I actually felt same. Nate needs Ara. Ara needs Nate. And I couldn’t watch without crying 😭I’m looking forward to see next chapter about Ara’s story!!!!
Yup! A strong man needs a soft and gentle soul to allow them to grow and have another side to them. I say that about my brother in law who reminds me of Nate. I joked that he needs a daughter for him to have a soft side hahaha 😂
As a former marine, he probably doesn't take failure well. To my eyes his body language was expressing the frustration about Cesar succeeding so quickly and elegantly getting closer to Ara, the thing he couldn't achieve even he tried so hard. I think Cesar was very respectful and kind towards Nate.
You bring it tonthe table and straight in point. The first time Nate steps behind the scene tonthe table I am wondering what the fuck is he doing ? What is he doing his lips/mouth like this? Why is he so uncomfortable with the big DOGGE? He is auch an narcissm person and he dont know anything about dogs
I think he is a super prick!!!! It's obvious he brings the tension and shit energy to their "pack". He doesn't deserve such a wonderful dog. Super egomaniac
@@astheskylarksings I remember seeing a vlog and he treats her horribly and the way he spoke to her was so so sad to see. I think she said he kept her in check but really he is controling . I hope she realizes this is not healthy treatment
It’s clear he doesn’t like the dog, and wasn’t invested in helping her. On his phone when Cesar was giving advice, no celebration when the dog started to relax, and he even walked off alone at the end of the session. No wonder the dog was petrified.
Ara came into his Girlfriend’s life for a reason. It will b her biggest mistake in her life if she doesn’t Dump him big time. Everything happens for a reason. A blessing in disguise! It’s not just on National ....... need I say more!
@@siokbeephua7672 "Ara came into his Girlfriend’s life for a reason. It will b her biggest mistake in her life if she doesn’t Dump him big time. Everything happens for a reason. A blessing in disguise! It’s not just on National ....... need I say more!" .... With all due respect, this comment is the biggest load of bullshit ever. No RESPECTABLE human should ever sever their relationship to someone just because some dog with "issues" comes along. The problem here is DUE to the past Ara the dog has experienced, she has some SEVERE issues that need addressing. Don't get me wrong, the guy ALSO needs to stop hiding behind his "faux strength" and allow himself to become "vulnerable" by being more animated and in touch with his feelings. But what people that say what the original poster of this message fail to remember is that the DOG'S issues are NOT the issues he and she are going through. For all we or anyone knows they have a wonderful relationship. For anyone reading this message, I advise you to ignore this type of message "Oh the dog doesn't like my partner, must be a sign we shouldn't be together" ... it's ABSOLUTE and complete bullshit. Address the separate issues the dog has so that it may be introduced to a "pack" that already existed and thrived before the dog came into the picture. DON'T be stupid and break up with your significant other because you went and got a "RESCUE dog" and it had issues with someone already in the pack. I'm LITTERALLY waiting for someone to say something stupid like: "Oh my rescue dog doesn't like my son, man, it's time to do away with my son I guess... he must be the devil!"
Look at Nate's expression at 12:17. He is not happy that the dog is getting help, because HE wasn't able to work with the dog. Nate was bragging earlier about fixing other dogs, but doesn't have the patience or know-how for Ara. His ego can't handle someone else's success where he's failed. Ara senses his frustration and fear, so she has no respect or trust. Unless Nate changes his attitude and listens to Caesar's expertise, nothing will ever change.
I'm really relieved that I'm not the only own who thinks Nate is aggressive. The tone of voice, the way he speaks and the body language gives away so much.
I’m only half way through the video so maybe I’m missing something he does later, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it aggression 🤔 he doesn’t have the “forwardness” of aggression… his chest is more caved rather puffed out, he’s hugging himself tightly 99% of the time, he’s “protecting” himself with huge muscles and tattoos (it’s like he’s protecting himself through other people’s perceptions). He puts on a front because he’s timid just like the dog lol he couldn’t connect to elevate her because he was right there with her for some reason 🤷🏼♀️ well, that’s what I see at least
He’s a total jerk, there is a huge wall up with him, he’s gotta let his ego go, or he won’t ever get through to this dog! Let it go dude! Past is past!
He’s a Marine corp vet, that’s all that needs to be said. He’s not a bully he’s the person you want with you if shit ever hit the fan, different lifestyle, different breed
He's just " at the ready in case he's attacked " LOL his ticket says he's left the marines , his body says he's still there though - dog thinks he's a miserable stick in the mud hahaha
Yep, most definitely, and stone cold, living in the past memory of what happened before as he couldn't force Ara to do as he wants, wring energy, tension with a bad vibe. I hope he can relax a bit and continue to show the dog he won't harm her but love her.
Yes, he said "when I force her to be with me" not something more like "when I want to be with her". Ara isn't feeling that he wants to be with her but like she HAS to be with him. Yucky feeling. Same in a relationship with people. It's not about dominating another being. It's about leading and loving.
@@Arsalias the dogs doesn't care how he looks but saying" the dog is now mine! "He is ugly inside!!!At least for this dog, let's not forget he rescued other dogs, but it made him cocky thinking he is the man who can deal with any dog without effort he needs to understand dogs are individuals
He said “the marine corps took your smile away” 😂 “this is not the marines” Hahahaha omg this guy needs to chilllllllllllllllllllllllllll. And quit blaming the dog ❤️ Cesar trying his hardest to get through to him
I know, LOL! If that girl was my daughter I would tell her to run the other way! This guy needed to stay in The Marines longer so he could get a little help getting off his high horse. My husband is a former Marine and is always smiling, very approachable and doesn't walk around like Robocop thinking he needs to control anyone. Specially a defenseless little girl like Ara.

