What do you think was going on with him?
Nothing
He was bored being there.😂
Two words. Senile. Dementia.
Alcohol
Dementia.
Al Pacino can do whatever he wants 🐐
😁
Yes
No. He effed it up. Whether intentional or not.
It wasn't a gaffe by Pacino, he did what they told him to do. The producers of the show should have had a clip to summarize the nominees because it was an awkward way to present Best Picture. If anything it was the producer's gaffe.
How do you know? Youre literally talking out your arse. He has a history of teleprompter gaffes. This was either eyesight related (esp based on what he said) or the man has dementia that none of us knew about and that’s what we saw. It reminded me of any number of dementia fueled confusion and gaffes that Biden has made and even members of my own family. Something wasn’t right with him and it certainly wasnt a request.
I think the Oscars kinda botched Pacino announcing the winner of Best Picture while the Oscar producers played the music. Just let the guy finish what he’s saying.
At least no one got slapped this time
We stand with AL. If he chooses to say it like that, then it was meant to be said like that. Period.
They pulled him baack in 😂
😂🤣😂🥇
Al Pacino ain't got no time to read the nominees. Hoo-ahhh
He was tired of the Oscars and he wanted to go home.
He has had a very long productive career. He has finally hit the wall. The producers knew he wasn't up to doing the traditional presentation and encouraged him to keep it short.
Oscars producer, Molly McNearney, said the decision to jump straight to the winner was made because "we were very worried that the show was going to be long".
McNearney, who is married to Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel, added: "By the time you get to the end of the show, you've seen all 10 best picture clip packages.
"People just want to hear who wins, and they're pretty ready for the show to be over. At least that's what we anticipated. So, we did not give him a clip package. We did not give him nominations to read."
Addressing Pacino, she apologised if the decision "put him in a tough spot".
Tom Hanks did the same thing. Didn't mention any of the nominations, but just went straight to the winner.
That's the way to do it
They should do the entire show this way. Make it a 30 minute thing instead of 3 hours… Maybe then more people would actually watch it 🤔
Less people would watch. 😂
More people would watch if the ceremony was shorter.
I was like wtf!
Is he okay? At the same time I was like, well done Al!!! The untouchable Al Pachino!!
ikr! 😂
This wasnt a botch though lol. It was intentional
I love it . Let Al Pacino be. He deserves to be able to get away with something like that.
Al Pacino is awesome as usual!
Hollywood sucks
BIG time.
He’s lived a successful life, let him be, he’s living the dream 😬
Sherri was right. Pacino was at a Game Awards show a couple of years ago as a presenter and he struggled to read the teleprompter then, too.
Who cares? It’s not a big deal at all even to discuss it everywhere. It’s oddly cool and to the business. I love it!
I kind of like what Al Pacino is doing. He has his own style.
Something similar happened at The Game Awards 2022 when he couldn't read the teleprompter.
He's freaking Al Pacino He's a legendary.. leaving alone
Him being 80 has nothing to do with it
83 and he was alone on stage I wonder what they were thinking?
Gotta get used to it…just a glimpse of the next 4 years of whoever is the next US President.
It wasn't the worst.@@francaperotti8343
At least he didn't say, let me introduce you to my new friend.
His movie about money was crazy…
All I know is John Mulaney loved it
🐐Pacino
THE GOAT DOESNT GAFFE EVERYONE ELSE GAFFED
A few days previously, Al finished wrapping a film directed by Johnny Depp, Modi (about Amadeus Modigliani). Depp said Pacino’s performance was impeccable. This proud 83-year-old papa has a 5-month-old new baby he is crazy about and actively cares for, along with a pile of other kids. Guess the guy has other things to think about. Besides, we saw all the clips already and wanted the nearly 4-hour show to end!
I wonder if this is the last time Al walks upon the Oscars stage?
Pacino is the GOAT. He can do whatever he wants.
I wonder if it was planed that way, or Pacino decided to cut it short himself?
It was planned by the Oscar producers. Pacino even had to make a statement about him not reading all the nominees
He butchered it but it was hysterical and I was so down with it😂
He thought the other movies were shit so he didn't care to announce them
😂😂😂😂😂
Why did these producers change so many traditions this year? No clips of the nominees and no montage of the nominees at the end? That was dumb. Change it back
I’m soooo glad that Oppenheimer won big!! It’s my favorite movie of 2023.
I’m glad Godzilla Minus One won best visual effects! It’s my 2nd favorite movie of 2023!!
I’m a bit sad they forgot Lance Reddick from John Wick and Akira Toriyama(legendary creator of the Dragon Ball series) in the “In Memoriam” section.
To be fair, Toriyama died very recently, so they may not have had enough time to add him. Hopefully, he’ll be in next years show.
However, forgetting Lance Reddick was uncool.
As for Al Pacino! I don’t blame him. He’s old! It’s all good! He’s still “The Godfather.”
screw it...that's Al Pacino...he can do whatever he wants
Looper, your channel is awesome and I love your videos, but don't ever take sides with anyone against Al Pacino again!
Well, that's all folks!
At least he didn't have to walk out naked like Cena Man first Acme gets shelfed now this
It's Al
One of the greatest actors and always will ❤🤙
Nobody cares, really.
Here's the thing, no one gives a f***! It's Al Pachino for heaven's sake!!
El drunkO 😂
It's Pacino, what do you expect? Fantastic actor but he's always been on the edge. He makes Nicholas Cage seem stable.
Isn't he in his early 80s with a little baby at home? He's probably exhausted and half asleep but "women and children can be careless not men".
pacino was great in that one movie
Pacino was great in a lot of movies.
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc yea but he was particularly amazing in that 1 movie
@@frankcross6958 Which movie was that?
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc Scarface.
not interested
The academy walked right into that one. Why on earth would you task someone that age with that responsibility. Leave him out there on his own with no second to help guide him like they've done in the past. That's their fault as much as it is his gaffe. That's it and that's all!
At the end it's Al, unexpected is expected, too late to blame him,it's not on him!!!!
Pacino is practicing being president. Let’s go Brandon?
Yea I wondered why he didn't say the other nominees.
Not to be ageist (I'm 60 and no spring chicken) but wtf he seemed like someone's eccentric drunk old grandpa who was dragged out of bed with bad hair and shoved on stage with a page of script and an envelope. Gotta be the most anti-climactic Best Picture Academy Award of all time. At least pay tribute to all the nominees first, even if we already know them. This year's Oscars will be best remembered as fairly boring except for Ryan Gosling's "I'm Just Ken".
Oh it was a bang, all right!! We were sick of the Kimmel and woke tropes 3:30
Had he been drinking? That would explain a lot.
Was he drunk or something?
No just old.
This channel sucks because it's constantly, constantly regurgitating this Twitter-style bile. He's an old man and one of the greatest living actors. Give him a break.
Next time any presenter over 80 should do cognitive tests first.
He’s old and just wanted to get home to bed. Give him a break
It's so simple to know why. His ego is sooo big that he didn't feel the need to rehearse. "It's at this moment he realized he f***ed-up".
