Definitely not the first person to say this but: Hannibal just baby trapped Will with Abigail.
I never would have thought of it like that LMAO. That's actually crazy 😭
that is 100% what happened
13:29 "Will just can't think Straight right now cause he's unstable"
Honey that's probably not the only reason 😅
In this house we're rooting for our murder family. "We are her fathers now". Yeah. I love how Hannibal is baby trapping Will and family roleplaying with him lol
After episode 11, oh yeah "murder family" is correct 😭
"Who do you root for in this show?" 🤣 Here's the thing with us Fannibals- we are experts at finding ways to defend the indefensible when it comes to these characters. This is one of those shows where you probably shouldn't root for most of the characters, but.... you can't help it. The writing, acting, everything is so good you get drawn in and make allowances for whoever your favorites are. I'm a Hannibal girl all day, every day. 🤷♀ In real life, would I make justifications for a cannibalistic serial killer- clearly not. 🤪 But this is fiction and Mads Mikkelsen is too charming and talented to be denied. You will see some genuine moments of humanity in Hannibal that give him layers beyond "crazy killer."
Totally agree! We loved hannibal in silence of the lambs and even more in this show. I definitely don't feel bad about it 😂
12:43 love Hannibal lightly touching his scalpel. It's like he's hesitating. 'Should i kill Will now? I don't want to tho'
yeeess he was so thinking about it but he found will interesting and he was just getting started
13:06 "We are her fathers now"
Rewatching the show, it looks like it's Hannibal's plan to babytrap Will with Abigail since ep1😂 He showed up at Abigail's bed side so he was the first person Will saw being asleep by Abigail's side HOLDING HER HAND after the incident.😭 Will got no chance at leaving Hannibal
We can't wait for our rewatch! Definitely gotta find some reactors we like 🔥
Hugh’s (will) line delivery on “I am not abused” 10/10 and hannibal definitely does NOT want will to get that brain scan
"Oh no Will, do not go to another doctor for a second opinion, stay with me Will! You're so much easier to manipulate that way! Also, allow me to point out how you're a danger to yourself and others, does that make you very anxious? Oh no, what a shame."
"We are her fathers Will" Marry me Will.
The baby trap with Abigail was next level 😂
he so clingy 🙄
Really enjoy your reactions! I think what makes the show so interesting is the nuance and shades of grey. I don't see the thing with Jack as "one side or the other is wrong" but that they are both doing things they shouldn't. Yes, Will should be honest because what he is going through is a big deal. However, Jack has a history of skirting the line of morality and professionalism when it comes to Will. He uses Will's desire to help people to convince him to bear the consequences of the work. Sure he didn't say "You're not allowed to quit" but he's a foil to Hannibal for a reason; he can manipulate, too. 🤷 I also think this episode is where Hannibal plays his hand when it comes to Abigail. It seems he often uses her as a way to create a deeper connection with Will. Fathers, indeed. 😉
Glad you're enjoying the vids! You're totally right. As entertaining as it is, it gets frustrating knowing a lot of this could be easily avoided lol. Jack shouldn't be anywhere near this case given his personal ties to it(not to mention him threatening to kill the ripper). Will needs to learn that you can't help others until you help yourself first. But of course, watching the chaos is a lot more fun 🍿😂
This 100%!
Every character being honest this episode but still can't trust any of them 😂 thats Hannibal for you!
A lot of them mean well, but they're messing up so bad 😂
13:37 when i first saw this i thought 'why do the white thingy look like fingers😖', and apparently that's intentional!
The food stylist used white asparagus that she cut into thumb and finger lengths to suggest finger bones.
