Lovely video as always coach. To explain the stealing - Hanamiya and Seto observes the court and potential pass courses, Seto runs into one of the few possible ones, leaving Izuki with a single option. Which in turn lets Hanamiya easily steal the ball. With them getting upset from the rough play, this becomes even easier for Hanamiya.
yeah, and part of it is that izuki is so good that he will always make the perfect pass, but in turn hanamiya is so good that he can figure out what that perfect pass is
I'll explain how Hanamiya use Seto for 100% accurate steals. Izuki has Eagle Eye where he can almost see the whole court, that way, he can see who is free before passing the ball. That's where Seto comes in, Seto will create an opening for Izuki to make a pass then Hanamiya will go for the steal since he knew where Izuki going to pass......
I think it was the previous episode where you noticed Kuroko having more emotion than usual. I knew this episode was next and I love how they showed Kurokos anger in the locker room and how shocked Kagami was to see Kuroko display that much emotion. Edit: I like the idea of watch parties, only concern is possible spoilers but since it's members only I trust in the community to do the right thing.
You’re right! Kuroko did show anger in the locker room first which got me hyped! Thanks for your feedback on the watch parties. I agree that if I do it with only members, they will be more respectful and not spoil it for me. I remember doing public premiers with some of the Haikyu episodes, and inevitably, people start spoiling the story in the comments. Hope to see you at the watch parties when it happens!
27:38 here's the title! "Shinrai da" "信頼だ" I feel like it's so much more meaningful because it came from Aomine, one of the people who played with Kuroko the most before high school 🥲 it shows how much Aomine trusted and STILL trusts Kuroko!
i loved this episode a lot cause it shows kurokos rage and its so clear but cause kuroko hardly shows emotion its kinda surprising. also the trumpet music playing behind the scene when kuroko is breaking the web is just perfect
Small Explanation. Seto has an IQ of 160 but you may have missed where he said "I'm nothing compared to him (Hanamiya)". So basically, Seto is a genius, but Hanamiya is even smarter. Seto is able to reduce the number of possible passes due to his smart play, and with that reduced number, Hanamiya is able to steal any remaining possible passes. They are both smart but the web requires them to work together. I like Kuroko No Basket, but compared to Haikyuu, they are definitely different styled. As you are starting to see, this anime tends to fall more towards traditional animes in that the power scaling is a bit fantastical and not super grounded in reality. You just kind of have to accept that some teams "powers" are a bit of a stretch from what you might see in real life. This will continue to increase more and more as the show goes on (anime always has to up the stakes/powers to keep people engaged). But if you're able to see it just as an epic sports anime with good action and cool abilities, it is really enjoyable in my opinion.

its not just because kuroko stamina problems, but he cant play all the time mostly because of how his misdirection work best as a suprise, if youre playing against him long enough your eyes can get used to his trick and it will be not strong anymore, thats why Kuroko have to be put on bench every match as to make opponent forget the feeling of his play untill he return to play again.
"I dont have older brother" meanwhile Akashi:uhh that's our authors fault. For context Akashi and Kuroko was supposed to be brothers but author actually changed that idea
I think the mouth movements here 9:40 aren't entirely wrong? could be just moving the gum inside the mouth with his tongue and stuff instead of chewing or depending on how you blow a bubble he could be moving his mouth to prepare to blow a bubble?
When kuroko is angry... Shut up... All the generation of miracles including kagami knows it and they never question his emotions. You'll see it soon in the movie as his(kuroko) antithesis shut up when he told him he(kuroko) will play in his place.
Sometimes you rush your commentary and should focus a bit more on the show so you understand the plot better because a LOT of the questions you have literally get answered moments you ask but you're too busy asking you miss out on the answer Coach.

23:09 Small thing, but Izuki was actually the one who slammed the bench. Since he had the ball stolen from him so many times.

So far everything has been pretty real minus the vanishing drive. I’m curious what the more fantastical moves will be like

Basically Kuroko is stealing from his own teammates in order to counter the web.
21:36 cuz of his IQ too.

Gets annoying now.
I hate this arc so much.
