Attention!! Press Start to play the game in the video and press select to play a random game.
In this video, i show you how to enable Video Snap Screen Savers within Retropie running on your Raspberry Pi. you can also start playing the game shown in the screen saver by pressing Start And Select on your controller.

Very nice man thanks. The games seem to look better on the Retropie than they originally did which is awesome. Found my old SNES system yesterday along with a couple of games.

I’m running this on a 3 a+ and it gets stuck in the screensaver and won’t wake up from any button. It requires a hard reboot get out. It does work with the static image option, including the start game feature.

If you cant press start or any buttons whilst the screensaver is activated. Turn the omx player off.

My screensavers aren't playing right if omx is on the video will start but go out after 2 seconds and just the audio will play if it's off the video is really choppy

What happens if your video is shorter than 30 seconds, does it loop the same video till the 30 seconds are over, or will it show a black screen till the next video shows ?

ETA, everything worked well and fine but for MAME, not all the game has good clip for video. Most are blank..... Is there a way to SELECT A CERTAIN VIDEO instead of being random?

So I was wondering is there a way to set a screen saver to come on if someone say a kid forgets to exit a game so you don’t get image burns in your monitor

Yes there is. While in a game press the hotkey button and what ever button takes you to the Retro Arc menu and navigate to the settings menu. Then select the video option and turn on the " suspend screen saver " option. Make sure to turn on the " save config when exiting " option as well. Hope this helps.
