"You should start a fire" "What?" "What?" 🤣
Yeah, I was just reaching for my drink when that came up. If that was 5 seconds later, I would have drenched my PC screen. My favorite TechDweeb joke in a while...LOL

Aw mate, that got me. Humour just right at my level. Brilliant.
its an ayaneo so it might on its own
Video production quality on your videos are so good and the face animations are super fun. Good job!
Thanks for saying so!
Simulation?

Too late
If use your link to buy will it come preloaded with games?
Never seen a retro handheld that comes with real-time voice AI, amazing!
I just started watching your videos today, I can't stop enjoying it, your videos are awesome and i love it, the style, the personality and everything just making me addicted
Thanks for taking the time to say so!
The french statement translates to "Would you like to be pelted with pickles?"😆
Touché
This is one of your best videos ever. I can tell you had a lot of fun making it lol
Love your videos . Very slick and funny but informative also . Thanks 👍
I really enjoyed this type of review giving the product a voice. Very creative! Will be back for more reviews
You’ve been growing a lot lately I found your page at 5k followers
Thanks buddy! Slowly but surely :D
The talking AI robot voice is a nice touch. Reminds me of the late 90s PJ cartoon hosts and their animated counterparts bouncing off each other between programs airing. Very retro touch
So entertaining. I love your spin on this. Great work.
You're an artist! His videos are extremely ambient, very immersive and enjoyable lighting, what a satisfaction to see the irreverent and detailed way in his reviews
Congratulations!
i ordered the exact model reviewed here. looking forward to getting it
Hi TD! Fun as always. I hope tonight was a good one for you 😀
I love your reviews, they are always fun and good :)
Greetings from Mexico :D!
Greetings!
what a nice channel! always enjoy this well crafted and cosy vids :D
Thanky!
Great video! Loved the insistance on calling him pockets
These videos ooze so much personality. One of my favorites along with Retro Game Corps.
Well made n fun as always 🕹️👾
Keep it up TD 👍
Damn man , the video quality is top notch
Thank you for being such a fun person!
omg the butt slap lol
the dweeb videos just get better and better. love the device as a character describing their own design
Dude your videos are so fun. Just pure joy!
Weird compliment, but this is the coolest looking thumbnail I've ever seen lol. Those colors soothe me for some reason.
I "might" be addicted to retro handhelds. Welcome to being a handheld collector lol! Great video! I agree with like everything lol.
I have the same addiction to retro handhelds
Im not addicted. I just ALWAYS need more of them.
We all do. We enable each other.
@@TechDweeb I can stop whenever I have to. I just don’t want to. It’s fine. Relax shut up
You’re not crazy Tech Dweeb because I heard it too! 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome review 🎉❤
Thank for the honest review! It’s a super nice device but seems to be ahead of its time (lack of software). I’m eager to see the Pocket DMG
I would love a full on comparison between this and the Odin 2 😎 you rock dork
Thanks nerd
your videos are great!
Great review!
This, with that grip case are promising! 💚I'm loving where the industry is going with all this stuff, though... at the same time it feels like we've been "on the edge" of perfection for a WHILE.
Thank you so much for your interview on Adin Walls' channel. I'm a classical musician at about a D-List level in my field, and I'm almost 4 months into my sobriety journey. The comments that you made about both addiction and your role in life as an artist really resonated with me. Also, I love your content! Keep up the amazing work :-)
maybe your BEST intro yet! haahahahahahaha
Agree hahaha It surpassed the Asus Zenbook one, which was the best.
You’re hilarious. Man I love this channel 😍😂😂
Howdy. I've been following you for some time and I honestly appreciate your quality humor, but when I heard the phase with "bombarder de cornichons" I subscribed instantly.😁
I own only one retro device, namely RG35XX H... Yeah, the ZAZZBIZZLE, which arrived a few days ago and which I'm still trying to get used to. It's ok, but the screen seems too small and I'm thinking of getting one with a bigger screen in the near future and with more "muscles" for more demanding games.😄
Finally, great video. You are so funny to watch. 🥳I think you have become my No. 1 Comedy channel.... Aaaa... I mean Retro Handheld Channel.😅 Big like and greetings from Romania!👍
This would be better if the price was lower but nice looking product
Agreed
The device looks beautiful and I'd love to have one, but a less than stellar d-pad is a dealbreaker 😭 $400 is definitely a ton of money, but I could let my bank account take a big hit if this one device could play all my retro games with amazing controls, even the 8 bit stuff.
