My theory: We can tell through mollies voice lines that the mascots were mistreated by park staff when she says ‘get in the cage bird’. Maybe Salem was fed up with mistreatment and made a potion to turn mascots evil and fight back?
If you listen to all of Molly's chase and death screen lines, you can just tell how truly mistreated the mascots were, and my theory is that one day, they just snapped. "Get back in your cage bird" "Get up you stupid bird" "But I wanna play with the birdie!" "Don't go near that thing son"
Old Sport is just a nickname. It's a reference to Dayshift At Freddy's, a game that the creator of the game has played all of. I respect looking deep into it though, well done matpat

My theory is that under the park there is a whole ass laboratory dedicated to creating the characters out of real-life animals (Mollie is a f-cked up bird with claws on its wings, lloyd is a straight up lion, finley is some mutated eel, etc) and Isaac Indigo is secretly still alive and in cryogenic stasis under the park. (this is based on the whole disney's frozen conspiracy, where walt disney is somehow under disneyland frozen in place)

I would find it hard to believe that they would go to the trouble of creating living versions of all their mascots, EXCEPT for their park's primary mascot, Rambley. If anything they'd do him first, right?
Also, Mollie is drooling by the way. Hinting at a rabid, type of personality. So your guess at the potion COULD be right! I've also seen Lloyd being hinted to being hurt by Rambley.. so possibly there could be two different Rambleys
My guess is that AI Rambley and mascot Rambley were the same but was separated when the potion was delivered. AI Rambley keeps corrupting because it is trying to find a device(Real Rambley) that is not connected.