Hell, was that guy pissed, he needs to know its NOT all about is mucho crave man thing. She as properly been hurt by a man or she is very gently female dog she is terrified of men for some reason, I hope by now he is more gentle with her... ❤❤❤ South Africa
They used the MC to excuse this douchebag behavior. The MC makes MAN out of boys and this guy obviously didn't learned a damn thing. I feel so sorry not so much for the girl because she's choosing to stay with that guy but for poor Ara being in the same house as that ogre.
What is Nate talking about. His attitude towards Cesar who is literally telling him what he was doing wrong is baffling. All Nate was doing was repeating himself over and over again. Quit talking about ara and bringing her down. Nate you’re the problem so fix it
He presents training in 7 days. Each of 7 items are commands that he believes a dog should know. They are presented in part ii of the book ruclips.net/user/postUgkxK8-VQWpYThx4IC6MiIvb6VS1ebTzzdxq . The parts of the guideare divided: part i know your dog part ii the seven commands part iii cures for 7 behavior problems. Each chapter presents a topic, a dog's story, and a "what to do". It was written simply and you can jump from chapter to chapter to review anything as needed.
Nate makes me nervous and anxious watching him through a video, can you imagine what Ara feels living with this man? Dogs can sense negative or aggressive energy. Look at the way she’s acting around Cesar. She’s totally relaxed and in a calm state. I feel so sorry for her.
Cesar’s advice was 100% accurate. Nate might be a great guy but his energy needs to change - honestly even I would be intimidated by his demeanor.. it often comes across as closed off, unapproachable, unfriendly and intense. The frustration and even annoyance in his voice as he was describing the problems they’d had with her in the past was palpable, so I can’t imagine how obvious it was to Ara in those admittedly difficult moments as they happened. Add that to the fact that he’s this huge, macho man, and of course any fearful dog with a bad history with men is going to have difficulty feeling comfortable around him. Cesar’s advice to “smile” and “relax” were a little awkward, but I think his point to Nate was just to loosen up and use warmer, more relaxed body language around Ara, joyfully celebrate her wins, while still remaining consistent and firm (but gentle) in training. It’s amazing to see the progress Nate made in this video alone, but I truly hope he continues to show up (and yes, make Ara “his” dog for a while) because she absolutely has potential to change for the better. Thank you Remi and Nate for giving her a second chance!! ❤️
Latrice Murphy I think he’s jealous of the dog also I think he has anger management problems and I think he’s abusive. It’s all about him he looks like a little kid throwing a tantrum by crossing his arms and acting like I really don’t wanna be here. Which is a shame because they’re so lucky they had a one on one with Cesar normally people want to have a one on one Cesar. And at the end of the video did you noticed he didn’t walk the dog to the car he walked ahead of both of them. Hopefully she did a background check on this gentleman he did say at one point he was homeless before they met
@@memejmoon9716Exactly. He acts unprofessional and as a person. If he acts like that towards my dad when he is showing him how to do something, I would have ended the relationship. Talk about a large ego problem.
The bf is so full of posturing. Why does he approach a fearful dog face on, at close quarters, and making himself bigger by squatting with his legs wide open and elbows out and staring angrily straight into the dog's eyes??!! Of course the dog will be fearful!
He's being whiny that Ara doesn't feel comfortable with him and doesn't seem want to approach Ara differently or give her space. Heck, he doesn't seem to want to interact with Caesar and be open-minded to the new method of training. Couldn't stand watching him on the video. Proud of Caesar for calling him out.
hes doing that because it has had possible outcomes with other dogs he worked with. just like he is an "ambassador" for men to the dog, this dog is an ambassador of these behaviors to him. obviously he cares enough to figure this dog out. he might even be more patient than me because i would hate to clean up poop everytime i am with this dog and i would also feel bad that the dog has to expel her bowels each time she sees me. this guy is learning.
Definitely, his ego was 'hurt' a bit seeing Cesar succeed, or even saying that this 'case' requires a 'Master' (in dog training). I could not help but notice that the first time Cesar caressed the dog, this guy was checking his phone... Then, he kept talking about the past.... This guy has not gotten away from his thinking as an ex-Marine. He is stuck, really stuck, and he does not know it. He has not come to terms with whatever he went thru. Consequently, it is obvious that he has a terribly unbalanced energy, and the dog feels it immediately. In a few seconds, he almost completely blew up what is took maybe an hour to Cesar. Oh well, Hopefully, his habit of intimidating dogs into submission and especially the energy to 'conquer' the dog has changed to a more loving energy. Who knows, this dog might have helped him to heal his internal scars.
As Nate sat in the background he nudged one of Caesar’s dogs with his Elbow then stands up. Not good energy at all. Timing 6:02 the dog needs patience and calm energy. If he’s like that on camera with a dog that’s not even his. Can’t imagine what that dog felt being left alone with him for a week! Omg
Yeh well it’s more complex than that though, she hated Cesar as well. Cesar luckily is a true intuitive, he gets animals more than any trainer or breeder I’ve ever seen. He’s amazing.
YES! he looks a little on the egocentric side and not used to failure. Dogs are very good judges of character and Ara can really sense something about Nate.
The boyfriend is the problem he is aggressive with this dog because he isn’t used to failure since he’s worked with other dogs because! He needs to throw out all he knows because the dog needs to see he isn’t a threat
Does your guy even like dogs? Or just ones he feels he can make submit? Even at 6:09 when that sweet Great Dane comes over to him, he wants nothing to do with it. Dog lovers are all about petting some dogs.
@@biankaag4051 He thinks he's alpha and what alpha does. I got a feeling they are going to break up. I just hope Ara is with her instead of him. He's a prick. I know several guys like him.
Totally agree, I noticed that too. Wish I hadn’t watched this, was horrible to watch. Hopefully Cesar keeps a close eye on them and their poor dogs. He is not the right match for that fearful dog.
@@biankaag4051 lol exactly and they're living together! He sounds manipulative. They're going to break up for sure. Glad, Caesar threw funny truths at him.
That’s guy’s masculinity is so fragile. He didn’t even take his sunglasses off to make eye contact with Cesar, how rude. Look at his stance, with his arms folded, hands in pockets, chewing on gum like he’s trying so hard to stay calm. He screams aggressive and tense.
The boyfriend has serious problems which are evident by his roughness. I’ve met men like this one which ended up having personality and narcissistic disorders and it wasn’t fun to be around them. The woman is in trouble. The dog is a small manifestation of the controlling dude. 🤮
I know he’s trying, but dudeeee. Every time progress is made with the dog he automatically starts bringing up everything she DID wrong. Embrace and just enjoy the fact that she’s changing. He couldn’t smile, he couldn’t relax, he couldn’t even bring himself to want to want to really engage with the dog. I don’t think he sees himself as the problem. It’s “the dog hates me even when I try to discipline her and force her to stop being afraid” literally all he had to do is take a deep breath and relax literally just SMILE AT THE DOG 🙄 he’s a robot😩 good luck y’all, best of wishes for Ara 💎
