Thank you for being part of My Violet and bringing the spirit of this era of Lazy Oaf to the plus size community. Can't thank you enough. All of the pieces I've gotten just make me think of the Lazy Oaf I could never wear and it's amazing.
I somehow never saw this upload!! I found your IG through Lolita fashion so I wasn’t familiar with lazy oaf, to be honest. But your style, designs, and aesthetic brings me so much joy!! On a more serious note, I’ve been struggling a lot with chronic pain, and haven’t had the spoons or energy to wear a lot of my wardrobe, especially lolita and general kawaii items. But your videos and Instagram help let me interact with and see ALL the cute things!! Thank you!! 💖
Just brush out the hat with a metal wire brush. Maybe look for something like a “pet slicker brush” (mine was marketed for mixing wool while needlefelting, but I think it’s the same thing). It won’t be exactly like new, but awfully close. I use this method on old plush clothes from the thrift store all the time.😊
the way that i didn't have the money to buy these pieces as they were coming out ! i've had alerts set for lazy oaf pieces that go on sale on second-hand apps for yearsssss
Oh how I miss the days of this era of Lazy Oaf. They started to fall off quality wise and were becoming bullies on social media around 2018. Prior to that they were caught stealing art a couple times. Fun fact, they deleted comments OFTEN people asking curious questions about like sizing and rereleases, and the last collection I purchased from, one of my pieces came with all loose buttons I had to re-enforce myself and some stains. I don't know that it should be left to the customer to fix factory errors for a brand-new piece that was over 100 dollars. I wasn't offered a replacement piece; they gave me like a partial refund that was hardly anything. I think it was around 10 bucks LOL. They have me blocked since 2019 for me standing up for someone they snarkily replied to and said I bullied them. The cost per piece was going up and it was so obviously they were going down on the quality of the materials. Hurts my heart to think about. And it always blew my mind that the creator was at that point a plus size woman but not gunning for more inclusive sizing until the buyer base started raising hell asking for it. It's so funny, I was in a couple FB LO groups and people were saying that LO was never a pastel brand and I'm like oh buddy they totally were. Alas, you joining the MV team around the time you did was PERFECT because you are single handedly filling the hole in my heart that Lazy Oaf left.
yeah def dont ever sell the rainbow sally sack dress!! i sold mine a couple years back and regretted it a couple months later and bought it again when i finally saw it on depop 😭
I never got into Lazy Oaf (probably coz I found the prices a birlt prohibitive in Aus) which is probably lucky coz I LOVED everything you showed! I'd absolutely going to make it my life mission to find that blue bear dress!
