I watched the last show last night. I cried. My husband is sad. Walt is off to find treasure and Vic will wait for him. Loved Standing Bear getting the casino and another Longmire running for sheriff. Zach and Ferg also got a nice ending. I loved the show, I miss it already.
I absolutely loved the show. The writers and actors NAILED IT!! They need to listen tot he fans and bring us a few more seasons. There is lots of story to tell yet.
We are in dire need of quality westerns with Robert Taylor! He can carry on in the tradition of Robert Duvall...John Wayne...Tom Selleck. Some of the new westerns are soooo bad and the "cowboys" pathetic. We appreciate the true grit!

I had cable installed just to watch this show! With such a fan base can't understand why another provider hasn't come forward , after all "Gunsmoke" had a 20 year run and we loved that too. Someone please bring back Longmire !!
A wonderful tribute to Longmire and Robert Taylor. But it makes me so sad at the reminder of the ending of this great, great show. The producers should have paid the money to keep these great actors and series on air.

I'm an Aussie and I'm embarrassed to say that I've only just discovered Longmire (thx to netflix) and I am blown away by how good it is. Robert Taylor is absolutely phenomenal as the Sheriff and totally owns the character. Cant for the life of me figure out why they cancelled it and can only hope someone resurrects it soon as its deserving of another season or two :)
It was an absolutely phenomenal show. I could definitely rewatch the series again someday. It’d be nice to see another season or two of Longmire, but they did make the perfect ending. I can give them credit for that

Robert Taylor deserves to have the chance to play Walt again. In fact all these actors deserve an encore of Longmire. I am a new fan as I just saw this on Netflix and it’s the best thing I’ve seen on Netflix. Characters allowed to develop, grow, make mistakes, find real love. Gotta love the chemistry here between Walt and Vic. Two great actors taking care of each other on screen. Too good to not be together again. I felt the ending was a bit rushed for these two compelling characters: and could strangle Vic for saying “I don’t know if we were meant to be together.” What??? We all knew early on that these two characters belonged together. The undercurrent of longing was always there even as they stumbled through other relationships. We need more of the series to continue their relationship and how it impacts the other characters. Come on Netflix! This is still one of the Most watched series even in re runs. Bring it back.

So glad I finally watched it. I'd heard the raves during its original run, but am not a big Western fan. You don't have to be to LOVE it. It's one of the very best series ever developed, no matter the genre.
Six seasons is a good run. As sad as I am to see it end, it would have been worse to have live past its sell by date. The last episode tied things up nicely.
LMAO I was telling my sister about this show and she was like "Ok.. I might check it out someday." Few days later she called me up and said "WTF! YOU DIDN'T TELL ME HE WAS HOT!" I said I'm a dude and didn't know he was hot lol, I just liked the show. She ended up burning through all six seasons in a little over a week.
He is in so many movies and series. Matrix, the Meg, Vertical Limit, etc. When you Google him you can see he is always working. He was always a heartthrob!! A lot are Australian films that we in the US have trouble viewing. 🥲
Very view shows leave such a foot print as this one has. All the characters really connected gave the show a real feel. I grieve for all of them that the years together went so fast. We discovered show thru a friend in 2019. The issues addressed were true this added to the realism of what was being portrayed. I wished they had not dropped a few of the characters like Branch (who got a really bad wrap! his character was solid and he really respected Walt like the Father he did not have, and Walt's first romance with the little Blonde and Travis. I really believe Eman was a better suit for Vic. The natural attraction between Walt and Vic would have been better kept at arms length. The end was to fast packed and the sex scene trashed the last episode for me. I just fast forward, hate that. A closed door says enough. I don't need a porno display. Other than that the show is so fun to watch. Reminds me of a Modern version of Lone Ranger and Tonto. : )