He wasn't even listening to Cesar half the time on his phone and next worrying about if he had a tough posture, it was exhausting to watch.. he's more worried about gym, he should focus on the cold hard unforgiving bars that he can demand control over.
Her boyfriend just refuses to accept that its his negative, authoritative energy that is pushing this poor dog away. I think he needs therapy...work on his inner peace.
I’m sorry but Nate is so rude.... he’s on his phone during so many important moments like hello this training session is basically for you!! That dog is TERRIFIED of your energy because you look angry, I would be terrified 🤦🏽♀️ totally not saying you are a bad person just really think Nate could be doing ALOT more to help ara, hopefully he learns something from this...
@Shining Dove so there's something wrong with the dog right? Stop sugarcoating bad behavior. Even Cesar told us to not care about the past or the future, just work with the present. The present says the dog have issues, correct? And the man's attitude doesn't help at all.
Sue V definitely!! “Maybe I’m too confident” errmm no it’s not confidence, it’s intimidation, impatience, aggression when she isn’t doing what you expect. Every time he asked what have you learned, he’d say I have to push her, or force her, no, you need to calm down and be patient. Look at him sitting down face on in front of her food bowl and he wonders why she didn’t eat for the week. He hasn’t got a clue but thinks he does & seems unwilling or unable to learn from someone who built his empire on his knowledge. It’s such a shame that the poor dog has them as owners. With the right owner, she could finally live a life where she isn’t terrified all day long and isn’t being attacked by other dogs in the same house due to incorrect leadership. You could see he had no love for the dog & no sympathy for what she has endured in her lifetime. Look at the progress Cesar made in a matter of minutes & he spent a whole week & got nowhere other than her not eating & crapping herself with pure terror. Please let someone else rehabilitate her who is equipped to do so.
Absolutely love how Cesar corrected him: You cannot force them. You have to guide them. This is a great way to reframe it and help us decide the baby steps we need to take and actively be creative and adapt to the situation.
Nate is not confident he is arrogant. All you have to do is watch his body language and attitude as Caesar works with Ara. Nate is not about helping the dog he is about using dogs to feed his ego. His energy and attitude put me off so imagine what will do to a terrified dog. But one must love Caesar for putting people on their place.
Im sad to see Ara so scared of Nate. Dogs can feel energy good or bad or agressive. I wish Nate would listen to Cesar more and not be so defensive or act like he knows all. He needs to let go of the past and negativity. I get anxious just watching Nate , his energy is kinda scary and aggressive.
18:52. “That’s the PAST brother! You keep referring to the PAST. Live in the present. Breathe brother .” Cesar is being so patient and so helpful. Thank you Cesar.
Remi, You were perfectly authentic, transparent, open, flexible and willing. Unfortunately Nate did not role model that for us, as your viewers/fans/followers; most of us only observed his jealousy and insecurity and his strong need to let Cesar know how articulate and precise he is. That is insecurity/low-self-esteem some where--that is what we are addressing and want him to process/digest our observations and do some introspection of the thoughts he was having in the moment of being taught by another Teacher is was and is so humble and compassionate. The teacher (NATE) needs to learn and be willing to learn and demonstrate/role model that at all times, (LIKE HOW YOU DID VIA THE WHOLE SESSION WE ALL OBSERVED YOU). Thank you for the disclaimer explanation, we know you guys were doing what any concerned Dog-parent would do. I can only speak for me, I understand and validate/support your self-care/family-care efforts, wanting to keep Ara as part of your pack. However, you honestly do not have to explain/justify and/or apologize for your Nate's passive aggressive insecure behavior . Finally, (and this is a big finally) I don't think Nate is bad guy, I thank him for serving our country. I do not think this session with Cesar is the sum total of who Nate is, that would not be fair. HOWEVER, I think Nate will just want to take in this feedback, take responsibility, as all humans should try to do from time to time. Sometimes, "it is, what it is". There is no room for blame-shifting or placation. Not that i am anyone special of special request, but i just want Nate to own how his non-verbals were projected/displaced onto Cesar like he was the "Enemy of the State. Nate's take-away(s) could be, to learn how to be more mindful and conscious of his nonverbal communication i.e.(folded arms, sun glasses on, as to avoid direct eye contact as to inform Cesar he was open to acceptance and change, Nate's foot on Cesar's property, and not asking Cesar if it was okay, feet belong on the ground, just common courtesy, Nate looking at his phone/looking disinterested/disengaged ready to go, cause Cesar did what he could in minutes/hours, Nate being stuck in some Freudian stage of rejection, and/or behavior of ongoing disrespect). Nate authentically owes Cesar an apology, he can change that imprint. "Wrong is wrong, right is right". One thing has nothing to do with the other, yes you guys were there with good intentions to get you and your canine-family the interventive/preventative support you all so righteously deserve. However, Nate was still rude, i am inferencing you want us to take is easy on Nate, but when you go on national TV, you are kinda leaving yourself open to feedback and constructive criticism, there is no room/place/space for primal defense mechanisms. Remi, You role modeled the kind of behavior, that was appropriate to the context, Nate should have followed your lead, and Ara's lead...PERIOD>POINTBLANK! LOVE YOU GUYS ARE SO WELL INFORMED ON HEALTH AND NUTRITION. APPRECIATE ALL YOU ARE DOING FOR SELF-CARE AND SELF-LOVE!
I don’t think he’s arrogant at all, he’s a marine that is still stuck in his marine way of thinking. That doesn’t make him horrible because he was a soldier for this country. It makes him a man that stood up for his country, which takes courage. And he also had the courage to help the dogs that need someone to help them, as he said, they’ve worked with aggressive dogs before. He just needed new guidance to help him help Ara, that’s why they went to Cesar. Any “arrogant” or “aggressive” human being wouldn’t have gone looking for the help to get him a relationship with a dog he cares about. They would’ve just dropped them off at a shelter, or abandoned them. If you can’t see that, then I’m pretty sure you’re the horrible one.
Cesar often says you don't get the dog you want you get the dog you need. He's been taught to be rough and hard which works for some past dogs but this dog is here to bring him balance. She will teach him to be easier, softer, and calmer. Itll bring a little more balance in his life.
@@KaitMBx17 All of that "he was a marine" stuff is a cop out. It was just a point in his life and didn't shape his personality or his attitude. He didn't WANT to relax. He didn't WANT to take those sunglasses off. He didn't WANT to smile. He WANTED to mess with his phone instead of listen to Cesar. He didn't even walk with his GF at the end. He takes himself way too seriously to be at one with a dog. He does things mechanically.
