When you've never ordered at a place before so you just have what your friend's having.
Smh why is this so damn true wtf
Uhhhhh I'll have what she's having

Damn, I want a Micro Center.
Yeah, me too :(
Agreed! Since TigerDirect left Raleigh, NC I've been without a big box specialized computer parts store to stop in for parts! >_
Timothy Neu
I can't believe how much cheaper that R9 380 card is at Microcenter, $149 in store. You can't touch those cards, even used for that price on line.
40 bucks for a mobo and CPU. Damn, I need one of those micro center's over here.
I want a fucking computer store on saudi arabia jubail
Step 1: Wait til black friday.
cyber monday maybe?
Lazy Jeff lmao
Step 1. Buy previous gen used hardware
Done.
Next step??
Thats what im going to do xD
The fan on that heat sink is so cute!
I would rather have this build then an xbone/ps4
+Sandra C 👍
I have A8-7650K with hyper 212 evo on an Miniitx board and even with case off it idle at 50?? know why?
***** too much thermal paste / no thermal paste or if you checked the thermal paste after apply you have to do the whole process again cause it make bubbles and thermal paste can't transfer heat. I think I'm not sure
+David Philpott maybe you made a mistake just like me. I put the c shaped brackets wrong. It caused unbalance and when i fixed it i got 20 degrees less.
I had this old computer before and I if you type too fast, the browser laggs and it freezes for 10 seconds literally.
Daniel Zhang would freeze with me always
My laptop takes 5 minutes opening google. And I play war thunder on it. A second generation I phone would have better graphics
kornycbz Laptops are known for this, i hate laptops but i use on myself
Jeremy Blaauw laptops have integrated insides which is why you should most likely switch to a desktop which cost around maybe even less than 200$ ? Feel free to check around for home desktops because they really do run games properly :)
Kyut Psycho I know, but i'll be a console peasant for now, I need my money for college and stuff. 😂
Crazy seeing how far budget PC's have come since 2016
IGP is strong now
You really do not need to include the price of a OS anyway, You can get it for free at the microsoft website, and product keys are a dime a dozen depending on where you buy them, I got mine for $13.00.
I got mine for free because of the Windows 10 free update
Yeah, they gave me some money for buying Windows
i got mine completely free
they said you need to include the price of games and stuff but when you have windows 10 you can get a free copy of minecraft
Cyka Blyat nice username :)
I started laughing when you pulled out the 380X(!) on a sub 400 build
paid off
it's unlike Nvidia can do any better
+LiteGaming Nvidia is for those who wanna max out games at 1440p 60fps like me. The 1070 is the first graphics card that i own and its a fucking beast
+Tiny rick false fact
+Tiny rick Your opinion is so uneducated. If the 1070 is your first card. You have nothing to compare it to. So yeah. Hush little boy.
The 5350 really surprises me!!!
Also, beard really suits you...
CS GO suffers from it tho.
yeah CS GO really suffered from that beard.
DKL If there were more stiches in that beard, CS GO would be happier. Deal with it.

I made a budget $300 pc using a fx 6300 and 750ti, and my games run equally as well. Maybe not everything runs on ultra 1080+, but i can put pretty much every game i have on high and i'm getting 60fps
the fx 6300/8320 are much better than the one in the video. And yes, the 680ti and the 750ti are still relevant to this day.
was running a 8320 oc to 4.2ghz air and a gtx1060 g1 gaming and runs 4k high settings with a few lowered tweaks around 60fps before upgrading to a i7 6960x 4x1080 sli build
Should´ve bought 1050 ±P
tfarcenim literally no circumstances should you ever buy a 1050..like ever
why ? it has a great price/performance rate and is basicly the new 750.
what I do not get is how people complain about 60Fps when I at maximum get 20Fps, I have a Hp Pavilion, I just need to upgrade it, Does anyone know how? or what works best? Thanks!
Nimr Al-Nimri the hp pavilions generally are like laptops in a desktop body meaning the motherboard has no room for expansion besides ram.
oh, ok guys, thanks alot both of you, this makes much more sense, thank you! 😅
first off you need to upgrade your gpu, and for that gpu its a safe bet that you'll need to upgrade your power supply too. its not super hard to do but the problem is that your mobo might not even have a pci-e 3.0x16 expansion slot and if it does another problem might be that the case would be too thin to fit the GPU or the PSU wouldn't be compatible with the case size since OEM PCs sometimes use non-standard size ratios. do you have discord? if not just go to www.discordapp.com create an account and send me a friend request. my username is " @MP [✓]#4494 " (without the quotes). i can help walk you through the steps of this process and answer all the questions you might have.
If you get 20 FPS max, the quality is choppy as hell.
