I work in Information Technology, and I can tell you mechanics still impress me more than office dorks. Mechanics are on a different level of hard work and intelligence.
Thanks again Warren for showing everyone the valuable service field mechanics provide to industry and agriculture. Best Wishes to You, Your Family and Friends.
So, I get up at 2:30 this morning and can’t get back to sleep, I open up You Tube and there is Warren with a vid posted on swapping out a transmission, nice job Warren, enjoyed watching, thanks for the post, still can’t sleep though.😊😂😂
That's odd. Any given hour I see at least one service truck. And I see lots of equipment in use. Why there must be a lot of people like Warren. Some a good deal better, some not as good.
Hey Warren love ur work as a retired mechanic not by choice me and both of my sons one a heavy vehicle mechanic and the other a ag mechanic all watch ur videos the amount the amount of knowledge you have passed on even to them and me thank you so much from the land down under Australia 🇦🇺 👌👍
Give this man beer. Warren. Your on hell of a micanic. Your story's rock. You love your grandma. And she's right. It's going to get real bad. Don't know if will make it through this powder keg but I know it's gonna blow. You rock.
Wby whould you use cordless stuff you got everything on your work truck. I usually put driveline on ratchet straps so it will stay on the straps and its easy to put back on
Warren another great video, you always amaze me with your knowledge of these trucks, which transmission fits and the changes that have to be made to fit and work.
Use Milwaukee every day and never had a battery issue. M12 and M18 and not easy on them. All use on heavy equipment and ag. If a tool has a problem dealer picks it and fixes it or replaces it.
I noticed when I switched from shop to service truck that I started having a lot of battery issues. I just assumed it was the temperature changes and the beating of the road.
I agree with you on the tool batteries. Expensive, don't last and become paperweights to soon. I got a large pile of the old 18v from when I contracted in the 2000's.
Another Great Video, Warren. I was hoping it would fit out the top, rather than fighting it out the bottom. I’m amazed how much stuff you can accomplish with you and your truck. Thanks for the Videos.
Hello Warren. I'm an everyday mechanic, I have tried every brand. I thought Milwaukee was the best. but their batteries like you said suck. have to have 5 different kinds including 5 different chargers. plus, they do not hold a charge for shit. I have found that ridged, and Dewalt is the best. Dewalt being first. same battery across all platforms and tools, same chargers, and they hold a charge for days.
Those guys are lucky to have you come to their place to work on this beast. I'd hate to see the tow bill for just that. Is that a teflon spacer behind the bell housing ? To have your knowledge on all these pieces of equipment is valuable in itself. What I want to know is if you ever try to figure how much longer you want to do this stuff.
Great video just put new transmission in a 38 ton crane was going to rebuild the old one but customer wanted a weller reman I like watching your videos when I can but it’s hard to since I’m a machine myself
The thing that gets me about Milwauke batteries is the cheap plastic. Most of the time the battery cells are still good but the plastic breaks, especially in cold weather. They make a chemically resistant battery with better plastic but I haven't tried those yet. They are 1.5-2x the cost and I've only seen them on the tool trucks.
I have a set of DEWALTS and MILWAUKEE electric tools. I'm waiting to see which ones fuck up first and i'll go with the other brand. I also had Hercules tools from harbor freight, those electric tools last quite a while for how cheap they are.
Go get your prostate tested,,Your at that age now,,Don't put it off till next week,,,ring for an appointment tomorrow ,,I worry about you,,your a good man,,
I could see you warren in a new Vw electric SUV with a three piece suit on and handmade shoes,,Sipping a mocha espresso with chocolate shavings in the shape of a heart,,We know this is what you secretly dream about,,
The batteries you can't leave them sitting on the chargers. When charge them stay close it only taste about 30 minutes to a hour to charge then pull it from charger. They will last a ton longer. I see people leave them on the charger for months till they need them that's very bad for them.
You don't think he doesn't use those tools daily? I'd think he has them under warranty with spares. DeWalt has caught up with Milwaukee these days, but that's only on a 1/2" driver. You notice the chrome sockets he used with that impact? Might was well tell him to use impacts. The guy is a seasoned pro. Live & learn.
The guys talking about there power tool batteries are in a heated shop because if they had there tools out in the cold they last like one season I have the same issue as you do
I work for a large company with hundreds of cordless tools. We average about 1000 charge cycles per battery. I have to imagine it's the solvents contaminating batteries somehow. We have guys driving 50000 screws a week on those batteries. Something is not adding up.
I don't watch your stuff that much cause you never show the end product all fixed and working when your all finished. Should start doing that i think more will watch then. Good job though
@@westerntruckandtractorrepa1353 The difficulty and diversity of your projects is impressive. Your clients would be out of business without your expertise. You'd survive. KT3406E referred me over years ago, that young man certainly knows his CAT engines. Best wishes, Warren.

I like when you say "uuuuugh". That's how we all feel everyday. But it's good to see a guy that does it.

Back in the 80s I made a Lego truck with a pretend 15 speed transmission Hey bud, keep up the good work though
I also would like to add is nearly 40 years later. I still have that LEGO truck.

Looking good . Keep up the cool vid's.

Most field mechanics I know feel exactly the same in regards to Milwaukee batteries AND tools!
Bad ass swapping that out in the field man💪

Got er done! 😊
Warren , Don’t know what you make a year , but you EARN every dime of it …..
I'm with Warren and the battery tools, a few extra psi into a decent air impact....
This d00d is i feel the poster child of america.. 💯
Warren you're a hard worker sir
thanks for the share Warren!
Thanks for another great post!
Morning Warren. Kindest regards, Bill 🇨🇦🇨🇦
That's right Warren there battery's are all crap. Nothing beats the old hand canyon.
Gona be a long rodeo hanging onto that phone 😂😂😂

I'm pleased that somebody else agrees with me about battery tools !
thank you

The jobs keep rolling in warren 👍👍👍👍.
Could do without them when you are very busy as it is 👍👍
Have driven a few 15 speeds love the feel of them . I know I’m weird
milwaukee batteries have a 2 or 3 warranty if registered within your 1st 30 days of purchase
Nice cabover
Never had luck with Milwaukee batteries too hard on them. Run dewalts now on a set of 20 one or two break a year.

Which Leatherman are you using?
Hang in there Warren
Not sure if anyone has ever told you this mate, but you look like Christian Bale 😂
Yes shit you have to be a octopus when putting in a transmission.
Does anyone know why there are fine threads? Especially, with an exterior application on outdoor equipment.
used the batteries for work and yes he is right they dont last if you use them daily. 100% right

They kept shaking loose on the gun losing contact
231c never needs batteries!
The cordless tools are not made for professional use, they are for the weekend people that work on their own stuff.
I threw down 300 dollars, for a battery Dewalt chainsaw, it lasted less than 10 hours, the resistor burnt out. St.Paul,Minnesota.
👍
Great job Warren! Appreciate!
BTW , if thats a Motorola phone you have, all you have to do is shake it to turn the light on.
Holy fuck old truck
#Roger
For the algo!

Don't care

Wouldn't it be nice if farmers power washed the equipment before you fix thier scrap
Warren you are shore due for and easy job nothing but ball busters lately 🦘