Well, if the creators are familiar with actual animals (not saying they are, or aren't,) birds can't get rabies. Likely, she was drooling because... she's hungry. She probably has eaten all the food that was available in the park; when you enter the restaurant in her section, I noticed there was no food left. Yet, at the restaurant on the main street, there was rotten food in the case.
My biggest reason why I don’t think Rambley is evil is motive. Like what motive could be really have? Taking over a theme park wouldn’t really do anything evil, and like maybe he wants to unleash the creatures or make more of them but that seems doubtful since he kills one. Also if they can be killed by a door then surely they wouldn’t be much of a threat to a military force, so letting them loose on the world wouldn’t do much. I think more likely it was either Salem’s doing, or the creatures were being controlled/contained somehow (maybe with the cuffs?) and at some point it stopped being effective on most of them. Basically some scientist flew to close to the sun on this one as is often the case in fiction
On the train ride there are two destroyed areas. One is the Skunks area. The second is unconfirmed. It shows signs that it is a tropical-beach theme. Since each character gets one part each, my guess is there is a hidden character to match. A pirate? Someone that would bring shells to our serpentine friend? Starfish? Somthing.
Technically the only one to not have an area on the ride itself is Rambley himself, but he IS the one directing the train, and I don't envision a raccoon's home to a beach setting.
I just watched the, "Meet the Cast of Indigo Park", on UniqueGeese's Channel. One of the voice actor's name is "OtterBoy." 3:00 on the Channel. It is a bit of a stretch, but an otter would work well with connecting Finley and the others. Supplies the shells for Finley, shares a similar color scheme as the others (Purple and Yellow), has a likable vibe, and otters are cute. Marketable. I am not saying, "Otterboy is in the game", but a spinoff... a careful maybe.
Salem was really interesting throughout Chapter 1 being the only character who didn't get a introduction on Rambley's Railway and not hearing what their voice sounds like. It felt like Salem is hinted at to have a bigger role in Indigo Park for future chapters especially if we get more info on them in Chapter 2 when it releases. But I can't wait to unravel the mystery of what caused Indigo Park's closure.
It would be a huge part of the story if Salem was the reason the Mascots when haywire As you can see them use a “potion” on Mollie likely could represent a hack software or something, they are seen as the main antagonist of Rambley’s cartoons (maybe foreshadowing something bigger)
With mask, it's funny story because it's audio is about game called DSAF. Jackson is Jack, a main character. Dave usually said "old sport" while talking about Jack, or talking to him. Going to Vegas ment an ending of the game DSAF.
Also from a few voice lines from Molly, some of the lines say “get back in your cage”along with “get up you stupid bird” “the customer is always right” and two that seem like a son and a mother arguing one saying “I want to play with the Birdie” and the other saying “don’t touch that thing son” so I feel like they just had enough and that’s it they finally went out and got the revenge. Nothing with potions or anything.
Well I believe that the park didn’t close right after salems attacks, because the critter cuff makes a noise that scares of the mascots so the park was still open for some time and these new critter cuffs were distributed to employees and guests alike probably so that the park doesn’t ruin its reputation with deaths by the mascots
Here's a thought I just had: If Salem IS behind the mascots going feral somehow, and so she herself is still intelligent, then what would she be doing still at the park after all these years? I would think that by 8 years later, if any of the mascots hadn't gone feral and were still sapient, that they would have left the park by now, if for no other reason than that there can't be much food left in the park that hasn't gone bad by this point. For that matter, why would the feral mascots not have already left the park? There is nothing visibly confining Mollie or Lloyd to the locations they are seen in, is there?
I got this theory that indigo park had technology that materializes digital AI Spritz as living biological creatures . That would explain why Molly bleeds. Evidence that sports my how the ramble berry appears out the ramblely rush when you beat it. Also when you show Rambley the ramble berry he says quote “whoa where did you get that. Ramble berries are my favorite. If only I could jump out of the screen and take a big bite. Don,t eat it maybe I will be able to one day
This idea of Salem's evil potion instantly reminded me of Mallhare infecting the Animatronics in FNAF Security Breach. What if Salem once was a mascot who's basic AI system malfunctioned or something and realized he could be more powerful and became a literal computer virus possessing the robotic mascot, and spreading itself into Mollie, Llyod and Finley? Mollie was consumed entirely, we don't know about Finley, but Lloyd probably tried to fight against it. And yeah we must add the fact that Salem could achieve this because the mascots were treated badly,and the fact that once they began experimenting with life-sized mascots made of living matter.
Something just came to mind while sitting and playing a different game.. Remember when the broken-down animatronic of Mollie said "not Rambly he hurts Lloyd!" what if it was a disgruntled employee in the old raccoon costume that was hurting Mollie and the others and it caused some kind of attack. Both Lloyd and Mollie have dried blood on them.. maybe they went nuts and attacked employees so bad that the police had to cover it up and the park shut down after.
4:09 the mascots were probably friendly but were in the park to rot when it closed crazing them for a killer life instead of a cuddly and cute mascot life because the second one was their choice but for a while no one came at all forcing them to a life of homicide
The park has been closed for more then 8 years. I say this because when Rambley is talking about the "Ranger Trade Mark" thing, he says that it "expired yesterday". A trademark expires after 10 years if not payed, so that means the park has been closed for 10 years [maybe more]. But say it was closed for 10 years, then someone would have gone to the park for 2 years, then stopped, and 8 years later our character showed up at the park.
Small theory: what if Rambley and Skunk girl were working together but then separated. Skunk girl had the ability to change the personality of the mascots, so Rambley used her to make Lloyd go wild. That would explain the loud frequency triggering from the users watch when Lloyd got close. They were scared of Lloyd because he got out of control so they designed the watches that way so that people wouldn’t get harmed. I think the reason why Skunk girl separated was because she had a different goal in mind. She wanted the mascots to revolt and terrorize people, while Rambley just wanted to put down Lloyd. I think that would explain why the watch didn’t work on Macaw (when Lloyd got close to the user the frequency from the watch triggered, but when Macaw got close, nothing happened). This could be because the watch wasn’t designed to neutralize Macaw in the first place. Macaw and the other mascots revolting wasn’t something they predicted.
I think salem might show up some point in any future chapters. But i dont think she,ll try to kill us. I think shes going to try and help us like rambely so that things can go back to normal. I dont think salem is gonna be mad headed like the others.
I've said this once in another video, and I'll gladly say it again: I think it would be cool if Salem were to be an Anti-Hero character where they wants the MC to trust her, but doesn't know how to actually work for it since she's so used to being an antagonist character and only knows how to be "evil", so they kind of just act cold and closed off and just quietly stalks the Player from a distance, occasionally leaving subtle hints of what they should be doing and generally tries to ensure that the Player doesn't do anything stupid when Rambley isn't watching. Though every so often, the Player will catch a glimpse of Salem as she retreats into the shadows when they turn around and also hear them mumbling to herself or see Salem peeking at them from the corner of their eye (think of it like a "Blink and you'll miss it" moment). But when the Player is up against a threat, Salem prefers to hide and watch from afar as she doesn't see the point in helping with that since, like I said; they're so used to being an antagonist that she doesn't really know how to be friendly in terms of personality.
Good theory overall. I do believe that perhaps the employees treated the mascots awful(probably due to them taking their jobs even though they didn’t deserve that treatment) and maybe perhaps Salem caused them to go crazy to kill them as revenge. Only problem with your theory is the “Oldsport” thing is just a reference to “Dayshift at Freddy’s” fangame. Regardless it does still hold merit of that recording implying they used to have real mascot costumes for the characters that the employees did before experimenting on who know what to create the living versions(I am curious whether the living mascots are either mutated animals, humans, or just a homunculus made out of both). Small note: Just for reference, Salem has been referred to with “She” pronouns and “They” pronouns. Unsure fully if she uses both, but that’s from the official bio for them and some of the devs said when referring to her.