Add a graphics card, you can check but it should have a PCI slot.
1050 will work in about anything power usage and space wise. Check your PSU wattage, but it should be fine
Outperforming a Xbox and PS4 but you can't tell console players that (Some of them).
But from a wise words from a wise man
“Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed.” - Friedrich Nietzsche
its still 150 dollars more than a brand new ps4/xbone
+Kevin Dragontail xbox and ps4 is $200 new?
+hunter lee no that was my bad, its about 260ish for the xbox
Tru, but games seems to be always cheaper, and you can literally do anything on a pc.
+hunter lee actually yeah
Hey Jay, with all the PC's you got lying around, why not build an Adobe Media Encoder render farm :) Start pumping out more videos!
I would love to watch a video on that!
I don't think his hardware is limiting him. It's probably that he's just a single guy and not an entire team
I know that. His videos are in 1080p also which isn't much of a stress. But was mentioning that due to more "content" for him on his channel. Plus knowing how much of a geek he is, it would be fun.
With Skunkworks, any video is never too much for it
Oh no, please no "Hurr durr, let's show how I built that 32.000$ render server I totally need to make RUclips videos and split it into 16 freaking parts uploaded over the course of 8 months"
*cough* Looking at you, Linus! *cough*
I really like Jay's videos, but I don't want him to be another LTT with daily uploads but completely unoriginal content . Keep it up Jay and always remember: Quality > Quantity!
Jayz use TSSAA on DOOM to enable async compute. Using SMAA disables async compute.
+conyo985 really? I did not know that! Thanks for the tip!
Async compute in DOOM also works with AA off.
John Kreitlow goo.gl/MQ15qE
Initially I couldn't say whether you were being sarcastic. xD
conyo985
Enjoying looking back at these older videos! Especially since I had that exact case up until a year ago with my old i7 4790k build! Now on the Ryzen 7 5800X, 64GB GSkill DDR4, 1TB SSD, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3, TUF Gaming X570 Plus Wifi...all for MSFS 2020!
i made my pc for $375 WITH Monitor because amazon had sale :)
Nooooob, my monitor costs more than that
kailash Nelson You're not very smart, are you kiddo?
kailash Nelson fuck off , i bet you have a 20 dollar crt monitor .
Is there any way you can add a 1080 to the budget?
A 1080 is the entire budget + more. 😂😮😮
Sure, if you add $650 to the budget!
would bottleneck
So true
its wouldn't bottleneck

I got an i5-3470, 8gb memory and a R9 380 4gb (nitro) system for around £340 which works out at around $400, runs BF1 beta at very high settings and Overwatch at ultra. Great system, especially for the price I paid.
That's more like a lower midrange build than a budget entry build. But good deal on the parts.
+Shivam Kumar I didn't say it wasn't, I merely said that I like it.
That's awesome , this will run you realistically somewhere between 430$ and 460$ for am1 motherboard -_- . And no os...
very nice
got same cpu
4:14 NO IT'S SOOOO LOUD! I can hear the humming so clearly!!
Oh wait that's just my laptop that im hearing through my headphones...
With just an exta $50 and gotten yourself a much cheaper case, you could have squeezed in an A10 7850k or even an i3 4170 and you would have effectively eliminated the bottleneck, but yeah $400 gaming PC is doable, and thats brand spanking new, had you went and gotten second hand parts you'd be running circles around a PS4 haha.
with your i3, some games require 4cores cant play, thats the reason why he chose AMD instead of Intel. But rightnow, i confuse about r9 380x, that have the same price rightnow with rx470, throw in few more bucks and you can get 8GB 480 or 6GB 1060.
ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/BgRkJV
i3 4170 is 2 cores 4 threads, so it will let you play 4 cores games, and amd is good but kind of old now and is being outperformed by intel, but lets see how zen lineup will do.
No dude, you are totally wrong, some game require 4 real cores, not thread dude
I believe it's because the manufactoring process for the RX series has been alot more refined, they made total cost of having/running the RX the focal point after all, that is cost of buying, price to preformance, power consumption (as in the amount of power compared to the rest of the components), so the RX series cost between the cards seem to be aimed for people that are very concious of what they spend hence an extra €£$ for a 30% better preformance card maybe nothing but when you don't have an extra €£$10 to spare on your machine (which is the aim of this rig), every little drop you can squeeze out of preformance to save every last penny and indeed to try to not even use your whole budget is a massive deal. That and there is always a delay before the markets correct themselves as they still have old stock from the old manufactoring price cost to get rid of before they can sell at the better price with the improved manufactoring costs, the r9 380 has dropped in price finally now but it's still got a few weeks/months before it'll be even close to the current 270x price range.
