Why do you regret using 2-4 fingerings? It makes for a much cooler and more gallopping sound because otherwise with cheating fingering it gives a more legato edge to the thirds.
This is by far my favorite interpretation of this piece, even midi interpretations sounds bad compared to this, real well played, trying to learn this piece too, wish me luck
yeah, im just still at the first page and the sheet music is easy but the speed is unreal, also doesnt help that i dont have my piano rn so only time i can practice is when going to my music conservatory,im also doing the 2-4 fingering and for me its easier than the 1-3 2-4 3-5 fingering but what do i know i just did organ for 9 months now, but i already got up to your tempo for the first 4 bars so i guess its going well, but the second variation is going to hurt on my wrists 😭
@@maarane alright, i like the sound of it at a faster tempo but in slow i can get more fluidity in the thirds section, can you give me some tips in how to tackle this beast of a piece?
@@YTSeiyaGoFire loose wrists are a must, the 2-4 is the hardest part for me so if you cramp or seize up it's basically over. if you struggle with the jumps take your time at first, envision the chord you want to jump to, and get the jump right at a slower tempo. speed comes with practice. this one is really a beast and doesn't have other etudes that can help out so you just need to practice it. the grande version is especially brutal on your hands so you probably will get tired at first, but practicing it will help you build hand and finger strength. you just need to put in time
1:26 my favorite part
well-played horse's hoof
Totally cool and awesome
It's the best S.137 Mazeppa recording I've ever heard.

Oh it definitely sounds better it's just a nightmare for me to play. :')
@@maarane That I can agree with. Ur wrist needs to be strong for that
@@maarane actually it's much easier :)
@@khalilmutallibov no, it is not, to play slow it is easier, but the tempo doesnt help
@@davikersulks9525 that's just a personal preference, use whatever you prefer :)

embrace the pain, enjoy it :)))

glgl! this one is a horrible beast when u do the 2-4 fingering so def needs some help from the piano gods to actually play it lol

Seriously bravoure
Thanks!!
Bloody hell, I already nearly broke my hand on s139 and still i'm thinking of doing this...
cmon alkan you can do it! I believe in you

@@Shinobu_Kocho578 start with feux follets for fun lmfao or harmonies is fine too

0:38 I find these easier than chromatics honestly... And it's better imagery in general...
time for you to play it too heh
wow!
pidän vuoden 1826 versiosta (Étude en Douze Exercices No. 4) ja tämä on vielä vaikeampaa (mutta tämä on räjähdys ja pidän myös tästä versiosta)🏆

Its 9/10 if you gonna hold notes on left and right hand
That very liszt-like chromatic run tho
