Here's the complete rules aside from the very different starting position because I feel like it:
    1. Red goes first, then blue, then yellow, then green
    2. Pawns move one square at a time (the double-step was invented in Europe)
    3. No castling and no en passant :(
    4. Sailboat is rook but you can't castle with it
    5. Pawns must promote to sailboats if the time comes
    6. The point system
    a. Double check = 1 point
    b. Triple check = 5 points
    c. Capture a pawn = 1 point
    d. Capture a knight or king = 3 points
    e. Capture a bishop or sailboat = 5 points
    7. If a player resigns, their king can still be captured for 3 points, but their other stuff gives 0
    8. The player with the most points wins, even if that player isn't the last one standing

The "claim a win" aspect of this is kinda lame tbh. You should have to play until there arent any points available to take or everyone is out. Resignation should be an automatic loss regardless of points.

The point is to discourage people from just letting the other players trade their pieces, which would lead to an unbalanced endgame. But I agree that the rule is far from perfect

Chess might have been "invented" in India but it was perfected in Europe.