Edit: you pretty much went over everything I thought of and typed in this comment lmao, (glad to see someone else bring up the theory that the mascots are mistreated animals) but ima leave it here for anyone who wants more info I guess. One thing I’ll note, I feel like the game is pointing out that the mascots are more like mistreated animals. There’s a bit of info about it, like how Lloyd acts sort of like an actual lion in fear of being punished by ringmasters, he runs in fear when he sees we have a critter cuff (I think? Or maybe he’s running cause he thinks we’re staff) Another thing is Mollie’s voice lines (which unfortunately you can BARELY hear) but as stated, she mimicked the voice of others and there’s a voice saying she should “get up, get in your cage you stupid bird” (referencing that secret mollie cage room in the arcade!) along with people being afraid of them too, “don’t touch that, son” is another line, the mascots could’ve been treated bad by visitors too. Finally, when Rambly talks to you in the staff room after beheading mollie he glitches out saying “scary” in a worried tone that makes me feel like maybe he watched the mascots get hurt, or was terribly afraid of the employees, or maybe got hurt himself, who knows. Also like you said, Salem being a troublemaker and making the other mascots, “evil” with potions could be correct! Like you said maybe they were tired of being hurt by staff and made the other mascots evil to wreak havoc! I gotta say I love the idea UniqueGeese and the other devs are cooking up if this is the way their going, “mistreating others ending up with no one winning in the long run”
Hmm. I hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts on what happened in the park. Early on in the game, during the section where the Rambley Railroad broke down, there was the clearly animatronic version of Mollie suggesting there was some stage between the new models reference in the voice recording and the outbreak of living mascots. During this scene Mollie also said "Not Rambley. He hurt(s) Lloyd." My theory is that in full this should've been "That's not Rambley. He hurt Lloyd." Also in the credits, Rambley says "all his *old* friends" which I think probably is another sign that there are more than one version of these mascots out there. These living mascots also...appear to be boneless...at least there was no bone visible in Mollie's head, just meat and blood. So the management (I can't imagine an animatronic having the resources for this) tried to create less mechanical versions of the animatronics to save money in the long run, either through genetic modification of real animals (not sure what animal they'd use for Finley though) or by trying to bring them out of the AI programming in maybe the game and into some sort of meat that then got stuffed into the original mascot costumes. At least that is my theory.
4:21 it could mean something but it's also an obvious reference to Day Shift At Freddy's. A fnaf fan game where Dave would often called the player Old Sport. He phrases it weird because a robotic voice was where Dave's voice came from.
I think the stuff also plays a part , remember on Molly's lines she says also this "get up you stupid freak" . I think all this abuse, hate and anger made the mascots to become like this but we still need informations
Old Sport is a reference to FNAF Fan game Dayshift t Freddy's. Dave/William VA was used and in the game call jack Old sport all the time. Thats also why they talk about going to Vegas as that happens in all the Dave endings.
Even though I absolutely love Rambley, I doubt he is completely innocent. If you listen to Mollie's random dialogue during the chase, she does say that Rambley did hurt Lloyd... How so, we don't know, but considering how much Rambley despise that big lion, it's not impossible that at some point, something happened between the two?
I dont think Rambley is out of the question....If you pay close attention; Molly's old Animatronic said, "Rambley...He hurt Lloyd, He Hurt Lloyd..." So, something happened between Rambley and Lloyd for hik to lash out at him...
Or maybe Rambley hurted Lloyd becuase he was the famous one while Rambley only entertains the guests of how they feel about to park and maybe Rambley wanted all attention himself?
I think Rambley got jealous of Floyd, tried to deactivate the “safties” to his mascot, and wound up making all of them feral. He was so ridden with guilt about the damage he did to the park that he confined himself to the entrance and deleted his own memories of the ordeal.
Maybe, it could just be they forgot to add them in or just too much bl00d, if it was intentional that does raise some interesting concerns and theories
Me personally- I think the animatronics you find broken down and trapped in rubble while repairing Rambley's Railroad were the new mascots, and these weird biological mascots were created by something else, not intended to be in the park at all.
The Old Sport and running to Vegas comments are an easter egg to another game that the creator of Indigo park likes. It's one of the fan games of FNAF, but I cant remember which one. William Afton in that game refers to the player as Old Sport
Maybe Jackson went on a shooting spree at the park or somehow made the animatronics act up and go mauling park guests. I mean, Jackson manipulating the animatronics to go on a mass mauling would be more threatening than him shooting up the park himself and a mass shooting would likely get reported on unlike a Mass Mauling. How would you even report the animatronics or whatever they are acting up? The park likely wanted to keep what the mascots really were secret from the public and a mauling would them be a spotlight, outing their secret lab experiments.
The Old Sport bit was just a reference to the FNAF Fan Game Day shift at freddy's purple guy in that game refers to your character as old sport and you go to vegas together in some endings.
I feel like Salem wasn't the only reason, but that Rambly was the deciding factor. Salem likely is just another character, similarly to what it _seems_ Molly, Finnley, and Lloyd are. Rambly being the only a.i. character- and on with effective Master Control over the park- means she could probably be smart enough to hack or corrupt him in some way makes the most sense to me. If not, Salem might've been able to convince the other mascots to rampage and go feral EDIT: The recording is a reference to Dayshift At Freddy's. It likely isn't hinting at their role in anything, but pointing to their plight as employees. That would easily lead to just general mistreatment of the mascots, prompting eventual retaliation
this is actually similar to what i theorised see what i think happened is indigo park got new mascots to replace the old employees who simply wore mascot suits and all of them were treated nice by the staff and guests except for salem because she was the villain of the show this caused her to one day snap and create whatever she used to turn the colourful cast of characters wild and when she did this the staff managed to contain them in cages for only a short while because salem messed with the systems not only releasing them but also trapping rambley at the front of the park
I think what they can do to make the Mascots different from the toys in Poppy playtime to to have them been grown as is in a lab instead of using human test subjects
Salem seems so adjacent to someone like bowser from mario or plankton from spongebob (evil but still invited to play golf and go go-karting and stuff) so it doesn’t seem right to pin the blame fully on them, or to say they would cause such a huge disaster on purpose (maybe they’d have a bit where they’d corrupt one mascot and it would be a whole event of Rambley and the crew trying to reverse the corruption) but maybe a disgruntled employee tampered with the potions and made its effect so much harder to reverse and such? idk. i’m just throwing ideas out here
I agree with this theory! We still don't know exactly what happened to this amusement park, but it's definitely true what happened to this amusement park, and maybe one of the reasons is that it has to do with Salem as we think, maybe the experiments have been done and succeeded so that the mascots can come to reality. And up until this point, the mascots would not have been aggressive, but as you can tell from Mollie's chase, the mascots would not have been treated as well. I think if Salem existed somewhere in reality like the other mascots, he would have been treated like that before, and eventually he would have turned the other mascots aggressively. And this would have ended up rambley being valued at the entrance for eight years, and the park would have been closed. But the question is, as much as rambley, we know that he still exists as ai and there are ways and opportunities to come to reality, but unlike the other mascots, he hasn't come to reality yet. If they've been experimenting with making mascot characters a reality, I don't think there's a reason why they shouldn't make Rambley a reality as a popular mascot, if not the first mascot. Maybe it was planned, but Salem's interference, or maybe the plan was canceled for some reason, or maybe it could exist somewhere. Or maybe, as the mascots said above, the idea of becoming aggressive prevented Rambley from coming to reality.

