Fantastic episode on night gardening and the intriguing world of nocturnal insects! The discussion on plants that thrive in moonlight and the tips on landscape lighting were enlightening. It’s fascinating to learn about the ecosystem’s night shift and how different it is from the daytime. Looking forward to more insights on periodical cicadas in the upcoming episode. Keep up the great work! 😁Love the small blooper keep adding them.

Thank you so much. Really enjoy listening to you both. I have already bought some of the flowers for the Mood Garden I plan on putting in my back yard. Thank you for the interesting discussion. I will be adding some of the plants you both mentioned.

I love the moon flower vines too! They smell so good! They did great for me in Madison, MS. I tried them here in Edmond, OK and it was covered in hornworms! I had no idea that would be a problem. Enjoyed the show! Thanks!

This is so delightful. I'm gardening in St. Louis and DO NOT PLANT TOMATOES :-) (Except I'm going to put a couple in grow bags as an experiment).

Fun episode. Ken, can I please ask the name of the flowering tobacco you referred to? My best guess from the picture shown is Nicotiana sylvestris, but a lot of the species look pretty similar. Thanks.

Luna moths don't eat, they have no mouth parts.

Correct. You caught me desperately trying to come up with moth names on the spot. Just to clarify for others reading this, luna moth adults have reduced mouthparts and they do not eat. Adults live for about a week. The larva of luna moth do eat.
