No one outside of England rates Ashley Cole as the best LB. He like John Terry played in a defensive system under Mourinho which enhanced defensive qualities. Roberto Carlos is the obvious best LB in terms of revolutionizing the full back role & him being so amazing in attack in terms of passing, crossing, shooting but also pure speed, so sound defensively. Marcelo is a close 2nd for me because he was a nr.10 Ronaldinho type of full back.
Rio is hardly rated outside of the EPL as top 10 CB. Terry might barely make it.

The narrative that Pele is not a top 10 player is an absolute joke. If you know your facts, you would be aware that the brazilian was the strongest league from the 60s-70s. And the majority of Pele’s recorded goals were legitimate.
And Pele played most of these "friendlies" against top tier, first Division European sides, including the likes of real Madrid, Barca, Milan, benfica etc., 144 goals in like 130 matches. Also Pele played and performed at the wc which was considered the biggest stage at the time, much like the Champion League is today. Pele imo was actually better than most people believe although i still think it is obviously hard to rate past players. But still, people disrespect Pele to a certain degree these days especially younger fans like myself.