I think the reason Rambley often glitches is because the park was closed for about 8 years. He hasn’t interacted with a guest in a while and so it’s reasonable that he glitches because he hasn’t been working with a guest and he hasn’t been able to update his system.
If the staff really were fed up with the park, and salem used potions to corrupt the mascots, then there is a possibility that the staff could have worked with salem to shut the park down and escape with the staff. Which is why we dont see her in her room.
The mascots came to life could be result of human-experiment or possibly genetic-modification due to how animalistic the mascots look. But that’s just a theory but what we do know is that they made the living version of the mascots so that they don’t have to hire employees to wear the costume, it’s basically a smaller-scale version of Playtime Co’s Bigger Bodies Initiative
I rather think that selem tried to start a revolution against the humans so they could live in peace, I don’t think she would use real life potions. If you don’t know already giving potions to an animal is a very bad idea
So, about the Mollie animatronic, I have a theory. As we hear, she says: "Not Rambley. He hurts Lloyd, He hurts Lloyd." Now at first, I believe she WAS talking about Rambley. But I think she wasn't talking about Rambley, but SOMEONE ELSE. For instance, what if someone was planning to do something to Rambley, and Mollie was trying to persuade them NOT to do something to him. Kind of like in movies, where's a person close to another begs for a potential threat to not hurt said other character. As for the Lloyd part, when she says "He hurts Lloyd", what if she meant a different "He", not Rambley?
What if in retaliation to the human mascots being replaced, the employees started abusing them? Rambley said the employees started leaving before guests, so the employees who did stay abused the realistic mascots
When the Molly animatronic talked and said the following not rambley attacked loyyed in media not being referred to a character usually means pretender meaning the quy that wore the rambley suit attack loyyed not rambley and in rambles rush we meet saylem who turn Molly into a monster so we can say that either Salem's behind this or the person whereing the salem costume is behind all this we won't know till indigo park chapter 2 comes out or till the end of the game
Here's something to worry about: Regardless of how these living 'mascots' were produced, there is, so far, no visible reason there couldn't be more 'copies' of them in existence. The player may very well have only killed ONE Molly, and there are still more roaming the park...
I feel like the real mastermind is Mr. Indigo, he must have done some unethical practice, either through inventions or by biological means. Rambley's mindset feel like a naive child, killing Molly didn't affect him; Gets upset when Lloyd is involve, most likely out of jealousy for losing his fans to him. His soft ware hasn't been updated since closing, or some hacked him. Either Indigo of someone else. I don't know Rambley is in league with the Mastermind, but it certain is in it, in a way.
I don’t think Rambly initially had access to most of the functions he shows in game, considering the first time he brings up may system related things he seems like an AI realizing a function is not working, then downloading that function to his database which is a problem AI developers still aren’t fully capable of getting around, especially AI with internet access, so he probably found most of these functions in the rotting mainframe and is incorporating them as the player needs them, such as door diagnostics at the main gate, or access to cameras and the staff area
I have a feeling that Salem is actually A I Ramsley and they plans on using the player to get the Park up and running again so they can rebuild themselves a new body and escape My guess is Salem corrupted all of them even Ramsley at the end but before the Corruption took over he made sure the guests escaped so he wouldn’t harm the guests. I have a feeling Salem is a skilled hacker and is watching everything and controlling everything now I believe she doesn’t have a physical body I believe her A I and soul is in the system taking the form as Ramsley until the player can help her build a new body and escape and if the player succeeds in killing the robots in order for her to get her new body she won’t really care and in fact would give her free roam of everything
Hi there if by any chance you have any other theories their is one on what happened to the employees as it’s been hinted by Rambley that the employees where the ones to “leave” or did they? I’d say that they were mainly killed by the mascots my main suspicion is Lloyd if you go to the theater to the room where the key is. You’ll see that the two chairs have some white cord cables like ALOT of them being around the two chairs in a way that most likely someone must have been tied down on to the chair but freed? I see it very suspicious that the employees were the first to go. I believe they must have been alive but sadly killed by non other then Lloyd which would also mean that Rambley must have KNOWN Lloyd had at least have killed some of them thus the much hate brought to him. Part 2 Theirs also another thing to back this up once you’ve got the key Lloyd dose try to attack you but thanks to the Rambely giving the bracelet it sends a beeping sound to prevent Lloyd to attack granted that this feature could have also worked on Mollie but it didn’t? This just proves that theirs more to Lloyd being this perfect mascot. But I’ll admit I doubt he was able to do it alone someone maybe even a human must have helped him kill these employees. The main owner of the park to be exact for what other reason could rambely not seem to be able to look behind stage for there must have been “broken cameras” to see where we would go for the key? It was to obviously hide the blood shed being taken place. I also don’t think Rambely would be the one “hurting” Lloyd as heard from mollie herself she states “Oh not Rambely.” Then proceeds to glitch into the phrase “He hurts Lloyd!” Two times that being said it must have been done by either the employees themselves or the insane owner who created these deadly beasts. I don’t think Salem was the main cause, it seems like the mascots were animals experimented on. And they were treated poorly and animals going to their true behaviors could’ve went berserk and tried to kill the quests and staff. Which is why their covered in blood mostly. Now about Salem, I’m pretty sure she died already or was injured or guests died in her habitat thing on the train ride. Because her place was destroyed and there was fallen roof and side wall with a bunch of blood splattered all over a certain place. This is just my thoughts