@@KaitMBx17 Arrogance: showing an offensive sense of superiority. The way that this guy is talking about the dog, even to a remarkable dog trainer like Cesar says it all. I'm a veteran of the USN myself but I'm not snotty or impatient like this guy seems to be nor does my service time give me a right to be so or think that I'm better than anyone. Did you catch how he said his relationship with his girlfriend wasn't going to work out if the relationship with the dog doesn't? 17:11 I hope this woman has moved on from this guy!
I was wondering why he was wearing caps and sunglasses working with a scared dog. Why did noone tell him to take it off? It makes his face so dark and impossible to read. My dog is also afraid of men, but men with hats are like the devil to him, so i always tell people to take their hats off and just relax and look away. It always works, everytime.
I hated when Nate said “she’s my dog now , not hers” (his gf) . the look on Cesars face like ‘he hasn’t got a word iv been saying’ . And how Nate used words like forcing the dog and making her submit . Cesar had to keep correcting him , not to think that way. I don’t think Nate liked being corrected at all or shown how to do things . And he just point blank refused to smile no matter how many times Cesar encouraged him to . Feel sorry for the dog having to go back with him.! HORRIBLE MAN ! I think even Cesar knew this man wasn’t gonna change and had a stinking attitude. I wonder what happened to the poor dog 😢
Dogs are not cookie cutter. You can’t expect Ara to be like every other dog he has trained. I truly hope he opens his heart and realizes that Ara is in his life to teach him patience and gentleness. She will be more confident and happy if she knows that he loves her unconditionally. These two people have a totally different approach. She was petting dogs and getting emotional. I wish Nate could let his emotions out and break down those walls.
Pretty sad to see someone as ego driven as Nate. You could tell by his demeanour, excuses and constant repeating of himself that his ego was being hurt by Cesar’s help. Lol. Cesar handled their situation so well, as he always does! I hope Nate took the advice given and I hope the dog and him are doing much better together now.
Sorry, Nate‘s intentions may be good, but his energy is all wrong. Way too intense and almost aggressive. Staring at the dog through his sunglasses. Definitely needs to relax and enjoy more. Caesar was spot on with his remarks.
I mean yes, but it’s learning process, he stated that in the past he never had a dog like this, and ceaser was just showing how he can be more caring and gentle, no need to hate on him for who he is.
The fact that Cesar had to ask Nate to smile.. I really really try not to judge but this was very difficult to watch. All the best on your journey, I can tell he’s trying and frustrated after many months but I hope he can find that calm and gentle energy somewhere inside him
Watched the whole thing and Nate saying "This is huge. Thank you." at the end brought a tear to my eye. For whatever life events or reasons, he essentially became a human statue. I hope Nate keeps working to nurture his softer, compassionate side. He's got my respect for beginning the process.
Former military here. It would’ve been horrible serving under someone like this guy. Stuck in his own way and too arrogant to genuinely absorb feedback, which brings down the team. Holding a grudge against a dog is extremely immature.
Cesar Millan can totally tell this guy is a total psychopath. I hope she gets all his clues. Trying to call him out for lacking empathy and emotions, and sensitivity.
All the comments are right on! Nate has an attitude that sucks. Cesar figured him out right away and Nate didn’t like much. I feel for his girlfriend. The therapy was for both of them.
I think that’s why the guy was so quiet all episode he didn’t like Caesar calling him out on what he was doing wrong and he usually yells and gets aggressive when that happens so he just got quiet and uptight about it instead. It’s the guys energy that’s messing with this dog.
The girlfriend as soon as Cesar told him to chill and smile her face changed and started to look anxious. She knew Nate was not taking that in a good way. RUN GIRL, RUN! As a matter of fact go to a meeting for abused women and they will open your eyes and might end up saving your life.
I think the biggest thing that's getting in between Ara and Nate is Nate's pride. When he said "I get frustrated because she wants to be with my gf more than with me" ... that's a selfish (yet understandable) emotion to have and it's getting in the way of his calmness and patience, which Ara absolutely needs. Sometimes we get stuck in thinking what that dog can do for us instead of what we can do for them... even if for a while we won't get anything in return.
Lol exactly. I'm surprised he's willing to say she shits allover instead of poops all over to Caesar Milan. Also, he expects her to be the same with other dogs he experienced with.
Yeah. I mean, it’s her dog. Of course Ara picks the girlfriend over him. That guy is a mess internally. Hiding himself with sunglasses, tattoos, crossed arms.
26:56 Cesar: “Just give me a little bit taste of you being relaxed and happy go lucky.” Nate: “I’m relaxed. She’s doing what I expect of her.” Cesar: “Holy Shit.” 😂😂
I see people making comments about the smiling part but I think Cesar was just trying to impart that celebrating the little successes and expressing joy helps to bring the calm energy and is important. Nate seems like he’s quite intense at times and that can be intimidating. But he’s showing up for Ara and Remi and their little pack which shows he’s trying to create space for her in their family. At the end of the day what a huge success! So happy to see that Nate was able to pet, walk, and be near Ara! I hope that moving forward Cesar’s guidance will open up Ara and Nate’s relationship and help integrate Ara into the pack. 💯💯💯
Or....maybe he just wanted to ne on the show because he was rude and was not interested in what Cesar had to say. He was on his phone and didn't had the decency to remove his sunglasses and if my mother would have seen him chewing gum while talking to a person she would have smack him in the arm and told him to take of his glasses, throw away the gum and get his damn hands out of his pockets. But this idiot has no manners or common sense.
I don't like this guy at all. He seems to be incapable of assuming himself. He is constantly blaming the dog. She this, she that. This is kind of guy " look what you make me do".... Dear lady, be careful, tomorrow it might be you!
I just wish Cesar had offered to take the dog into his pack for good, she's being mentally abused by this Nate. He looked really pissed that Cesar won Ara over straight away, it was almost like I can't get her 'normal' so Cesar won't. What an ego 🙄
Nate does not have the bearing of a Marine. He hunches his shoulders forward and neck down, in an aggressive posture. He is not a leader. A leader leads with respect and dignity, not force.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s only claiming to be a marine or if he was, that he was dishonourably discharged. I hope he’s taken a long, hard look at himself after this and I hope his girlfriend has reassessed her life choices too.
Him being on his phone while Cesar was teaching was so frustrating 🤦🏽♀️ Like he didn’t need Cesar’s advice but clearly what he’s been doing with the dog hasn’t been working.
@@jgarcia4721 Nope, seems pretty obvious he got a notification on his phone at about 6 minutes, pulled his phone out of his pocket at that time, and started texting. At 7:15 he apparently finished so he put the phone back in his pocket.

