So really being a Christian is about “Who you know AND who you know changes and guides what you do “ and why you do it. All out of a heart of love ❤️

It is interesting that Pastor Giglio can preach a whole sermon (42 minutes long) on conversion to Christianity and never mention baptism. Meanwhile, in the ancient church a preacher could not faithfully talk about Christian conversion without referring to baptism every few minutes. This demonstrates how meaningless baptism has become in Gnostic strains of Christianity.

Yes Louie can preach a 42min sermon w/o mentioning baptism. That is because baptism is a reflection of what has already happened in a persons heart! Yes, it is part of Obedience, yes, it is commanded, yet so many believers are missing other points of obedience in how we are to live! With love and respect, Dave

@@davidepps9190 While your position expressed here is an accurate description of a modernist view developed by the radical reformers such as the Anabaptists (however not the original Reformers), it does not reflect what the ancient church and thereafter in both the East and West taught for 1500 years. Even imminent Baptist historians and scholars like G.R. Beasley-Murray, in his definitive and thorough study of the subject in "Baptism in the New Testament" admitted that the evidence is overwhelming and conclusive that baptism was understood in the ancient church to be a central component of Christian conversion and not a mere empty symbol. The point is, the symbolic view of baptism was not shared by the Apostles or the Church Fathers, nor any orthodox teacher or theologian until the modern era. I personally view it as a revival of Gnostic Christianity.

      @@davidepps9190 Questions to consider:
Read Acts 19:1-5 and ask yourself, "Why did Paul ask the disciples of John, 'What baptism did you receive...'?" Rather than "Do you believe in Jesus?"
Read Acts 2 and ask, "Why did Peter respond to the crowd seeking salvation with this statement: "'38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins..'" Rather than, "Just believe in Jesus. You can get baptized later?" Why is forgiveness linked to baptism?
Read Mark 16 where Jesus says, "15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved,..." Why did Jesus put baptism right along with belief?
Read the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. Ask yourself, "Why does disciple-making consist in baptizing (first) followed by teaching obedience?"

Hi!! So does that mean that one can’t be saved or even say their saved until they have been baptized?

It’s not that we do and mimic Jesus so that others may see and know Jesus!!! WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!
We learn about Christ for OUR OWN peace, joy, and hope!!! For OUR OWN fellowship and relationship with our heavenly Father!!
Not one word in his definition about the Father…Who is greater than Jesus!!! [John 14:28].
Jesus is NOT God!!! He is the SON of God! He represented God the Father! To make him God is blasphemy and idolatry which is why the church is screwing over so many people’s minds and fleecing them of their souls and bank accounts.
Flee these wicked organizations as fast as you can!!!!
