- Here is the orignal intro for Gran Turismo 4. Restored with the orignal music, which i kind of wished would of stayed with the North American version, i find it suits the video better.

CXP It might just be that I heard it first (though I've only really properly watched the intro when I started playing again recently), but I'm glad the UK version has the song it does.

nowadays i think GT4 in PS2 is a better thing than you wasting your days online on racing game... because this game offer you the best experience to make yourself feel better in life... specially with the tryhard that want All gold License from B to S (also rally too) and complete the 100% game with some favorite cars (mine is R92CP, R8 Le Mans, Escudo, GT-ONE and a lot of other cars too)

Wow! This is so much better than whatever that other song is. And you're right, it does fit the video a lot better. I especially love the bit at 2:47 where it goes through a load of cars during the drum beat... amazing intro!

The fact that all 3 intro has the orchestra which is literally the orchestral rendition of the Japanese theme should tell you which is clearly the best of the 3.

Why is there people saying "this is when gt started to fuck up" like, how dare you? This was pure racing, the first four where incredible, making the fourth one of the best racing games ever created. Yes, polyphony fucked up with GT 5 and 6 but come on. How dare you to call this bad.

This Intro is just epic and the best one of the different GT4 intros.
It is absolutely amazing how well this game has held up after 6 years. It's on an old console but it is still a beast.
Here's how I rank the GT4 intros by region:
1. JPN (Moon Over the Castle)
2. US (Panama)
3. PAL (some boring music)
The kasabian song they used in the European intro was fine but the original moon over the castle was far better
You obviously grew up with the NA version and you're blinded with nostalgia cause that Van Halen song felt so out of place... they didn't even try to sync the editing with the music.

gt may not be the most accurate racing sim but it’s the only one with an actual honest to god anime opening and i genuinely think that’s worth so much
Better than the US one in my opinion. Thank god Gran Turismo 7 introduced EVERYONE to the true Gran Turismo theme.

To clarify for those that haven't figured it out. In the North American version, it has the opera and then Panama.
For this Japanese version, it has the same opera and then a different song.

Honestly, yeah, this game is my childhood, i really don't care about the flaws in it, it holds a good place in my heart, i can never judge it because i just love it too much.
Imagine if someone someday give you the chance to race in Le mans and this song sounded in the background meanwhile. How not to cry?...

I would have much preferred this in the Western version. Most badass version of Moon over the Castle by far.

This should have been the main intro for ALL versions of GT4. At the same time, keeping "Panama" in the U.S.and Kasabian Reason is Treasonadd in Europe and PAL territories.

Fits the game perfectly. We always listened to it ones before battle, for concentration and out of respect for the game! ;) I don't know what's so special about this version though, it looks exactly like my (european) version...

I'm sorry, and maybe this is because its the one im used to, but US one just kicks too much ass, now every time i hear this song in my car I get pumped, I actually drove to Panama today at the autocross (until I decided it would be better to listen to my tires, and it definitely improved my time)
what u r looking at is the same, difference is after that Ford GT starts racing after the opera, the music starts to differ in both versions...
I think the NA one is good but the ending is just so bad.
It just cuts out everything but the vocals, then… silence.

This song is in the credits though, and you can put it in your racing list if you want. It would've been a better opening though, I agree.
Kasabian Reason is Treason is the best music for this intro. (The choral bit is the same the world over it's when the pit sign turns that the different versions kick in)
Sigh. I loved you so GT4. Alas, your time in this world was brief and you are sorely missed. ( my disc burned up, so I traded in my ps2 on a ps3)