I would love to see Nate let his guard down! He seemed so intensely uncomfortable. I hope they can start to love and trust each other. What a great job Cesar did in his training/teaching. 👏🏻
Wow! Ara is SUCH a beautiful dog but her fear is palpable...as is Nate’s frustration. BUT when Cesar told Nate to imagine it’s his daughter, I cried! I think Nate could really be the one to make Ara feel safe in the world again. I felt like you could see the wheels turning in Ara’s mind and even seemed slightly comforted by Nate’s presence in certain moments. Wow what a great perspective Cesar. She’s jaded just like he is, but I think after seeing this they both have it in them and they both want it.
And stop crossing his arms. The fact he walked ahead of them in the end speaks volume what he thought about the whole session. Not surprised he didn't hold leash to walk Ara in the end.
@@guyadamniederhauser2998 that he has treated this poor dog badly? That he wouldn't listen to Cesar? Kept repeating the same behavior ( Head down..etc) I'm trying to muster sympathy.. I only have sympathy for the dog... The girl? She's on her own if she wants to be around this control freak.
If you look at ara, almost after 0:16 in 0.5× speed, you can see ara stopped at the stairs trying to look ahead and nathan kicked the dog to go ahead. If he can kick the dog on camera, no wonder why the dog is so terrified of him
I loved this. I watched it in pieces because Ceasar is full of so much good information. As someone who is very critical of the way other people raise their dogs and cats like they're pets, I love the way you and Nate have built your "pack"--and everything on IG shows that. I love that no one has given up--for all the effort and time you've put in, this beautiful experience seems well deserved. So glad to see the improvement and just the way you guys love all your pets and each other. Thank you for sharing this video and sharing it so honestly!
When you have insecurities, Becoming Marines, having tattoos and being fit is not gonna fix it, it covers it but it pops up the places like this, Nate does need help more than Ara ...
I usually love watching Ceasar work with a dog, but this bf is so frustrating to watch!! He doesn't seem interested in "learning" & it appears he doesn't appreciate taking a back seat to a dog! (Especially one he couldn't "control"!)... Guess the dog is a great judge of character based on his disinterested and rude behavior. I am sad for Ara, she really needs (deserves) someone who cares about her not cares about himself and adding her to his list of "conquered" dogs... maybe he is a nice guy off camera, but this video is too tough to watch, I hope it works out for the dog.
Probably in his mind : alpha males don't smile. smiling is for the weak. the dog is the problem not me. I'm the alpha, she should listen to me just because and I'm not gonna reward that. Big ego, big muscles, small EQ. Nothing alpha about that.
Because Nate can't stroke his ego by taking the credit for lovely Ara's breakthrough. He didn't like Ceasar doing what he couldn't do because he isn't willing to invest. He's out of his mind, not Ara. It's a wonder he didn't float away with his big head filling with steam. Look at her face when he insisted on Ara being "dominated" by him. That she'd have to be his dog, not her dog. Ceasar respectfully handed him his ass in his hat with sunglasses on.
Wise Cesar says dogs only tell the truth. Ara is reflecting back to Nate how he feels deep inside or his energy, something that he wasn’t even aware about. She is showing him that he needed work on these. I really love how Cesar trains owners. He’s so wise. He’s saving all of them as a pack
It's amazing to see how patient and caring you are with Ara! She's absolutely gorgeous. Well done for sticking with her and not giving up on her! This world needs more people like you! ♥️ ♥️
I think it's a defense mechanism. He's never had a dog actively reject his affection, and choose another person over him. I get it, the kitty my partner and I adopted chose his as her safe person and it hurt when she would only hiss at me. I think he's sweet down to the core, maybe rough around the edges. But I saw him trying with Ara once Cesar broke through his walls.
His energy is so off. He’s probably aggressive with her, the girl needs to make sure he’s not being rough with Ara. The dude is totally not understanding of aras behavior. Even when the Great Dane cane over he was like ew about it. Tf. That’s their turf. Who the hell says that’s my dog to someone else’s dog that doesn’t even like you? Omg girl run
Aggressive with who the dog or the girlfriend? IMHO there’s been COuNTLESS yelling and screaming matches because that’s what you get with a guy like this that is so Narcisisstic and aggressive I guarantee the yelling and overall bad energy coming from him is why this dog hates him, I almost didn’t want the dog to submit to this guy because she doesn’t deserve to submit to a guy like this who just wants control to feel his narcissistic tendencies
@@mariejacobsen3974 hes on film often and he seems to be in a stable healthy relationship and his intentions with the dogs appear to be pure. I know some pretty wicked people so yes, I would say hes great. :)
Nate needs an attitude detox, lol. Poor dog. The Marine Corps doesn't mean you're a bad ass or a natural leader, just makes you obnoxious if you don't keep it in check. He didn't even remove his hat or sunglasses! Rude. Cesar has read him cover to cover. Dogs > people most times.
While I’m not arguing your position, it’s difficult to transition from the military back to civility. It takes a lot of introspective work. I hope Caesar helped this guy understand
Nate is performance driven, and has likely only been rewarded for results. Emotion has been seen as weakness, but now emotion is the route to results and he has never been on that path before. He will take Cesar's guidance and try to let that model be an example to follow. Nate, if you ever read this, I have faith in you. ❤️
I’m new here, just wondering why you would leave your dog with Nate for 1 week knowing she was terrified of him (literally shitting herself in his presence). I can see maybe for a few hours so they can slowly build trust, but an entire week? Not to mention she was so terrified she couldn’t bring herself to eat. Just here to understand. His demeanor, tone, and body language scream controlling and insecure.
this makes me the happiest. Nate is the best for trying so hard everyday to get this bond with ara. I wish u guys the best and i’m just so happy you guys didn’t give up.
Does anyone else feel like Ara is the perfect dog for Nate and vice versa! They each have something the other needs ♥️
I feel the same. Like Cesar says sometimes you get the dog you need not the dog you want!
So true! I think Ara will bring out the gentle side of Nate and Nate will bring out the lost confidence that I'm sure Ara once had ❤️
I actually felt same. Nate needs Ara. Ara needs Nate. And I couldn’t watch without crying 😭I’m looking forward to see next chapter about Ara’s story!!!!
This!
Right!
His reaction Wien César per Ara. So much signs in his body.

