    I have one. It's incredible and I won't be without it. I've cooked, heated my coffee water, heated my 29' 1988 fireball fifth wheel. Chafing fuel is relatively inexpensive and this thing puts out HEAT. Don't cook on the grill with raw meat- cook it in a pan. I recommend them, no chimney needed.

    I have this. I am in New York. And I use it to warm up the little pantry/storage room right off of my kitchen that does not have heating. This room gets super cold in the winter time and this heater makes that room bearable. When I first found out about it, I was a little skeptical, but I use chafing dishes, and the heat that comes off of them is pretty hot. So with the fan blowing that heat, it makes sense so I purchased it and as of now, I have no complaints. One thing I will say is stock up on the fuel, because you don’t know, like I’m in New York, when you get a snowstorm and will not be able to get the fuel due to shipping issues.

      Siobon2 Very good advice to stock up on the heating canisters. I bought extra ones when I purchased my Vesta. This week I found the Safe Heat fuel canisters at Sam’s Club at a much less expensive price. I got 6 flats of 12 cans each just to have on hand for emergencies. Safe heat is safe to use indoors and is shelf stable for years. Therefore there is no waste, if I don’t use all the canisters this winter I will use them in the winters to come.

    Nice video... I've been using my Vesta for about a year now..the best thing is that it's multifunctional in use. Quick tip...use a multi tool or needle nose pliers and carefully extend the wick out another quarter inch... you'll easily get another 10-15 degrees of heat..at the expense of about 30 minutes less run time.

    The Vesta is awesome. I like sleeping in my sunroom year round (Ohio). I have this on a bar height metal table pointed toward my bed about 3-4 feet away. The room has electric heat which is dry and static - y. This heater makes sleeping way more comfortable. If something happened to my Vesta I would purchase another one. I love it. I have a container with scented oil behind it, and it makes the room smell like maple syrup on waffles. I used mine all last winter, and I have been enjoying it again now that winter weather is here again. I purchased those Gas One cans just for the opener. It's a necessity for my weak hands. It works great on the sterno cans from Sam's.

    I bought one for myself and my sister. I later bought the Instafire Ember Oven made by the same inventor. It uses the safe heat and is an oven. • @lyndarina9839
      @lyndarina9839 Год назад +2

      That’s an amazing coincidence. I also just purchased 6 cases of the six-hour Safe Heat from my local Sam’s Club. There are 12 cans of Safe Heat in each case. I’m thinking that if I use 2 cans at a time in my Vesta heater and run it 24/7 during an emergency, that the 72 cans would provide continuous heat for approximately 9 days. Like you cocacolafiesta, I would really like to have more Safe Heat. Apparently Safe Heat is shelf stable for years if the caps are securely screwed on. So even if I don’t use all my Safe Heat this year it will be there waiting for me next year.

    I like the Vesta but I love the Ember. You should try it out. It's marketed as an oven but I've cooked eggs on the top in a light weight skillet and boiled water over the vent while baking biscuits in the oven. I used an Esbit folding stove to hold the pot up off the vent for air flow. The cheaper cans of fuel smoke so I am using cat food cans to snuff the cans out and contain the smoke until they cool down.

    Alcohol's main by-products from combustion is CO² and H²O. That's what makes it safe indoors. High levels of CO² can be dangerous but generally those situations are rare. I'd use it in car. Crack a front window and rotate the sun visor to cover the window gap. Cold air will drop to the floor and create a circulation circuit as warm air at the roof escapes through the window.

      Good question. I suspect that as the candles melt they would cause a big wax mess in the fuel tray. However, if you lined the fuel tray with foil then candles might be a viable fuel option. I’m going to look for smokeless candles and try your suggestion. Thanks.

    One year later review. I bought two of the Vesta heaters, one for me, and one for friends. Today, a year later, I was trying to heat my room and the 3 fuel heaters just were not doing the job. so I took two, (not three) of my little alcohol heaters and put them in the Vesta. Worked great for about five minutes. The the fan stopped, the paint started coming off the back end of the unit and the metal slats on the bottom of the upper unit all warped. Oops! Apparently, you cannot use the little alcohol mini burners. Better stick to the chafing dish heaters. I don't know if I will get another one or not.

    • @Iridium242
      @Iridium242  Год назад +1

      When I shot the video yesterday it was on for about an hour, then today ran it for 2 hours during my videos for the weekend, the cannisters still feel pretty full so it will probably be a pretty good long time, I am guessing 6 or so hours total

    • @lyndarina9839
      @lyndarina9839 Год назад +2

      On the chaffing fuel canisters it will be printed either 2 hours or 6 hours. I have not seen any canisters that burn longer than 6 hours. Whether you burn 1 canister or 3 canisters of the six hour fuel at the same time the Vesta will be out of fuel after six hours. I use 2 canisters (to save money) in my Vesta. I have to replace both canisters every 6 hours so that equals 8 fuel canisters every 24 hours.
