Why would you be adding a fountain to the front of your house when you're getting rid of the grass to try and save water? Makes no sense conservation wise...

how did you feel comfortable buying a house, well 2 houses with your boyfriend before marriage/engagement? Granted ur incomes are wayyyyyy different than normal people but regardless of ur incomes, say you both had regualr jobs or whatever, did you ever struggle with the “we should do this when we get engaged/married” or were you ok with it even knowing you could potentially both break up? Love the authentic looking Mexican tile but that black and white pattern doesn’t really hit the mark. I love old houses and dislike modernizing them and loosing their style. Your ideas are good, improvements without destroying the authentic style. The French drains were a must and since the patio was already torn up it was perfect time to redo it.