Cesar shattered his fragile masculinity low key
maybe shattered but maybe redefined and expanded. You know?
It was a good reality check, he is just in shock to realize that he is not an expert or master like he thought he was.
Lol. Right, he straight up emasculated this guy.
That's it right there!!!
C S Hunter that would be awesome if thats the case
It’s clear he doesn’t like the dog, and wasn’t invested in helping her. On his phone when Cesar was giving advice, no celebration when the dog started to relax, and he even walked off alone at the end of the session. No wonder the dog was petrified.
Ara came into his Girlfriend’s life for a reason. It will b her biggest mistake in her life if she doesn’t Dump him big time. Everything happens for a reason. A blessing in disguise! It’s not just on National ....... need I say more!

The tone of voice, the way he speaks and the body language gives away so much.
people like that want to project that in order to feel respected. BUT IN REALITY it is weakness
I would be afraid of him too
I’m only half way through the video so maybe I’m missing something he does later, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it aggression 🤔 he doesn’t have the “forwardness” of aggression… his chest is more caved rather puffed out, he’s hugging himself tightly 99% of the time, he’s “protecting” himself with huge muscles and tattoos (it’s like he’s protecting himself through other people’s perceptions).
Past is past!
that guy is not learning. his ego is blocking himself from listening to Cesar. He treats the dog as his slave, not a pet.
true!
He's definitely a bully. He's over doing it because he's really weak inside and doesn't want others to see it.
I couldn’t agree with you more and Cesar make him look like a stupid little boy
if you notice at 06.00 min he moves away from that black dog, he doesn't even want to pet the dog. dog was trying to get close to him
He’s a Marine corp vet, that’s all that needs to be said. He’s not a bully he’s the person you want with you if shit ever hit the fan, different lifestyle, different breed
This guy needs to meditate or something. His energy is too forceful.