I came up with an fm2+ build that's better than the xbox one and ps4 for 488$
Builds like these are not hard to come by for that price these days. Expansion may be a bit tricky if the motherboard isn't new or more advanced. Good job with the build!
+Tech With Brandon that's why this build uses a cheap mobo and CPU for $39. You can keep everything else and then just get a new mobo and CPU down the line
I know it's cheating (and can be risky) but I always buy parts used whenever I can! Picked up 16gb of DDR3 via Craigslist to upgrade my rig for $30 yesterday! A few weeks ago I put one together for my brother from MicroCenter for $500 with an i5-6500, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD, miniITX and then found him a GTX 780 reference for $120 on Craigslist. The deals are out there!!
for the price it was really good
In order for the computer to work you need the hardware and software. Thats why I believe you need the OS factored into the value. However the games are not needed for the computer to work and will be different for everybody. They dont need to be factored in at all.
Give me 5 minutes to call a friend and I'll have a windows disk stat. You can reinstall the enterprise version for ever ya know? Or DotA and team fortresses you can play on Linux. Some other titles you could play through wine too. World of warcraft works great.
Yeah but not all operating systems cost money
A computer will fully function with even the barest of OSes, so that's technically incorrect.
Linux is also a fully usable, free, open-source OS (well, kernel. Most Operating Systems built on it are FOSS, though, and many times more highly regarded than Windows.)
Microsoftsoftwareswap over at Reddit sells Windows keys for like 25 bucks. Still under $400 if you use that unofficial service for getting keys.
Using the same logic you can put a free OS in any pc. Just like you can play many free games. Why assume you have to pay for an OS in the first place? Hardware is not free. Software can be free.

I build a PC with similar specs, Newegg DIY combo : 860k, 128GB Adata SSD, FM2 mobo, 8gb ddr3, Case and PSU 450Watt for 270$. Then I slapped a 280x. from ebay: 380$ plays everything just about. Only issue is that its a mATX case and that 860k and 280X are in close proximity to each other and the thing is a barn burner like Gerry would say.
Yo man, if you can put in an SSD, go for it. An SSD increases the overall performance of a computer dramatically since none of the components have to wait for HDD read times.
great build actually but the 280x was way too expensive could've gone for a 380x and save some money and heat !
john handcock 70% of computer components are overrated.
Mobile phones can do almost anything a computer can....
That 860k needs all the help it can get! The ssd makes up for the shitty 860k performance, plus it was part of the combo
Feres Genesis
this was in janurary its what was available at the time

The build I am looking at is 374 and looks to be really decent, AMD's new APUs really help for entry level builds
Hmm do all Microcenters insides and parking lots look the same or does he live in the same state and county as me q.q
oc
zon411 ?
orange county
Shawn Dickey oh than nvm i guess the parking lot just looked similar to mines and same with the insides of the microcenter
+zon411 Jay is in the Orange County MicroCenter? I literally live like a mile away from OC MicroCenter.
I think it might have been better to opt for an i3 6100 (3.7ghz hyper-threaded dual core) for $110, and then a $50 motherboard, and $30 bundle savings at microcenter. You'd be more hard pressed to bottleneck then with the Skylake architecture at 3.7ghz w/ 2 real and 2 virtual cores.
Of course you'd be adding more cost, but you could skimp in other places or just plunge, the increase would be WELL worth it. EDIT: You'd also be able to upgrade to a skylake i5 or i7 in the future (but the mobo wouldn't support OC)
or to save even more money, go with a Pentium G4400. Sure, it's .4Ghz less than the 6100, but it is also $60 cheaper and since it is also part of the Skylake architecture, upgradeability will be there , as well.
at this price u can get also FX6300 - and it will be performing (in avg.) better.
yeah he just put a 250 gpu with like what 30 cpu? he misunderstood the concept of not needing as much cpu power as gpu power in gaming, the ratio should be like 1:2 or 2:3 not 1:9 i mean if gpu is 100 cpu 50, if cpu 150 gpu 300 etc, or something like that. if he took 150-180 on gpu and 140-170 for cpu,mb he would get a lot better gaming setup.
though if fps he has now is fine for you and you dont play most cpu requiring games it actually makes a lot of sense since replacing 40 buck of parts to upgrade hurts you less after 1 year of use when games get sligly better you go and change cpu and MB and you have a great desktop.(the 250 gpu should last a long time)
Got a build for me?
Nadeem Khatak t
Let me make a joke. Give that pc away.
