just picked up this same bike, it is such a hooligan on the street, WOW. It is literally like just riding a straight up dirt bike on the street. I have 250 TPI XCW as well, and the ergos are SO SIMILAR
How does the 500 compare to the 250 on single track/off road? I have 250 xcf and am thinking of selling it as well as my street bike and combining for this. I’m okay with the compromise on the street but just wondering if i would miss the dirt only bike or if the 500 would be just as good off road.
@@Ivan-mg5nx it is definitely capable of handling basically anything the 250 does, but the 500 feels more relaxed the 250 more attacking... the 500 definitely needs tires, but otherwise would be a great bike for trails and singletrack . I’m taking this one to Utah in the spring !!!
Just bought the same bike, 21 500 EXC. Very excited to see how modding goes for you guys to help steer my bike in the right direction! Coming from a heavy MX background I definitely see some changes coming in the power department and tires. The factory tail section is lame too, glad you guys are coming up with a replacement!
Wow, good Info. You make it sound like the bike is a piece of junk stock though. I'm thinking about buying one but I'm not ready to spend another 10 grand on aftermarket parts. I mx race on a 250sx with only a PC silencer and have been very successful and happy with it.

not even the option of adding a kick starter. You can add the auto-tune module to the PC and I believe set the AF ratio to what you want. I wonder if that could use the stock O2 sensor.
I've seen some reports of the mudguard wearing on the rear shock mount on the swingarm - is that still an issue on these bikes? I'm going to be setting one up this month.
I recently purchased the 20 model year. I would love to hear your opinion of the bike with an open loop ecu, fmf slip on and headers as that is what i am wanting to do.
I sold my 2014 xcfw 250 and ordered a 2021 xcfw 350. I assume the new bike will have more power, or did they clog it up so much it will be comperable or less?
Re power/performance - if I'm happy with 43hp, is there any reason to change any of it? The early efi bikes had some running problems tho, but a review I saw of the 2020 exc-f said it ran pretty good stock.
Im in New Jersey and you cant get any off-road vehicles plated out here except for a couple unicorns and EX-C's.. I paid $2000 for a decent condition 2001 KTM EX-C 250 2stroke.