@@yvonneost12 maybe that is why I dont like his voice tone either.

Genna Bennetts right! Whenever Cesar told him to do something a certain way he went back to doing it the way he already did it
Yes, he said "when I force her to be with me" not something more like "when I want to be with her". Ara isn't feeling that he wants to be with her but like she HAS to be with him. Yucky feeling. Same in a relationship with people. It's not about dominating another being. It's about leading and loving.

My husband is a former Marine and is always smiling, very approachable and doesn't walk around like Robocop thinking he needs to control anyone. Specially a defenseless little girl like Ara.
Is it just me or does Cesar feel like a therapist for people as much as he is for dogs?
Oh definitely. Sometimes the people are the bigger problem. He has to put more into rehabilitating the people than the dogs.

Nate you’re the problem so fix it
As Cesar says, “there are no bad dogs, just bad owners.”
I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s an abuser of his girlfriend, and that’s one reason why the dog hates him.
agree; I feel so bad for that dog

Nate seems super stand-off ish. Checking his phone and all that. His energy and attitude is all wrong for that dog.
I believe he wanted to record and try to study it after.

He's way too tense and has negative energy. I just don't like that guy whatsoever
Fredelin * AMEN TO THIS!! poor guy.. needs to get a grip):
As Nate sat in the background he nudged one of Caesar’s dogs with his Elbow then stands up. Not good energy at all. Timing 6:02 the dog needs patience and calm energy. If he’s like that on camera with a dog that’s not even his. Can’t imagine what that dog felt being left alone with him for a week! Omg

Yeh well it’s more complex than that though, she hated Cesar as well. Cesar luckily is a true intuitive, he gets animals more than any trainer or breeder I’ve ever seen. He’s amazing.
you dont know annyeonghaseyo? lmao
YES! he looks a little on the egocentric side and not used to failure. Dogs are very good judges of character and Ara can really sense something about Nate.
The boyfriend thinks his training comes in to play with this baby and it doesnt
The boyfriend is the problem he is aggressive with this dog because he isn’t used to failure since he’s worked with other dogs because! He needs to throw out all he knows because the dog needs to see he isn’t a threat
“She’s doing what I expect of her.” 26:59 Ew...her bf is gross. Girl, get yourself someone new! Smh
And Cesar was like "Holy shit" lol
This was the comment that bothered me the most and there were a lot of bad ones
No Nate is doing what Ara expects him to do
Does your guy even like dogs? Or just ones he feels he can make submit? Even at 6:09 when that sweet Great Dane comes over to him, he wants nothing to do with it. Dog lovers are all about petting some dogs.
And he just goes on his phone and pushes the Great Dane away 😞

He wasn't even listening to Cesar half the time on his phone and next worrying about if he had a tough posture, it was exhausting to watch.. he's more worried about gym, he should focus on the cold hard unforgiving bars that he can demand control over.

There's definitely something wrong with the dog, but his attitude didn't help at all
@Shining Dove so there's something wrong with the dog right? Stop sugarcoating bad behavior.
Even Cesar told us to not care about the past or the future, just work with the present. The present says the dog have issues, correct? And the man's attitude doesn't help at all.
@Shining Dove the cause doesn't come from her boyfriend, the cause came before that. The boyfriend just didn't help.
@Shining Dove is there something wrong with the dog or not?
Is the man attitude helping or not?

Cesar knows exactly what cause this poor dog to such stage and still handled the situation perfectly. I respect Cesar.
Remi,
You were perfectly authentic, transparent, open, flexible and willing.

Yep! Aggressive, no patience. God help that dog.
“After this you master sensitivity” 👏🏻 loving the lesson in the importance of feminine energy
"feminine" energy. hate when people label emotions or state of mind as gender-specific,
@@robertzsombok7661 I hear you. How would you suggest it be labelled instead?
I find it incredibly impolite that he doesn't take off his sunglasses. That to me says it all.
his eyes make him look like a baby, that's why
When the dog does something good - Nate has no emotion towards her
I would like to see a follow-up on this episode
I was wondering why he was wearing caps and sunglasses working with a scared dog. Why did noone tell him to take it off? It makes his face so dark and impossible to read. My dog is also afraid of men, but men with hats are like the devil to him, so i always tell people to take their hats off and just relax and look away. It always works, everytime.
It looks like Nate tries so hard to maintain his macho behavior which includes not smiling and not showing his eyes lol
All the best on your journey, I can tell he’s trying and frustrated after many months but I hope he can find that calm and gentle energy somewhere inside him
GET RID OF NATE, GRUMP THAT DOESN'T LIKE TO SMILE, I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU AND ARA, GET A NEW FELLA GIRL YOU DESERVE BETTER.
Watched the whole thing and Nate saying "This is huge. Thank you." at the end brought a tear to my eye. For whatever life events or reasons, he essentially became a human statue. I hope Nate keeps working to nurture his softer, compassionate side. He's got my respect for beginning the process.
Your man is younger, taller and more fit and what else, but Cesar is still more man than him just by the way he acts
Love the other dogs sitting in her crate with her like "it's okay Ara!"
Kendra Duff I know, how cute!
Nate is jealous of Cesar, there is no love for the dog, he is just talking about himself his ego I hope Ara can stay with Cesar
why 😐 the woman is doing great the guy just has his own issues
“Doing what I expect of her?”
Oh good god!
Not everyone, who is not in his energy, must be a serious psycho. Everyone of us can sometimes have an unsupportive energy.
Narcissist
All the comments are right on! Nate has an attitude that sucks. Cesar figured him out right away and Nate didn’t like much. I feel for his girlfriend. The therapy was for both of them.
Why do you feel for the girlfriend?? She is her own fool for being with the loser.
Sometimes we get stuck in thinking what that dog can do for us instead of what we can do for them... even if for a while we won't get anything in return.
pride. u r spot on. i was looking for what it was, u r right, it is pride
Lol exactly. I'm surprised he's willing to say she shits allover instead of poops all over to Caesar Milan. Also, he expects her to be the same with other dogs he experienced with.
Ask not what your dog can do for you. Ask what you can do for your dog 🐶
Yeah. I mean, it’s her dog. Of course Ara picks the girlfriend over him. That guy is a mess internally. Hiding himself with sunglasses, tattoos, crossed arms.
Helps his fragile ego by dominating dogs and his GF.
26:56 Cesar: “Just give me a little bit taste of you being relaxed and happy go lucky.”
Nate: “I’m relaxed. She’s doing what I expect of her.”
Cesar: “Holy Shit.”
😂😂
Cesar working hard on Nate so Ara can feel safe and happy. Cesar knows what's up.
Dear lady, be careful, tomorrow it might be you!
that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking the whole video!
@@AleMaia the same for me. I was thinking, take Ara and leave sweet lady
True!!
Me, too. I hope she understands she can't *save* him. I don't want to watch Crime Stop Daily featuring them.
Totally agree, I think he's a bully both the dog and his girlfriend are tense and anxious
I just wish Cesar had offered to take the dog into his pack for good, she's being mentally abused by this Nate. He looked really pissed that Cesar won Ara over straight away, it was almost like I can't get her 'normal' so Cesar won't. What an ego 🙄
Cesar is an animal
Abuser. Look it up. Kicking a dog isn’t training. Look up Cesar kicks and animal cruelty
@@Juggalettex1312x he kicked a dog that was attacking him and had latched onto his arm and even then it was barely a tap.
The other dogs are funny!! Their look on their eyes! LMAO 😄😆🤣
@@Juggalettex1312x lmfao get your facts right
Nate does not have the bearing of a Marine.
The dude is so unaware of his physical presence and movements. Great lesson from Cesar.
Him being on his phone while Cesar was teaching was so frustrating 🤦🏽♀️ Like he didn’t need Cesar’s advice but clearly what he’s been doing with the dog hasn’t been working.
Complete disrespect from Nate!
Seems pretty obvious he was recording Cesar's lesson, not playing on his phone
@@jgarcia4721 Nope, seems pretty obvious he got a notification on his phone at about 6 minutes, pulled his phone out of his pocket at that time, and started texting. At 7:15 he apparently finished so he put the phone back in his pocket.
LOL that llama just outta no where 😂
I thought that was the funniest part and lost it when he said ".. Lorenzo!" Hahaha
Then also when he’s like oh he’s a vegetarian then Lorenzo sniffed her(the dog in training) and didn’t attack he was like “see vegetarian” 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I laughed so hard
I would love to see Nate let his guard down! He seemed so intensely uncomfortable. I hope they can start to love and trust each other. What a great job Cesar did in his training/teaching. 👏🏻
Caesar calls this man 'my friend', just a definitely right clue who's the true "enemy" here :)
Caesar is a saint. He also teaches life lessons! God bless you Caesar!
Yes he is so kind! It was so nice to work with him!
Maybe he could also take his sunglasses off to connect
And stop crossing his arms. The fact he walked ahead of them in the end speaks volume what he thought about the whole session. Not surprised he didn't hold leash to walk Ara in the end.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍✔️