I would sell it and buy a 1070
I bet this would be an upgrade for someone :D
+Jack “maxell” Bauer me
I would cry if i got that PC. That just goes to show how sh*t my PC is
+Jack “maxell” Bauer Me I have a 10 year old PC
Jay would love to see one of these builds 6 years later and if you have this same computer maybe do a versus where it’s 2016 budget build with 2023 budget build maybe $500 due to current inflations and see todays budget build technology vs 2016 budget build technology and the vast improvements it’s come along. A 6-7 year of technology is night and day difference and the final test the winner of the budget build vs a personal build that you threw actual money on. Obviously it will be skewed but same titles compare and contrast how does it hold up in todays age of pc gaming.
For CSGO players, just use an FPS Config and max_fps 120 and you'll be good!
You should not want to resort to maxing out fps,the more fps the better :) (on csgo)
And for CSGO you don't have to have a great GPU only a good CPU
+JACQUELINE Millan
Not necessarily, so long as you max it above the refresh rate of your monitor, I usually go 20fps above my refresh rate, it doesn't matter, anything above the refresh rate of the monitor technically doesn't exist as far as you would be aware without a counter up top, now if you got a 144hz monitor, then maybe let the fps be free. Unless your fps jumps a lot, low stable fps (30-40 5 fps deviations) is better than getting high, unstable fps (40-60 jumps of 20), so in that case it's best to set it to about 5 above your lower end of stable fps. At least that's what I do and benefits me since I don't have to readjust every time there's a lag spike and my fps halves at the wrong moment.
ethan linquist just watch 3kliksphiliphs video xD
waxxy ็ I run more than 120 fps on csgo I run 280
The GTX 750 is actually an extremely exceptional card, especially for a tight budget. Even though its becoming more and more obsolete with each coming day, as shown in this video, the card still remains powerful enough to stand even the latest triple A games at 60+ fps (even with the bottleneck motherboard).
stfu bitch no1 cares about the gtx 750
***** for their money* lmao
Finish grade 5 and people will take you seriously.
Brennan T Why dont you close your mouth when you take a picture then maybe people wouldnt think ur a window licker LMAO
How bout a r9 480?
I've never had 60 fps I always have below 20
its a whole different experience ;)
same
CTI y'all are in for a treat! Smooth experience. I can link you a better build than this if you want
***** yes please, but keep it under 400 lol
CTI pcpartpicker.com/list/yqLtWX slightly over but if you can't do the extra $16 just change the processor to a G4400
I remember my 2016 rig, 1st gpu. Coming from early pc integrated days/console, it's nice to see what can be made back then on a budget.
I wish my pc was as powerful as this one(25fps on cs go on the lowest settings possible)
Ангел Дун at least you have a pc 😟😟
is that a joke?
Ангел Дун that's a lie try 800 600 minimmum settings
only takes a low end 2014 pc to fit the form hes explaining
That's depressing. I'm getting 70+ fps on cs go with integrated graphics (Intel graphics 630) medium setting
I need help
I added the prices and also added a 7% sales tax and came up with 596.78 dollars as the total.
This was off amazon. The prices that you displayed were much less expensive than those of amazon.
I don't know where you bought the parts, so i need assistance with this.
I have a name microcenter
+Jerald finch (I made your name up) I think he used amazon prime
He bought those parts in MicroCenter on sale
I feel like shit. The rig I built 8 mths ago, I used an fx 8320e to pair with an r9 380x. I thought you'd need at least an fx 6300 or else you're bottlenecking.
Eric Yuan it is bottlenecking. Bad.
Eric Yuan Not a bad system but Intel 1150 or newer would have been better for sure. The Science Studio cocky guy grabbed a 8320 and Mobo for 100 at a Microcenter. Good deal.
lol cocky guy hahaha
Don't feel bad, you made a comparatively good choice. The 5350 bottlenecks HARD in heavily-single-threaded games, the 8320e will do a lot better and last a lot longer.
technically anything vishera 8core @ 4.6ghz still would make 80th percentile in passmark so theres that
they really aren't bad chips when you look at it - it just isnt the FASTEST thing on the market but most certainly not obsolete YET #IAMZEN
@5:45 Not to mention the fact that you can use Windows 10 free of charge legally, they just disable certain customization/personalization options.
Wish there were shops like this in the uk, have to order all my parts online. :)
there may be depends where you live
there is a pc place 10 mins away from me but their prices are fucked
And a lot of prices get converted $->£ equal :/
+remotaholic US prices at shown before tax online so by the time has is accounted the $ price online usually is = to the £ price online
Local store near me with normal prices and they got the GTX 10XX series cards in.
How about an Intel based system around $600?
Thats like an average build...
+Luke Thompson that's the point my dude.
+Ro MaYo Jr you can get i3-6100/i5-6400, 8GB of ram, H110 motherboard, GTX 950, 1TB HDD or 240GB SSD(maybe) cheap case and a 500W psu
+Marko Tech you think a 960 is reasonable for this budget?
