Is it your intention to do this without tape or tarpaulin? What are you going to use to make the pages denser? The tree was a gift wasn't it? My question is that the rain (water) doesn't run around the trunk from above and drip off inside? Are you going to add a cap to that? Do you want to further optimize this? Or are you still looking for your next permanent shelter that you can tweak to your liking now that you've had to rebuild your shore shelter. We are in the process of finding a shelter near a cliff to the Eastsea building the Baltic Sea. Beautiful view only about 25m from the cliffs on the edge of a clearing open to the Eastsea. In tropical countries like the philippines when it rains it really pours abd you cant make any decent fure if any . Regarding bushcraft shelters the rains only respect shelters with tarpaulin as roofs tiles or gi sheets . If not you run the risk of swimming in your own shelter. Your rains there are quite disciplined and shy.

I have my own story, harder by far, albeit with more love from others, which is not saying much, it was the wrong kind! I have done the same as Tut, protecting his Aunt James, but not now! Somehow I found or came in with what I would never learn in life, already in my soul. I'm so glad I don't have to judge anyone, they would not fare well with me. Amen!
