I am going to stop buying new books in favor of buying tried and true older back issues.
This is and will always be the way. If I find a story line I like in a new series I will get myself a reader copy and that's it, absolutely insane to pay the prices of these modern printed books.

Oh man, I read most of that that book the other day; couldn’t get through it. It’s pretty bad; but I’ve now listed it on ebay for $35… 🤷♂️
I thought it was good but it’s definitely not intended to be a one shot although they sell it as such 😂 you can tell they want Doom to be a limited series.
damn. i was staring at that doom book at the lcs on saturday. There were like 10 copies but i passed on it cause of the cover price lol. I guess Not all was lost though. Went to the antique shop on sunday and unearthed a nice mid grade copy of Metal Men #1 (1963) for $5

Still at cover price.

Doom was a pretty good read.
MF DOOM is my favorite rapper, so that’s why I got a copy of Doom. I had no idea how difficult it could be to buy a comic book.

If you got your books for cover, flip. If not, save money. It’ll come back down in 3 months and will be in $2 bins. It’s a one shot. No “key”.
New comic investors trying DESPERATELY to "big up" their speculation books..... * yawn * .......so what else is new?!? Been going on for YEARS & YEARS, but no one seems to learn ANYTHING along the way. Y'all go ahead and battle it out, as CGC gets richer and y'all get poorer. I hope you have a good time doing it. FOMO that will be forgotten in a few weeks... unlike Ultimate Spider-Man, there is little talk about the content of this book.
3 good comics, let alone 2 good comics is not really that great.
I don't know about X-Men back issues though, so maybe there's a lot of those being bought at comic book stores?
Anyways, Doom is just a single issue.
The current Deadpool Wolverine WW3 3 issue miniseries is... just okay. Issue 1 seems to have polarizing reviews. I thought it was okay at best, but I'll probably wait for the trade unless for whatever reason, I know there's a chance for me to have Adam Kubert sign my copies. The story is "confusing" and/or shabbily written. The art is fine, but I don't think it's Adam Kubert's best work. The art was better than the writing, though.
That Spiderman/Spiderboy book with Ramos’s cover is all i can think of off the top of my head books that were hot last year.

There was no key 1st appearance in the book. Just FOMO. No real long-term outlook.

I put Doctor Doom on my FOC list, the A cover and the Granov variant. If ordered through FOC my shop gives a 10% discount, so got them both for less than cover. (-0.70) Happy about that, ordered them because I Iove the character and have really liked Hickman's Ultimate Universe work. Never expected the book to get hot. Not interested in selling. Did read the story and enjoyed it but confess to being a little confused by the ending. Will read it again. BTW, the book was oversized, so $6.99 is not unheard of.
Wait a few months and you can get it for $10,cover A.

I skipped this book on Wednesday. So glad I went back Friday to grab my copy :)

I was really looking forward to this comic. Sadly, it was very disappointing.
Got last issue at LCS on Friday late afternoon. Impulse buy. Crazy prices. Glad I grabbed it.
I saw the price spike on the 17th and waited till today to see how many copies of cover A were left and he had 8. So I asked my LCS if there were up for grabs and he said yes so I grabbed 5 out of the 8 copies and I did the same for Strange Academy Blood Hunt 1 the Doaly cover since he still had 3 on the shelves. I talked to the other 2 LCS owners and they still have multiple copies of those books for cover. I'll wait till Friday and see if they sell out.

Bought a limited digital copy of Doom from VeVe. Loved it. Thinking about getting another one as there are still some left in the store.

mf doom reference if you dont know who that is, he has a very big cult like following. he died recently and this is the first doom issue released after his death. (if no one caught it by his performance name, his persona is heavly inspired by Dr. Doom)