+Marko Tech Why not go with an FX-8350?
Im sure you have your reasons, but wouldnt something like a lower end fx processor or x4 processor perform much better and still stay within the 400 dollar price range. Or did you pick a lower end cpu for most graphics power?
+ChannelAsh100 I actually went to get the 860 Athlon but they were out of stock
Would you have rather had that or something like a pentium g4400?
JayTwoCents I really like the build you should do more of this type of videos and you could help someone build a gaming pc if case they don't have a lot of money.
G3258 is unlocked and costs 60$ and can be overclocked on many 35-40$ motherboards to 4.4 GH, I did on my MSI H88
The stock cooler comes with a copper core, it looks like the high end i7 stock coolers, you can OC to 4.2 GH on the stock cooler with the G3258
Great video. This was a good example of how even at $400 system can do the job. Doom impresses me so much for such a new title. I hope Vulkan will be an API that will be used in other titles. It's impressed me more than DX12.
Lmao buying windows is like paying for Winrar 😎. there's activations codes everywhere on the internet
lol ikr.
Seriously, who the hell pays for WINRAR? I've had the trial downloaded on my computer for ~4 months.

$39 for a 1tb hard drive? What the fuck?
They're pretty cheap nowadays
Prices in USA at New egg and Amazon is fucking SUPER cheap for parts made in CHINA , expect double to tripple for the same thing in AU + NZ + JP + Philippines + India .. In Australia 1TB WD Blue or 1TB Toshiba has been AUD$65 for a while. Prime examples are the cost of i5 and i7s and new video cards in USA to everywhere else , a USD$199 part in USA is AUD$400 in Australia , its a joke when everything comes from china these days
Yeah, I usually get them for $50 which is cheap enough. Never seen them for $35. And definitely not name-brand ones.
Just goes to show how bullshit cheap Microcentre is in USA
Good luck buying 1TB Toshiba/WD blue at china pc stores for 35 bucks
Now, only if people started playing Doom more. It seems to have a smaller PC community than BLOPS3..
To each their own.
BLOPS3 = BO3 ? forgive my ignorance.
it doesnt belong to pc as a multiplayer game. afaik, the team that did halo multiplayer worked on doom multiplayer and its clearly designed for veeeeery casual audience. singleplayer is very good tho. and I think most people played it for singleplayer anyways.
da hell is a BLOPS3... lol
BLack OPS 3 bruhh

gReEn A5SaS5iN new try Amazon or Newegg, but don't buy this build, try a different build for this money this build is bad
I'm planning to go Newegg for pretty much everything except the motherboard. I've read some horror stories about their RMA's (even as bad as re-selling RMA'd boards)
Fuzz FM amazon is good too
***** This is true, as long as the prices are reasonable.
gReEn A5SaS5iN if you're still in need, check out "nerd on a budget" on RUclips. Great for low-medium priced PCs
If they build a Microcenter in norcal I would be a happy man

you decide what windows to install
K
Haran Galbraith but yes both of my pc's are windows 10
Derp
I don't understand why people get mad that Windows is not included, because if so, do you then include the price for Office, Adobe CC, VMWare, and every game you will ever purchase? everyone who's owned another computer has an OEM key. just Google how to rip the key out then there you go! especially now since you can use Windows 10 with a Windows7, 8, or 8.1 key.
Never skimp on a cpu you end up figuring out that a crap cpu affects your performance a lot. On every thing in general not just gaming
trevor jaster yeah it's pretty bad ish
trevor jaster you can run a cheapo server with the Am1 combo.
Derp
This build cost less than my EVGA ftw 1070. My potato pc with the potato GPU (AMD R9 270) couldn't run Doom lol.
AMD R9 270 is x100 better than my GPU.... AMD 6450 HD .......
ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1070 OC here.
Zircalloy gtx 1060 mini here
CaveManta Dreemurr Lowest settings, maybe
4ksandknives 270 isn't a potato lol...an hd6670 is potato
Can you make an counter strike GO Computer that runs on 350-400 fps with everything on low? I use 4/3 resolution stretched.
Must support 144Hz screen.
easily
no because that athon would bottleneck way before 144 fps. If you can afford 144hz screen and than you can afford a decent i5 and 1151 motherboard.
J-to-the-R csgo has 300 fps cap no?
aaa 300 fps cap but can be increased in console to a higher number.
what does that mean? the athlon would bottleneck? can you explain?
dude your videos just get me so pumped up to build... butt sadly I only get to build like once a year. I envy you bro !
im triggered by you trowing it in the air....
good job jay :D
honestlyi would've choose a better cpu and choose something like a 750ti or equivalent
rx 460 would be a better choice
Well I dont now a whole lot about amd although I am trying to ^^ but by mentioning the 750 I was referring to its price range
yeah i got an FX-6300 and 750ti superclocked and i get 40 fps on max gta5
What are the settings of gta v to get such low fps?