He feels rejected. He feels broken. He's hurt. Have some sympathy.
That cameraman looks like a Disney princess with the bird and animals around him :D I love the video!!!
At one point the bird was on his head!! sooo cute! and the llama Lorenzo was the bestttt
If you look at ara, almost after 0:16 in 0.5× speed, you can see ara stopped at the stairs trying to look ahead and nathan kicked the dog to go ahead. If he can kick the dog on camera, no wonder why the dog is so terrified of him
I think this is the first comment addressing this and I thought you were overreacting but omg he really kicks her, more poeple should talk about this
I loved this.
Cesar is wonderful.
She needs to take her pup and move on, this bf is a bully
He doesn’t even smile when they have a break through he doesn’t care
Yes, very strange he didn't seem pleased at all by this giant breakthrough.
Probably in his mind :
alpha males don't smile. smiling is for the weak. the dog is the problem not me.
@@deborahsmith8925 Yeah that was strange when he said he wanted to take over HER dog!
Exactly...
“I’m relaxed” “holy shit...” LOL
Right
Yeah he doesn't know what relaxed is yet. He thinks he knows, but he doesn't really. Because he hasn't gotten there yet.
Imagine if he wasn’t relaxed .. especially when he was forcing her to be with him 😳
yeah Cesar's reaction was priceless
He doesn’t seem like he wants to learn anything or teach the dog anything seems like he just wants it his way
Agreed
He just wants to dominate.
Totally! The way he is standing, the sunglass & hat also texting while he should be paying attention to what Cesar is teaching them!
I think it's a defense mechanism. He's never had a dog actively reject his affection, and choose another person over him. I get it, the kitty my partner and I adopted chose his as her safe person and it hurt when she would only hiss at me. I think he's sweet down to the core, maybe rough around the edges. But I saw him trying with Ara once Cesar broke through his walls.
that boyfriend seems pissed that Ara is letting Cesar pet her.
Also, I'm here for the pomeranian!
Just wonderful. What a beautiful teaching. Thank you Cesar
And he was asking Cesar if it was ok to take his gfs dog. Ignoring his gf who was right there! So many red flags!
This guy is making me nervous the way he talks, moves and everything else. He needs to relax, he walks and talks like a robot
that dog is going to teach that male owner, some humility. He's a great guy, but he really really needs to relax....
is he a great guy tho? I don't know him but I really don't like his attitude or energy in this video
@@mariejacobsen3974 hes on film often and he seems to be in a stable healthy relationship and his intentions with the dogs appear to be pure. I know some pretty wicked people so yes, I would say hes great. :)
I don’t think he’s a great guy. I think he’s a dick !!! The girlfriend needs to move on.
Nate is too cocky
Man this guy is stubborn. I'm glad Cesar was able to help. He's so amazing. I only wish I could have him help my family.
Nate is performance driven, and has likely only been rewarded for results. Emotion has been seen as weakness, but now emotion is the route to results and he has never been on that path before. He will take Cesar's guidance and try to let that model be an example to follow. Nate, if you ever read this, I have faith in you. ❤️
The human needs rehabilitating, Nate is a work in progress.
Nate is a douchebag!
Nate might look like a strong guy, but he is actually pretty weak. He is weak at being calm. It’s harder to be calm 🙏🏻 then strong 💪🏻.
Caesar is very diplomatic the way he talks to the humans. ❤
I always remember Cesar saying that you have a conversation with your dog through the leash. It's all about energy. Perfectly demonstrated here.
I think this girl needs to leave this man behind. What he has is not confidence it’s a need to intimidate and control
When he said "I'm relaxed... IF SHE'S DOING WHAT I EXPECT OF HER" that was the biggest red flag.
The bf body language says it all. The girl needs to realize that she's either gonna have him or Ara cuz he doesn't wanna change. He isn't listening
this makes me the happiest. Nate is the best for trying so hard everyday to get this bond with ara. I wish u guys the best and i’m just so happy you guys didn’t give up.
Even Cesar had enough of this guys attitude and excuses at 18:55.
Great to see Ara respond to Cesar. I cant take my eyes off Cesars Pom, so beautiful!