Loved the video! You're one of the top emulation handheld RUclipsrs for me and I'm always excited to see you put new videos out!
also a less than stellar joysticks and in practice the faster chipset isnt that much faster at all.
Since declaring this my favorite retro handheld channel, TechDweeb has been putting out his best videos yet.
So i want more. I demand more entertainment!
Ok bye.
Your wish is my command!
@@TechDweeb bluff called. Ill prolly just watch whatever you make. I dont have the drive to start demanding specifics.
That opening bit was hilarious
That is clean. It looks so nice in white. Clean.
It’s a beautiful handheld but the price and having to get a case for better ergonomics keeps me with my Odin 2 Pro. Excellent review as always.
And Ayaneo is a shit-tier company. Terrible QC and support.
Really? I haven’t looked too deep about their after sales support.
@samsungfan1982 yeah it's bad. Their brand subreddit is full of horror stories. I've literally seen someone ask for advice about purchasing an ayaneo device vs a steam deck and 90% of people said get the Steam Deck. On their own subreddit.
I think this is my new aspirational device. Although that Odin is pretty compelling, too.
aww man, wish the 1440p one was still in stock ;-) This is definitely a slick looking handheld!
Question, what are the limitations of android? It seems it does what other handhelds do with more power or am I totally missing something? 15:02
Great video, but how long was battery life lasting you during use?
Is the boot loader unlocked?
wonder if you could install Steam OS or windows although probably run into some driver problems
Great review! Not for me given the Odin 2, BUT... Maybe an idea for your next video would be to try Mobox? NFS: The Run? I think this might shine when it comes to emulating windows apps.
Great review, love the comedy. Don’t let people tell you otherwise, talking to inanimate objects means you’re always surrounded by friends and the world is more vibrant than those normies. One note: at 11:53 did you mean Odin 2 or pockets?
11:53 Both. Any Android device really. At a certain point it doesn't matter how much power you can get because you won't be able to make full use of it using the software we have.
So you use a Samsung Galaxy S10+! Stock OS or cfw? I've just bought a S10e for a ridiculous price, but I'm not sure what cfw I should install (unless official Lineage OS 21 comes out) 🙃
whew it looks really good, i like the iphone 5 type aesthetic
Love the intro
Nah cost is too high.
Do we know the refresh rate on this screen? I want a machine for emulation but id like to run cod at 120..
I like it but what major benefit does it offer over a powerful Android phone and a Backbone/Razer controller? I already own a phone and the controllers come up on Amazon warehouse at massive discounts fairly regularly (I paid $50 for Kishi2)
Great review! What's the phone stand you're using at 13:27?

@@TechDweeb Thank you!
The personality that you gave Pockets almost made me enticed to buy 😂
Don't let his bubbly personality fool you. He's a snake in the grass!
@@TechDweeb snakes in boots are ok, but we draw the line at grass
I think this is the most aesthetically pleasing handheld I’ve ever seen. When I first saw it teased my jaw dropped, but they took so long to give an official release date and price I ended up buying a steam deck in the interim. I do want a smaller pocketable device but that’s going to be the new Anbernic SP, so I guess I’ll wait to see if any new system emulators get released for android and if so I’ll then look for sales on either this or the Odin 2 mini for a “mid size” kind of portable, I think… idk XD
pocket? that things heeyowwge!
also how did you keep the face in line with the screen in the moving shots?
Hey Tech Dweeb do you know any product that covers your analog stick from dust? Mine is collecting dust on the inside.
Nope. I would take a strong air duster to it.
@@TechDweeb how about the best phone controller for emulation?
