I bought a MBX7 Eco M-Spec and received it 2 days ago and I have to say I am mighty impressed by the build quality and by all the engineering that went into this buggy. Can't wait to put electronics in this bad boy !!!
If I was completely honest, I would say they are almost identical and recommend NOT upgrading. Having held them side by side, They are both identically Beastly and Durable and alike in almost every manner
Thanks Rick - It was kind of funny how I had to go back and forth with them on the pronunciation as they kept saying they don't sell German Brands - All I had to say was MBX7 Eco and I would have saved them the torture :)
Thanks Bud! It is most definitely an Amazing piece of RC. It retails for $550 in North America and is muuuuuch cheaper in Japan, where it's made. Even for $550, it's an unbelievable RC :)
Not sure if you realize this but you linked this unboxing video of this buggy in your review of the Mugen Seiki MBX7TE truggy at amain.com... Not correct. You should probably correct your review at amain...
Hi, I'm planning on getting an MBX-7 Eco too but I'm a real newbie when it comes to installing the rest of what is required. Would very much like to see a video with you installing the steering servo, motor, esc, radio etc. Some details would of course differ in terms of make/model of the stuff but it would still be a terrific guide.
Hey Jona - I would highly recommend this over the Losi and DEX408 v2. Not only because of the overall quality of the Buggy but also the durability and versatility of it's ability to be used as Racer or a Basher - I would say Go for The Mugen :)
Hey buddy have you done your build yet I can't find it if you have I would love to see it when it's done 1 of these days I'm going to build my own I've been in a long enough now I think I can do it I love your videos brother I haven't forgotten about you just laid low for awhile👍👌✌✊👊
+T.House I bought mine in Tokyo and this is the M-Spec. They have since gone completely to the kit version. You can still find then in a lot of Hobby Shops as well as almost all of them in Tokyo. Hope this helps :)
Hello. Excellent Video! Thanks for the upload. My sister is going to Japan next week and I want her to get me this car LOL! Since its cheaper price over there in Japan homeland. So is this the MBX7 Eco M-Spec? Is that the complete model number of this? I've never heard of the M-spec, any idea what that means? That is awesome that it comes 80% assembled. I dont think you can find a mugen assembled like that here in the states. Ive been a team associated guy but I want to take this hobby to the next level and get a Mugen. Thanks again!
Its a place call RC Advisor Chamo in Akhihabara Tokyo. This is their website: www.rc-champ.co.jp You can call ahead and have them reserve one for you. Make sure she takes her passport with her for the 8% discount. Let me know if you need any more info :)
That's Awesome as well. Just so that yo know that the Truggy comes as a Kit that you will need to build from scratch - Still an Amazing Racer and Basher :)
***** I'm doing a single Video of the Build series in a week or two where I'll fats forward all the installation process and all - Stick around for it :)
Hello RC MAINA! I am really confused about this. I look at places and it says this is a kit. Then I look it up and I see this assembled out of the box. It would really help if you could clear this up and tell me where I can get this version of this kit. I was looking at amain.com's buggy. Thanks!
Nerd Herd Completely valid question. I think the confusion comes from what you now see on Amain and other Hobby Sites is the MBX7 Eco R-Spec (Kit). The one I have is the M-Spec (ARTR) which is no longer in production but you can definitely still find in Hobby Stores everywhere. Let me know where you're located and I'll try to point you in the right direction to find one. Hope this helps :)
RC MANIAC - BASHER RC Well thanks for the information... but I live on a island off the coast of Massachusetts which means i have to go on a 45 min boat then drive another 45 min to get to the nearest big hobby store. Is this possible to find this online? Thanks ;)
Nerd Herd Let me have a look and see, though the only place I can think of right off the bat would be ordering it from Japan. Let me see what I can find for you
Mr Mac The only place they are still available is Japan - The other option for the US is theta you go to retch do net and post a wanted add and lots of people have brand new ones in their inventory
Awsome buggy! I just bought a used mbx7r eco, and I love it! Best quality 1/8 buggy IMO. Subbed! Check out my channel, I have a track 1 min from my house. I'm going to start racing soon!😎
Bashing RC 24/7 - Firstly thanks for the sub and couldn’t agree more ok the quality of this buggy. In love with all things Mugen. Good luck with the racing and let me know how that goes.
Saluti
FEDERICO DI MARTINO Thank you for your very kind comments on My Video. chuck farley - Similar stance but much higher quality and precision based design for the track. Love the Vorza but it’s a Basher and one of the best in the Buggy Basher Class. Mugen has been around for a long long time and is one of the best.
I bought a MBX7 Eco M-Spec and received it 2 days ago and I have to say I am mighty impressed by the build quality and by all the engineering that went into this buggy.
Can't wait to put electronics in this bad boy !!!
That is a well built buggy I know you are going to have a lot of fun building it and running it
It really is a one of a kind RC :)
RC MANIAC - BASHER RC How much better is the 7 then the 6? I have the 6.
If I was completely honest, I would say they are almost identical and recommend NOT upgrading.
Having held them side by side, They are both identically Beastly and Durable and alike in almost every manner
Very nice! That is one well built kit! You can tell just by looking at it that it's in a different class to an RTR. Well done on your purchase. :)
Thanks Vas - Highly recommend it as it's a Great Basher as well. I've folks put it through serious torture and have it come out shining :)
Nice video, T! I've always had my eye on the Mugen (and now I k ow how to say it correctly! Lol). Great buggy
Thanks Rick - It was kind of funny how I had to go back and forth with them on the pronunciation as they kept saying they don't sell German Brands - All I had to say was MBX7 Eco and I would have saved them the torture :)

It is most definitely an Amazing piece of RC. It retails for $550 in North America and is muuuuuch cheaper in Japan, where it's made.

i was thinking of a truggy but cant decide which truggy
do you think the mugen truggy is a good basher aswell?
Is it better quality then the Losi 8ight e 3.0. I don't know if I should go for this the Losi or Team Durango dex408v2.
Hey Jona - I would highly recommend this over the Losi and DEX408 v2. Not only because of the overall quality of the Buggy but also the durability and versatility of it's ability to be used as Racer or a Basher - I would say Go for The Mugen :)
Mugen and kyosho make the best buggies hands down
I have a friend in japan, can you share where and what store you got this from? Thanks! I'd love to try mugen.
Hey i really like the video and the buggy lol I'm getting one two that buggy is one of the best you know but I'm doing the same thing bashing

Looks good to me. But I just cannot find much information about the company itself, which I'm interested.

Nice set up, very very good quality. Is it heavy? I have a SuperLight buggy? Who will be winning lol?
+RC Fanatics
It's actually quite light and corners like you wouldn't believe. Who will be winning? Umm Me ;)