I'm getting around 45 fps in gta v with an FX-6350 and a GTX 970. CPU maxes out often.
When you see an r9 for 150$ in 2017
Luka Ž now its 1million fucking shit
Thanks used this video and adapted so now i have a gtx 1050 ti and an intel i5 9400f
I just want a cheap computer that can run the Sims 4 really smoothly. Any suggestions?
hahahahaha
DJ AMAN Anything funny?
your mom
still beats your dad
DJ AMAN yeah sure
*_Nowadays you can only buy a midrange videocard with 400 Dollars_*
( ¬.¬)
"NO EXCUSES console peasants." Should've been the title.
i would gladly take this PC. this laptop has run games around 20-30 fps and i really am not bothered too much; might make this build one day
one day
I’m new to pc gaming so what games can you play on this pc
This video is quit old, I would not recommend using the same parts as he did
EVERYTHING!!!!
Logan Time nope not everything
Fortnite?
ItaliKz you can play Tetris
guys, is this worth it for cod zombies?
Windows 10 Gaming Computer PC - Intel Core i5 @ 3.20GHz Max - 2GB nVidia GT730 Graphics - 8GB DDR3 Ram - 1TB HDD - WiFi
for £350?
what i5?
Fepe The Prog yh
BloodClot Games lmao, what i5? and that gpu sucks
Nope. The graphics card is not good. A 750ti or 1030 would work better
Pick up a 1050ti for $120-$130 or a 570 for $200. Trust me it's worth it.
If your i5 is at least 4th gen (i5 4***) then it should be fine.
It would be so much better with an athlon x4 845 for less than $50 more.
Nevermind, the mobo was free.
+Henrath yeah this build allows you to reuse your GPU rather than getting a better CPU and Mobo now and having to buy a new GPU later
+JayzTwoCents ah so this is a gpu centered build, I can dig it.
+JayzTwoCents which one do you think will do better either this motherboard processor combo or a intel q9550 with a G41 chipset motherboard keeping the rest as it is.
+JayzTwoCents lol I also made a 350$ pc
Nice. Good parts list. That rx-380 is a really great deal. You really can build a good PC for cheap. fleaBay is also a great source if you know what to look for. Cheap combo: used i3-3240 and used Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF motherboard. Heck I'm still using my old 8800GT on that setup and it plays games at 1080. You can get those for $10. I play DayZ mod Arma2 and get about 40fps. You don't need a lot of money if you don't mind looking for the cheap parts that work and putting it together. It's a good way to get practice building a PC before you throw down lots of money later on, if you ever need to. My next upgrade is probably a gtx1060 and I will have no need to upgrade for a couple years.
You Couldn't get a computer for this price in Canada
try that here in Argentina......
How bad really is it? I live in the uk (the pound is worth more than a dollar) but for some reason for PC parts of its $400 for them, it's £400 for us, but it's not too bad. I don't know why it's like that because for games it's $60 for them but like £40 for us. Idk
here that pc would cost me like 800$ if you buy the parts in stores because no one knows anything about pc's here so they over price old hardware (500gb hdd for 100$)
but your train system is on point
Yep
dump a gtx 480 and u have a bread-grill
+DieterGebieter: Reviews, War Thunder und mehr you're probably going for global warming with this much 480's
Quad R9 290X Reference for Central Heating
a Pentium 4 would help
Don't forget the military grade sound and heat based weapon called the FX 5800 Ultra,
you mean an athlon XP3200 :P
why is my PC cheaper and performs WAY! better?
(also I build it last year!)
specs
amd a8 7650k (no overclocked)
gtx 750ti (not OC)
8 GB ddr3 1600 ram
500 GB hard drive
420-watt PSU
I'm guessing this is a major CPU bottleneck!
prolly bought it on a sale rite
Because your CPU isn't bottle-necking as much
It's because you don't have a motherboard in your build. Maybe that's why it is so cheap...?
I do have a motherboard?
I spent under 740 dollars on gaming laptop. I had to play cs go on low-medium settings. You spent under 400 and playing it at max.. Why cruel world! Love the vid. Have my like sir and subscription.
dammit i keep on watching videos of pc project like a headless chicken and i cant seem to find a good quality video giving me some what of a base build too start off from budget is 400-700 dollars :/ HELP if anyone can thnx
amd ahtlon x4 880k (go for i5 if u can afford it), amd rx 460
pcpartpicker.com/list/WVb7RG - Under $700 with rebates for 1080p and assuming you're not Overclocking.