🤣 Ayaneo "Pockets". Love it. When i saw it i though this looks like some premium samsung phone had a baby with the Retroid Pocket 4 pro.
Nice editing
Best video so far😂
I'm happy with my miyoo mini plus and oled steam deck. They also came with cases, that was nice. Linux for life!!!
the lore deepens
As a sensible and serious man-adult, your PocketS little "tee hee" melted my heart. ❤
New episodes i want to see ALL devices come alive and talk.
I would love an OLED screen 👌
ayaneo updated the d-pad on the pocket s one More time in the last couple of days, could you test it again?
Did the update. Fixed nothing.
really interested in windows for arm on this thing
Superb
I came for the Dweeb but stayed for the Advance Wars.
I'd really like to see smaller, cheaper and more power efficient x86 handheld PC that can play 2D indie games from my steam library arrive on the market, the closest thing is the Loki Zero but it deserves more competition since it's not perfect and pretty much a nightmare to get your hands on one
Anbernic win 600 but even that one is bad.
@@ninjason57 well it's not all bad but it's still a bit large, battery doesn't last a lot longer than 2 hours and is almost as expensive as a steam deck which is way better, but i'd be willing to pay steam deck price for a smaller steam deck with a less powerful but less power hungry chip
lovely intro :D
That toilet paper B-roll 😂
so compared to Odin 2 pro? i guess there is no point in getting this if you have the odin 2 right?
Correct. It's a marginal upgrade in terms of performance, and a downgrade in the controls.
@@TechDweeb what we need is an Odin 2 Pro type handheld, with the same level of battery optimization but for windows gaming. Now that would be awesome. Having said that, Winlator does seem to be coming along nicely.
Going the extra mile, it makes me like a review that I don't really care about. Good job.
for that price point i expect an audio jack included
Could you try winlator on it? I bet it can handle some pc games just fine!
Pockets did the outro? Drunk with power!
I've been replaced. It's for the best.
That pocket s guy is so cute. want to see him more
Everyone hated the rp4 for it's standard flat ergonomics. Will we have the same issue here? 🤔
Is the PlayGames certicied? Can it run Monster Hunter Now?
Really like the color and look but the price is gnarly. I think my next device is going to be the rg cube. It looks so stupid, and cute and wonderful
I love my retroid pocket 4 pro size. Just give me these internals and I'm golden.
Odin 2 mini
The Grimbeard Civvie 11 vibes have invaded!
do you have a cheap handheld emulation thing for 60 dollars? that has the best power?
R36S
@@TechDweeb thanks
Intro was hilarious
Thanks to your review and RGC's I have decided to cancel my order for this. Definitely disappointed in the dpad, the sticks and the drivers. And really happy at the announcement of the odin 2 mini as that will basically check all of my boxes bar any fatal flaws that might appear once reviewers get their hands on it. Appreciate reviewers for saving consumer's money, thanks TechDweeb!
Wondering if anyone has had playable experiences with Pokémon RPGmaker games with this device. Wanting to know due to the Ayaneo Pocket DMG coming out with same specs.
I really hope we eventually get a full steam client for android. If steam just allowed devs the choice to port their games to Android a lot would since they already have an arm version for switch to base it on. Would buy a device like this in a heartbeat if it could play my steam games. Plus with the right optimization something like this would be plenty powerful enough to play even the most demanding games at 720p low settings
Odin 2 owners will like this review
It's a cool aesthetic! But it's basically the Retroid pocket 4 plus. But it's good to see it pushing in the emulator region 🔥
You know those people who always buy the new most expensive version of an iPad every time one comes out? I feel like they were going after that crowd with the Pocket S.
Haha yeah probably
I was incredibly happy when I bought the PocketS, but seeing all these in-depth reviews and hearing that the things I'd care about (dpad, sticks, key mapper) really bums me out ahead of receiving it...
Great review!
When it comes to the device itself - such a dpad and other flaws with that price? Sorry, definitely a "no"!
Odin 2 and Retroid Pocket 4 Pro are way better when it comes to most bang for buck.
Hahaa! Love the dialogue with the AI demon, even if it tells you to burn things