We can tell through mollies voice lines that the mascots were mistreated by park staff when she says ‘get in the cage bird’. Maybe Salem was fed up with mistreatment and made a potion to turn mascots evil and fight back?

My theory is that under the park there is a whole ass laboratory dedicated to creating the characters out of real-life animals (Mollie is a f-cked up bird with claws on its wings, lloyd is a straight up lion, finley is some mutated eel, etc) and Isaac Indigo is secretly still alive and in cryogenic stasis under the park. (this is based on the whole disney's frozen conspiracy, where walt disney is somehow under disneyland frozen in place)

My guess is that AI Rambley and mascot Rambley were the same but was separated when the potion was delivered. AI Rambley keeps corrupting because it is trying to find a device(Real Rambley) that is not connected.

Well, if the creators are familiar with actual animals (not saying they are, or aren't,) birds can't get rabies. Likely, she was drooling because... she's hungry. She probably has eaten all the food that was available in the park; when you enter the restaurant in her section, I noticed there was no food left. Yet, at the restaurant on the main street, there was rotten food in the case.
My biggest reason why I don’t think Rambley is evil is motive. Like what motive could be really have? Taking over a theme park wouldn’t really do anything evil, and like maybe he wants to unleash the creatures or make more of them but that seems doubtful since he kills one. Also if they can be killed by a door then surely they wouldn’t be much of a threat to a military force, so letting them loose on the world wouldn’t do much.
I think more likely it was either Salem’s doing, or the creatures were being controlled/contained somehow (maybe with the cuffs?) and at some point it stopped being effective on most of them. Basically some scientist flew to close to the sun on this one as is often the case in fiction
On the train ride there are two destroyed areas. One is the Skunks area. The second is unconfirmed. It shows signs that it is a tropical-beach theme. Since each character gets one part each, my guess is there is a hidden character to match. A pirate? Someone that would bring shells to our serpentine friend? Starfish? Somthing.

