This brought back memories of the things I had as a small kid. Sure the 90s werent nearly as neat as the years before but I still loved playing with things that made you use your imagination or a friend, unlike so many things today that take the u out of fun
No Green Ghost game? You only play it at night - hold its board up to the ceiling light - to play the game you then turn off the lights, because the game board would GLOW in the dark - I can't remember, were there 3, or 4 "graves" you reach into? One had "spider webs" in it (feathers), another had "snakes" in it ( rubber bands) and the other had "bones" in it ( small plastic pieces) - so yeah the board had ...3 graves? You open each one with a big, black key... Hadn't played it in a long time, its board got cracked ...
I inherited some of my games from my older sisters…..clue, Twister, monopoly, but I had spill the beans, potato head, ker plunk, Aggravation, Risk, Trouble, Sorry, Headache, and operation
I bought my brother one of those water rockets when we were in our twenties (no, I'm not saying when that was.) We stood outside the garage where we worked and tried it out. It shot off vertically, so fast we missed it going and was out of sight before we could look up to follow. 'Well, that's the last we'll see of that!' We stood chatting for a bit and then started to go back in. It reappeared, crashing onto exactly the spot we'd been standing. It being a concrete surface we were sure it was now certainly destroyed. It was fine. Steve still has it somewhere. I bet it still works.
That's a great story! As I was reading it, I thought you were going to say it hit you in the head :-) I remember the distinct sound it made when it blasted off. This new model was quite a disappointment. I'll have to keep my eyes open for an original. The rubber washer may need to be replaced...or maybe not. Probably will still work as it is. Take care Mark!
The Dollar Store isn't even a dollar store anymore, it's a dollar twenty-five store. The next generation will have 5 & 10 stores again, but it will be 5 & 10 dollar stores!
Hey Tom, I loved the wind up toys and the rockets. You're right. The fear of law suits has ruined toys. I shot off a lot of rockets with and blew up several chemistry sets. It was great fun! Thanks for the video.
Wow! What a fantastic video! I was born in 1955, It was like you read my mind, I did not have all the toys there but I do remember the tv ads. Do you have any thoughts about the toy theme songs? Please leave your thoughts here. I look forward to seeing your next video! David from Sebring Florida USA 🇺🇸
Hi David. Glad you liked the video. I have a playlist with lots of other toy videos. One video has a lot of old commercials as well as the toys. Heres the playlist link: ruclips.net/p/PLrb30Zy6QqbtvmgiE00UoguxCMWyispDT Here's the video with many commercials: ruclips.net/video/SCIasO9embw/видео.html

We weren't a bunch of wimps. We were lucky though surviving the things we did. At least I was lucky. My mom said I had no fear.

"Shafer always leaves you laughing"
I think that came from the cootie bug toy (game?).
I probably spelled Shafer wrong .
The only toy worth having was a good slot car set.
1/24th or 1/32nd?
@@alpha-omega2362 1/32nd of course. I started with Strombecker.
@@alpha-omega2362 1/32. Cheaper, and you could build a much better layout in the same amount of space.
Does anyone remember a toy was was made of cubes and tubes that you would assemble, and then let a plastic ball run through it?