From her blog, "I want her leafy greens to be even more menacing than the oozing meat on the Will and Hannibal’s plates."
thanks so smart every detail I learn about makes this show 10x cooler
That vegetarian plate had us on edge for sure! She did a great job there
"who do you root for in this show??" is a good question but i dont think youll like the answer lmao
Oh no 😭 we're finishing the season tomorrow. Kinda nervous to see what happens lol
Awesome reaction! Love how invested you guys are in this (and 'Hannibal is so nurturing' is such a good response - I think a hug from Mads Mikkelsen could fix me)
I also think the 'everyone's letting things slide' is a very poignant observation. With Will, Jack anf Alana are giving him opportunities to speak up but don't really follow through in helping him. They all expect Hannibal to be the one to do that, which is if course where it all goes to crap.
As a ND person, I will always be biased towards Will, but I do think if someone other than Hannibal had sat him down and had an actual convo with him things would go very differently (Jack's 'is there a problem' always sounded like 'are you a problem' to me)
I do think people sleep on Will's 'evidently not well enough' line though when Hannibal admits to hiding the body with Abigail
Such a great, unhinged response that shows how far he is willing to go from the moral choice to preserve his legacy (Abigail) ❤
Such a good show 😂
Thanks for watching! You're right about things going way differently if they didn't put all this trust in Hannibal. The two episodes after this Hannibal was really in his bag 😭
I just realized that that man is Carl from Detroit become human-
The killer?? We didn't notice either til now 🤯
@byrdmanteddie yes, the killer
Amazing i didnt realise either!
Lance Henriksen is a legend 😎
1:48 this is what i meant when i say Hannibal is borderline fantasy😂 Can one man, one who about to go into nursing home, put that thing up in ONE NIGHT???
Yeeeeah, that man needs to go back in the workforce building houses or something 😂
I love your reactions. The story gets so much crazier, more twisted, and darkly beautiful as the seasons continue. Seriously dark and twisted… 😂❤
I heard the seasons after aren’t as good. In your opinion how true is that
That is pure blasphemy!! 😂 The story constantly develops beyond what it is. And what it is not is a police show. It becomes apparent that this is all about Will and Hannibal“s relationship.❤❤❤
@@wfwf910if you're looking for episodic crime mystery shows like csi or criminal minds, hannibal is not of that genre and it's more apparent in season 2 and 3.
Thanks for hanging out! Glad to hear the chaos continues in the later seasons 😂
“who do you root for in this show!” idk I just root for everyone (minus a character we meet in sn2)
Starting season 2 this week! Maybe we'll see who you're talking about 👀
Ep9 is Trou Normand, a small glass of Calvados, local apple brandy, or Calvados-soaked apple sorbet served between courses. It's served for the purpose of stimulating one’s appetite and allowing for a seamless continuation of the meal.
10:30 killed me 🤣
Worst part is it would probably be delicious 😭
15:14 THANK YOU That's the part a lot of peeps in the fandom way back when tend to dismiss and decided to just hate the girl while still making UWU edits of Hannibal.
It really was them or her. Sure, she shouldn't have done it or whatever but if you are put in that situation... man...
15:33, you're gonna regret your words, lol
Now we know why 😭
also (me trying not to comment a million times per video and failing every time) abigal was helping her father to save herself because she knew what he would do to her if she didn’t makes her another victim of her fathers in a way
Comment as many times as you want! We don't always get back right away, but we see and read them all 😂 plus it definitely helps with the algorithm as a bonus
9:20 like, Jack, man, the only thing you got right was that Abigial killed Nicholas, but the rest of your assumptions are so far off.
17:50 yeah people often blame Jack for guilt tripping Will into staying, but Will IS a grown man.
And thinking about his conversation with Hannibal back in ep2 (? I think), that he said shooting Hobbs felt good. This is probably part of why he didn't quit when Jack gave him the chance to, not just the guilt.
I still feel bad for Will tho, cus he really didn't have a support system at all, no family and no friends. Things could've gone so much better for EVERYONE (except Hanni😆) if Jack and Alana had a bit more compassion for Will, but then again they're just colleagues🤷
Good point about Will not having a real support system around. That's why he gets some empathy(plus the fact he saves lives). I can't fully blame him for not leaving. At least not at first