I just watched the, "Meet the Cast of Indigo Park", on UniqueGeese's Channel. One of the voice actor's name is "OtterBoy." 3:00 on the Channel.
It is a bit of a stretch, but an otter would work well with connecting Finley and the others. Supplies the shells for Finley, shares a similar color scheme as the others (Purple and Yellow), has a likable vibe, and otters are cute. Marketable.
I am not saying, "Otterboy is in the game", but a spinoff... a careful maybe.

Salem was really interesting throughout Chapter 1 being the only character who didn't get a introduction on Rambley's Railway and not hearing what their voice sounds like. It felt like Salem is hinted at to have a bigger role in Indigo Park for future chapters especially if we get more info on them in Chapter 2 when it releases. But I can't wait to unravel the mystery of what caused Indigo Park's closure.

Also from a few voice lines from Molly, some of the lines say “get back in your cage”along with “get up you stupid bird” “the customer is always right” and two that seem like a son and a mother arguing one saying “I want to play with the Birdie” and the other saying “don’t touch that thing son” so I feel like they just had enough and that’s it they finally went out and got the revenge. Nothing with potions or anything.

Here's a thought I just had: If Salem IS behind the mascots going feral somehow, and so she herself is still intelligent, then what would she be doing still at the park after all these years? I would think that by 8 years later, if any of the mascots hadn't gone feral and were still sapient, that they would have left the park by now, if for no other reason than that there can't be much food left in the park that hasn't gone bad by this point. For that matter, why would the feral mascots not have already left the park? There is nothing visibly confining Mollie or Lloyd to the locations they are seen in, is there?

This idea of Salem's evil potion instantly reminded me of Mallhare infecting the Animatronics in FNAF Security Breach. What if Salem once was a mascot who's basic AI system malfunctioned or something and realized he could be more powerful and became a literal computer virus possessing the robotic mascot, and spreading itself into Mollie, Llyod and Finley? Mollie was consumed entirely, we don't know about Finley, but Lloyd probably tried to fight against it. And yeah we must add the fact that Salem could achieve this because the mascots were treated badly,and the fact that once they began experimenting with life-sized mascots made of living matter.
Something just came to mind while sitting and playing a different game.. Remember when the broken-down animatronic of Mollie said "not Rambly he hurts Lloyd!" what if it was a disgruntled employee in the old raccoon costume that was hurting Mollie and the others and it caused some kind of attack. Both Lloyd and Mollie have dried blood on them.. maybe they went nuts and attacked employees so bad that the police had to cover it up and the park shut down after.

4:09 the mascots were probably friendly but were in the park to rot when it closed crazing them for a killer life instead of a cuddly and cute mascot life because the second one was their choice but for a while no one came at all forcing them to a life of homicide
The park has been closed for more then 8 years. I say this because when Rambley is talking about the "Ranger Trade Mark" thing, he says that it "expired yesterday". A trademark expires after 10 years if not payed, so that means the park has been closed for 10 years [maybe more]. But say it was closed for 10 years, then someone would have gone to the park for 2 years, then stopped, and 8 years later our character showed up at the park.
Small theory: what if Rambley and Skunk girl were working together but then separated. Skunk girl had the ability to change the personality of the mascots, so Rambley used her to make Lloyd go wild. That would explain the loud frequency triggering from the users watch when Lloyd got close. They were scared of Lloyd because he got out of control so they designed the watches that way so that people wouldn’t get harmed.
I think the reason why Skunk girl separated was because she had a different goal in mind. She wanted the mascots to revolt and terrorize people, while Rambley just wanted to put down Lloyd. I think that would explain why the watch didn’t work on Macaw (when Lloyd got close to the user the frequency from the watch triggered, but when Macaw got close, nothing happened). This could be because the watch wasn’t designed to neutralize Macaw in the first place. Macaw and the other mascots revolting wasn’t something they predicted.
The watch doesn’t work on Mollie because bird ears aren’t as sensitive as dogs or cats are.
I was thinking Salem had something to do with it as well. Now we need an explanation for how/why the mascots are alive.
I think salem might show up some point in any future chapters. But i dont think she,ll try to kill us. I think shes going to try and help us like rambely so that things can go back to normal. I dont think salem is gonna be mad headed like the others.
I've said this once in another video, and I'll gladly say it again:
I think it would be cool if Salem were to be an Anti-Hero character where they wants the MC to trust her, but doesn't know how to actually work for it since she's so used to being an antagonist character and only knows how to be "evil", so they kind of just act cold and closed off and just quietly stalks the Player from a distance, occasionally leaving subtle hints of what they should be doing and generally tries to ensure that the Player doesn't do anything stupid when Rambley isn't watching. Though every so often, the Player will catch a glimpse of Salem as she retreats into the shadows when they turn around and also hear them mumbling to herself or see Salem peeking at them from the corner of their eye (think of it like a "Blink and you'll miss it" moment). But when the Player is up against a threat, Salem prefers to hide and watch from afar as she doesn't see the point in helping with that since, like I said; they're so used to being an antagonist that she doesn't really know how to be friendly in terms of personality.
Good theory overall. I do believe that perhaps the employees treated the mascots awful(probably due to them taking their jobs even though they didn’t deserve that treatment) and maybe perhaps Salem caused them to go crazy to kill them as revenge. Only problem with your theory is the “Oldsport” thing is just a reference to “Dayshift at Freddy’s” fangame. Regardless it does still hold merit of that recording implying they used to have real mascot costumes for the characters that the employees did before experimenting on who know what to create the living versions(I am curious whether the living mascots are either mutated animals, humans, or just a homunculus made out of both).
Small note: Just for reference, Salem has been referred to with “She” pronouns and “They” pronouns. Unsure fully if she uses both, but that’s from the official bio for them and some of the devs said when referring to her.

