    Thanks for a great session. I used CGM for about 2 months and got great data that helped me drive my good intake to reduce/control the spikes. However, one thing that we don’t talk about is the “anxiety” that comes with CGM (it did with me) and the methods to control it. I’ve decided to give CGM a rest as the two months gave me tools that I need to use. I’ve been a vegetarian for 22 years (after being a huge meat eater before that) and I’m considering becoming a pescatarian to start the keto journey. Once I decide to move forward with that I’m brining the CGM back on my arm to monitor and adjust as I start making progress.
    Great work here, please continue and thanks for spreading good education. Appreciate this very much.

      Thank you for the kind words.
      I do agree that any monitoring tool can have that effect and it could be of help if effective methods are used to mitigate it.

      @@35sunoonkp50Hello mister AIIMS doctor, there have been several cases of people putting T2 diabetes into remission after cutting out foods that cause insulin resistance. Functional nutrition has been shown to increase insulin resistance, reducing dependence on medicine. You don’t have to shove tablets down your throat all the time.
      You guys have the sick mentality that everything a celebrity promotes is promotion and bad info. She has been through a lot and is helping others get through their own health struggles. Moreover, having seen videos by actual MDs on RUclips, including consultations with clinical nutritionists, I assert that all these videos give accurate information, without any fads.

      Great point. These trolls have no idea of what’s going on in the clinical community. Most good doctors in the west now ascribe to nutrition before doling out meds. There are several MDs on RUclips that shed light on nutrition, and show that it is a better long time cure than medical, for quite a few cases.

    Yeah.. i agree keto will reverse type 2 diabetes. But the question is will the reversal be the same even after we switch to normal diet over a period of time or we will fall into diabetes again if we change our diet back??

    • @surendarvijay2520
      @surendarvijay2520 Месяц назад +2

      It can return, so we should reintroduce carbohydrates slowly into our diet. Additionally, increasing muscle mass can improve insulin sensitivity. There’s a nice RUclips channel called glucose goddess that provides more info on meal timings, best foods etc.
      Take regular blood tests, under the guidance of a doctor to know if reintroducing carbohydrates is helping or not.

    • @WellnessbyAlkesh

      If one follows a well balanced diet post reversal then they can easily maintain healthy cardiometabolic health. On the other hand if we fall back to similar eating patterns that manifested the diabetes at the first place then there are chances that might return.

    How do you reverse type 2 diabetes if a good chunk of pancreatic cells is already resting in peace? I got diagnosed at 29 with a hba1c of 11, I think I am pretty messed up. I am 31 now on medication that stops your liver from secreting sugar that adds to the problem, I walk sometimes, and my blood sugar level is in check. I don't think I am a candidate for reversal, I've accepted it. Don't give me hope. 😢

      It depends on your calorific intake. I was restricting myself to 5g of carbs and increased my protein intake. Calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate which can be done in any gym with a nutritionist and use any fitness tracker to track the calories you're burning through your day to day activities. You need to increase your fat and protein intake in keto if you're someone who likes to do cardio everyday. As a baseline 2000 calories per day and you need 2000 calories from fat and proteins instead of carbs. Easy to do once you get a hang of it. Just eat chicken (grilled /tandoori without mint chutney), avoid food fried with batter and some veggies (avoid tomatoes, potatoes and any high carb veggies and avoid all forms of fruits). Also micronutrients will not be fulfilled with keto and would recommend taking a multi vitamin supplement.

      This is a good point. However, it can be remedied by reducing saturated fat content and replacing it by polyunsaturated fats. Ketogenic diet does directly attack the root cause of insulin sensitivity in most people.
