For all those that tie this fly, it gets wet and looks like a floppy p.o.s. that is the correct look. Lol I love this fly! It’s minimal material looks amazing underwater and horrible when out. Those are usually the best steelhead flies 👍
I wire over the hackle and dubbed body. There is no need to dub the body in a loop. None. You want to protect the stem of your hackle and stop the thread being popped and the back end falling apart.
