I just love the cover of this download. Our Cliff boy looks a bona fide teenager. He always possessed little-boy looks. Now in his 80's, the years have been kind to him, despite a few forehead furrows. His style of singing/working was so well tailored to relevant needs that he had little worry about being upstaged. Many singers have come and gone, but Cliff remains evergreen like his perennial hit song 'Evergreen Tree. His films : Expresso Bongo, Summer Holiday, The Young Ones and Wonderful life continue to give movie fans endless joy, despite the passage of time.
So true, many singers have come & gone but he remained evergreen, things worked well for him, tailor made cause he remained true to his faith even while in the darkest moments of his life, his fortitude is relentless, he's so strong, strong in character & strong in his faith.
I used to have audiotapes of Cliff Richard's songs. I saw several of his films. I have always loved his easy kindly songs. I return to the songs of my youth, now I am 52 and I still love Elvis, and Cliff Richard too. I believe there is something special about the greatest artists of the 50s, and 60s. Buddy Holly, Beatles, Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee, Carpenters, Paul Anka and the rest. I forever love them nothing changes with the passing of years. I wonder, how that is, because my youth and teenage fell on the 90s, and I love those hits as well, because I kept listening to them as a teenager and everybody loves the songs of his/her teenage. But somehow I was always a lot more attached to the songs of the past.