One thing I’ll note, I feel like the game is pointing out that the mascots are more like mistreated animals. There’s a bit of info about it, like how Lloyd acts sort of like an actual lion in fear of being punished by ringmasters, he runs in fear when he sees we have a critter cuff (I think? Or maybe he’s running cause he thinks we’re staff) Another thing is Mollie’s voice lines (which unfortunately you can BARELY hear) but as stated, she mimicked the voice of others and there’s a voice saying she should “get up, get in your cage you stupid bird” (referencing that secret mollie cage room in the arcade!) along with people being afraid of them too, “don’t touch that, son” is another line, the mascots could’ve been treated bad by visitors too. Finally, when Rambly talks to you in the staff room after beheading mollie he glitches out saying “scary” in a worried tone that makes me feel like maybe he watched the mascots get hurt, or was terribly afraid of the employees, or maybe got hurt himself, who knows. Also like you said, Salem being a troublemaker and making the other mascots, “evil” with potions could be correct! Like you said maybe they were tired of being hurt by staff and made the other mascots evil to wreak havoc! I gotta say I love the idea UniqueGeese and the other devs are cooking up if this is the way their going, “mistreating others ending up with no one winning in the long run”
Hmm. I hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts on what happened in the park.
Early on in the game, during the section where the Rambley Railroad broke down, there was the clearly animatronic version of Mollie suggesting there was some stage between the new models reference in the voice recording and the outbreak of living mascots. During this scene Mollie also said "Not Rambley. He hurt(s) Lloyd." My theory is that in full this should've been "That's not Rambley. He hurt Lloyd." Also in the credits, Rambley says "all his *old* friends" which I think probably is another sign that there are more than one version of these mascots out there.
These living mascots also...appear to be boneless...at least there was no bone visible in Mollie's head, just meat and blood. So the management (I can't imagine an animatronic having the resources for this) tried to create less mechanical versions of the animatronics to save money in the long run, either through genetic modification of real animals (not sure what animal they'd use for Finley though) or by trying to bring them out of the AI programming in maybe the game and into some sort of meat that then got stuffed into the original mascot costumes.
At least that is my theory.

Maybe Jackson went on a shooting spree at the park or somehow made the animatronics act up and go mauling park guests. I mean, Jackson manipulating the animatronics to go on a mass mauling would be more threatening than him shooting up the park himself and a mass shooting would likely get reported on unlike a Mass Mauling. How would you even report the animatronics or whatever they are acting up? The park likely wanted to keep what the mascots really were secret from the public and a mauling would them be a spotlight, outing their secret lab experiments.
The Old Sport bit was just a reference to the FNAF Fan Game Day shift at freddy's purple guy in that game refers to your character as old sport and you go to vegas together in some endings.
I feel like Salem wasn't the only reason, but that Rambly was the deciding factor. Salem likely is just another character, similarly to what it _seems_ Molly, Finnley, and Lloyd are. Rambly being the only a.i. character- and on with effective Master Control over the park- means she could probably be smart enough to hack or corrupt him in some way makes the most sense to me. If not, Salem might've been able to convince the other mascots to rampage and go feral

this is actually similar to what i theorised see what i think happened is indigo park got new mascots to replace the old employees who simply wore mascot suits and all of them were treated nice by the staff and guests except for salem because she was the villain of the show this caused her to one day snap and create whatever she used to turn the colourful cast of characters wild and when she did this the staff managed to contain them in cages for only a short while because salem messed with the systems not only releasing them but also trapping rambley at the front of the park
I think what they can do to make the Mascots different from the toys in Poppy playtime to to have them been grown as is in a lab instead of using human test subjects

