my TopSpeed where it should be at

    If I was you I would stay away from messing with the springs on your clutch or your Contra spring it will remove a certain percentage to get a better grip if you want high-speed I would stay stock with that you might want to try 5.5 6 .0 you can stagger them 5.5 6.0 5.56 .0 stagger them with that polini variator you should gain 3 miles per hour if you change your belt it will take at least 50 to 75 miles to get it broken in try some dr. Pulley sliders you'll definitely get more longevity mortorq you might get a little more speed they do tend to go up the ramp much farther have a good one man I've been watching your videos I have enjoyed them

    • @davidhofinger4927
      @davidhofinger4927  2 года назад

      Thank you I appreciate that but I actually I picked up a lot more out of my transmission when I played with the contra spring, I got a lot actually I’m going to fully build this transmission that’s where my focus is at right now, You should watch some of my older videos and you will see that I have indeed put in the things you have said already

      @@davidhofinger4927 oh okay the spring might have been old and usually what happens when that is as you give it throttle you will hear the RPMs go up high and then slowly settle down that's usually what happens yellow spring is 1500 RPM it just allows you to Rev it up but remember the tighter that spring is on your clutch it will slow you down on top end I have a 150 right now that I'm working on in the shop taking off all of his high-priced so-called high-performance changed his belt went back stock Contra spring ncy stock Springs in the clutch got rid of his oversized drive belt gained 6.3 miles an hour I want to see you turn out in a rocket ship just be careful how you do things

      @@andyproctor3588 That makes sense because with the 1500 contra spring gates power link belt and 7 g rollers just with that combination, I was at 46, after the gears 47 mph but After about a week or two after I put gears in the bike I lost 2mph of top speed out of nowhere it didn’t make sense the contra spring That I put in there was used already so it would make sense why my RPM raises really high and then drop low that’s exactly what’s happening, My bike does not rev as high as it used to out if nowhere, That’s why I’m going to put new rollers in there to negate that