***** so this would be good for gaming and what not ?
Yeah it will pretty much run all of today's games at 1080p high/ultra settings at 60fps.
***** i had visited NEwegg recommended by a friend but i wasnt sure on what to start off with and i am not sure how thw soft ware works with a new built computer
I want a gaming Pc for either my birthday or for Christmas. I play on Xbox right now and I kind of want to start playing on Pc.
SAME
Same I just don’t know what Pc I should go for. I don’t want to buy one that cost so much and it doesn’t work well or if it’s just so cheap and doesn’t work good at all. It’s really hard trying to choose.
SAME
Ben Dover I'm buying pre built can't risk building it myself I might break something or it running like shit.
did u get it :) ?
I think I've beat you here- pcpartpicker.com/list/
Better GPU, GPU, PSU, no labor day sales, all new parts, it is however, a few weeks later thin this video and I wont be buying it to benchmark like you because I'm 15 and have no job or extra cash, but the i3-6100 and GTX 950 are very well proven parts.
Now if only people did not have to go through 4000 comments to see this
You got him beat for almost 4x the price. What is your point?
LMAO, that's the wrong build, it changed itself when I made a different one, now its just a case, sorry. That link made it so that you see whatever I'm currently working on.
Ne0Wolf7 That explains why I saw an empty list, lol
Ne0Wolf7 People are so funny when they try to compete. You do realize he did It for fun right? And the AM1 combo was a steal. All the other parts can be used on a better system.
I think it's a good start specially not that Ryzen is out hopefully people will see the benfits of gaming on a pc at a reasonable price range
I used to think that each piece would be expensive as the entire computer
Is there a tutorial on how to build this. Since I'm not a computer expert. I actually plan on getting the same exact items you got. But I just don't know how to build it.
there are tons of how to build a pc step by step video in utube, and how to boot it up, even Jayz has one
Today, I would go with ryzen 3 and a 1050 Ti which would be much better and can fit in a budget. It would last much longer too.
would it run gta
Azze217 ye would it run?
Azze217 GTA existed before GTA 5
I hate all of you you know what i mean, would it run gta 5
Yes but I am a triggered fanboy
the answer should be YES
but would it be playable? Kappa
I did a similar thing with my pc , i bought a A8-6600K ,4 gig base system for a little more than 400 dollars pre built ! Also without an OS but with a dvd player/writer and a 500 wat power suply . This month i'm going to upgrade my pc with an A10 7850 or up and a 1050 or 560/70 AMD card . ( now i have a gt740 running ) and i can play a lot of games on this system .as it is now but i want a little more performance in games like dawn of war 2 etc
(This build idea has been dropped completely)
Liquid-Cooled Intel Core i7-6700K 4.00GHz Quad-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 Video Card
Expansion capable to 2-Way SLI/3-Way CrossFire Multi-Graphics
16GB DDR4-2133 Memory
240GB Solid State Drive
2TB SATA3 7200RPM Hard Drive Storage with 64MB Cache
Ram is good but make sure your motherboard is compatible, and make sure if it has heat spreaders that it has clearance (AKA if it is bigger than other ram styles. i.e. GeIL EVO POTENZA Ram sticks) for your other parts such as the gpu and cpu fan on the motherboard to fit. If you don't plan on using crossfire or SLI, it won't matter. the 240 gigs of SSD is a bit much if you only plan to use it for the OS, which is what I plan on doing, so go lower for that if you can so your computer can boot up much faster.
The 2TB HDD is very good. Lotsa memory. The CPU liquid cooling is something I'd only suggest if you want to overclock your gpu, turning it into a toaster with high tempuratures in need of cooling when you push it for the best graphics you can get from your card. The video card you have is definitely good but if you're going to spend that much money you might as well change that card or go for a slightly cheaper or slightly more expensive one as you'll find that an extra hundred dollars is a lot for a little more power compared to some other cards. The cpu itself is definitely future proof with hyperthreading and more than enough speed, but know that hyperthreading is just a clever tool for faster speeds ONLY if applications/games are programmed to use this feature. Otherwise going with an i5-6600 (K variant is for overclocking and voids your warranty) is better for price for the mere cost of hyperthreading for more or less the exact same cpu power overall.
Remember to make sure everything you have is compatible and manageable in your tower case. You don't want to have to buy a cpu just to realize it doesn't work with your motherboard or that you can't put the power supply in your case without getting in the way.
no, buy 1050 or 1060
tfarcenim No he should buy a 1070 absolutely not an 1050
i dont need that much perofrmance.. so i'd be wasting money
tfarcenim ok
watching this in 2018! Goodluck finding parts this cheap.