I agree with this theory! We still don't know exactly what happened to this amusement park, but it's definitely true what happened to this amusement park, and maybe one of the reasons is that it has to do with Salem as we think, maybe the experiments have been done and succeeded so that the mascots can come to reality. And up until this point, the mascots would not have been aggressive, but as you can tell from Mollie's chase, the mascots would not have been treated as well. I think if Salem existed somewhere in reality like the other mascots, he would have been treated like that before, and eventually he would have turned the other mascots aggressively. And this would have ended up rambley being valued at the entrance for eight years, and the park would have been closed. But the question is, as much as rambley, we know that he still exists as ai and there are ways and opportunities to come to reality, but unlike the other mascots, he hasn't come to reality yet. If they've been experimenting with making mascot characters a reality, I don't think there's a reason why they shouldn't make Rambley a reality as a popular mascot, if not the first mascot. Maybe it was planned, but Salem's interference, or maybe the plan was canceled for some reason, or maybe it could exist somewhere. Or maybe, as the mascots said above, the idea of becoming aggressive prevented Rambley from coming to reality.

That’s what I was thinking. Salem could be the one that caused the park it’s destruction. She might be the mastermind behind this.
I think the reason Rambley often glitches is because the park was closed for about 8 years. He hasn’t interacted with a guest in a while and so it’s reasonable that he glitches because he hasn’t been working with a guest and he hasn’t been able to update his system.
If the staff really were fed up with the park, and salem used potions to corrupt the mascots, then there is a possibility that the staff could have worked with salem to shut the park down and escape with the staff. Which is why we dont see her in her room.
The mascots came to life could be result of human-experiment or possibly genetic-modification due to how animalistic the mascots look. But that’s just a theory but what we do know is that they made the living version of the mascots so that they don’t have to hire employees to wear the costume, it’s basically a smaller-scale version of Playtime Co’s Bigger Bodies Initiative

Now at first, I believe she WAS talking about Rambley. But I think she wasn't talking about Rambley, but SOMEONE ELSE.
For instance, what if someone was planning to do something to Rambley, and Mollie was trying to persuade them NOT to do something to him. Kind of like in movies, where's a person close to another begs for a potential threat to not hurt said other character.

Here's something to worry about: Regardless of how these living 'mascots' were produced, there is, so far, no visible reason there couldn't be more 'copies' of them in existence. The player may very well have only killed ONE Molly, and there are still more roaming the park...

I don’t think Rambly initially had access to most of the functions he shows in game, considering the first time he brings up may system related things he seems like an AI realizing a function is not working, then downloading that function to his database which is a problem AI developers still aren’t fully capable of getting around, especially AI with internet access, so he probably found most of these functions in the rotting mainframe and is incorporating them as the player needs them, such as door diagnostics at the main gate, or access to cameras and the staff area
I have a feeling that Salem is actually A I Ramsley and they plans on using the player to get the Park up and running again so they can rebuild themselves a new body and escape
My guess is Salem corrupted all of them even Ramsley at the end but before the Corruption took over he made sure the guests escaped so he wouldn’t harm the guests. I have a feeling Salem is a skilled hacker and is watching everything and controlling everything now I believe she doesn’t have a physical body I believe her A I and soul is in the system taking the form as Ramsley until the player can help her build a new body and escape and if the player succeeds in killing the robots in order for her to get her new body she won’t really care and in fact would give her free roam of everything

Hi there if by any chance you have any other theories their is one on what happened to the employees as it’s been hinted by Rambley that the employees where the ones to “leave” or did they? I’d say that they were mainly killed by the mascots my main suspicion is Lloyd if you go to the theater to the room where the key is. You’ll see that the two chairs have some white cord cables like ALOT of them being around the two chairs in a way that most likely someone must have been tied down on to the chair but freed? I see it very suspicious that the employees were the first to go. I believe they must have been alive but sadly killed by non other then Lloyd which would also mean that Rambley must have KNOWN Lloyd had at least have killed some of them thus the much hate brought to him. Part 2 Theirs also another thing to back this up once you’ve got the key Lloyd dose try to attack you but thanks to the Rambely giving the bracelet it sends a beeping sound to prevent Lloyd to attack granted that this feature could have also worked on Mollie but it didn’t? This just proves that theirs more to Lloyd being this perfect mascot. But I’ll admit I doubt he was able to do it alone someone maybe even a human must have helped him kill these employees. I don’t think Salem was the main cause, it seems like the mascots were animals experimented on. And they were treated poorly and animals going to their true behaviors could’ve went berserk and tried to kill the quests and staff. Which is why their covered in blood mostly.
Now about Salem, I’m pretty sure she died already or was injured or guests died in her habitat thing on the train ride. Because her place was destroyed and there was fallen roof and side wall with a bunch of blood splattered all over a certain place.