Previous gen hardware is the way to go if you want dollar per fps. It's still easily doable.
why not get a rx 470?
+Hammad Ul Haque because it's obviously more expensive
+JayzTwoCents oh yea, sorry, misplaced the 460 with 470
I had to look this up....At Hungary there is $2 difference btw the 2 cards
+Hammad Ul Haque 380x is better than the 460
+DerisiveLaughter ya ya, what I meant it is that I combined the rx 460's price with the rx 470 performance, creating a rx 265
Really liked the video +JayzTwoCents pretty cool and funny at the same time. Would like to know about thermals on that build, I know is not that important but I'm curious LOL! Try another build with a not bigger budget!
Really enjoy your videos.
I don't really like this guy. He's one of those people who won't even give console a chance. And one of those people that if the PC doesn't get 100+ frames he won't give it a chance either. I am a PC gamer but I love consoles and I can game perfectly at 40 or lower. He's closed minded.
You need to chill he's joking
Somebody got triggered. Plus imo consoles are for kids, PC more for adults
PCMR FTW!
***** Not going lie you are right. PC may put a nice hole in your wallet at that point and time and you have to worry about what specs you have, but it worth it every sec of the way. I have a Gaming PC from 2008 that can still overpower PS4 and XBone (Scorpio can beat the crap out of it though). You can also mod the games. Usually all games look and play better on PC. I used my Gaming PC and plug it up to the TV and called it my personal console.
dakota valley Cant even handle fps games with a controller, Its so easy to aim with a mouse.
If you're trying to build on a budget, eBay is your friend.
the cpu is bottlnking / u couldv easily grabbed a i5 2400 for less and have mch better prfm
+XPLOSION Gaming haha.... An i5 and a motherboard for less than $40.... Mmmmmkay
it was a trap m8
Or you can just buy an x4 860k for 70 bucks
Or an AMD 845 Excavator for 65.00
***** hi there my friend
for 100 dollars more you could play star citizen. I did it with like 30 fps. here are my specs.
-msi 970 motherboard
-2x 400gb IBM SSDs
-1x 1tb hdd
-gtx 660
-750w PSU
-amd fx 6100 (was 8320 but pins bent and i dont have the money to buy one now)
-rosewill black case
a used $400 laptop can outperform this desktop... Just saying
+Aznwarlord7 no. It can't. Just sayin
***** hosting a server on dust2 my alienware 15 can average well over 200 fps in csgo at 2048x1152 with all settings at lowest and multicore rendering on.
specs:
i7-4710hq
gtx 970m
16gb ddr3 ram
irrelevant specs:
4k touchscreen monitor
rgb lighting :D
256gb m.2 boot ssd
1tb 5400 (swapped out to a 512gb 850 pro)
I bought this used for 400
to be fair my laptop also outperforms MY $400 (used) desktop with a gigabyte gtx 950 (base model oc'd to a surprising amount), i5-4460, 12 gb ram and it came with a 1tb 7200rpm 64mb cache hdd swapped to a 512 samsung ssd.
forgot to mention it has a potato 280w psu. dont even know how the psu has enough power for the everything (one of the reasons i disconnected the hdd), id have to buy a new psu if i wanted to upgrade this rig to an evga 980 ftw i saw for $250 :(
Aznwarlord7 that specs cost at least $700 lol
ng jingchern for my laptop or desktop?
I tried building a PC once... I ended up smashing the thing to pieces and then putting my fist through a wall
Lasus Naturae idc
How? Did you not hear the clicks?
Sounds like you should save that money and invest in a psychologist.
Get your shit together you fukn baby.
potato please no I run Minecraft at 10fps xD
If you are looking for a boost in FPS in Minecraft, I hugely recommend the mod 'optifine' , it comes with more settings to alter, and when put to all low, you could see an increase of up to 30 extra FPS
NattGamingNation why the fuck do you play Minecraft
Eoghan Cleary because I think its fun while we do not share the same opinion please respect mine
NattGamingNation such big words for a little kid
Eoghan Cleary clearly since you trash talk you are 9 but I don't judge childish people
u did justice to the title and my time. really liked this one
i have a 750ti with an i5 and i get 120-170 fps
on csgo
because u have de i5
+antonio stefan gabriel the 750 ti isn't a bad card
Octopus Rift read it again
Octopus Rift xd
jay can speak Starbucks? I'm jelly
Normally it's the other way around, but that's how much my gpu cost
My Gpu cost more than this entire rig :/
+colin rice same
+joeforit who said I was sad about it
+joeforit DEMONITIZED
Hey Jey :) Greetings from Germany, i rly like ur videos. Keep going!
