Hi Cathy and Drew, another great adventure, 👍 WOW! Love that teal stopper, amazing find, well done Cathy. Some really nice bottle finds too, always a shame about heartbreakers, see you on your next one 😀
Hi Dave! That stopper definitely wins the popularity contest this video (judging by the comments!) That was the best thing I found that day.. I was really frustrated!! Some days are like that. Drew found some nice bottles though. And that broken milk was a rare one!! We kept it anyway. There are almost always a few heartbreakers, but that just gets us searching all the more! -Cathy 🧐😀
@Mass River Pickers We always find that the rare ones are the ones always broken, but the plane bottles or jars always come out whole, except on the odd occasion that it finds a rare one is whole, lol 😄
Oh my goodness, Loved the teal stopper, the 1901 pin and the beautiful shards, and the embossed bottles. That locations looks so peaceful in spite of the mosquitos. Take care.👏😀👍
Yes, quite peaceful. The neighbors next door are very quiet (Cemetery) 🙄😬
BTW, tonight's video is up! We found a ton of stuff, day before Thanksgiving, at the beach! Bottles, marbles etc. You can get a sneak peek at some of the finds on our Community Page. 😁😀🦃🦃🐇🐇
Research is always the best part about this hobby! Nice finds!
Thanks Robert!😁😀👍
You two are awsome! Greetings from Finland.
Thank you so much!!💖 Glad you are enjoying our channel! Wow, Finland! Another country heard from! Thanks for watching and commenting! 😃😎👍
Those were definitely great finds. Love the stopper. Thank you for taking us along.
Your welcome! Our pleasure to take you along. 🙂😎💖
Hello 👋 from New York you Guy's Found Some Amazing Finds my Favorite Definitely Was the Teal Bottle Stopper the Clay Pipe Bowl and the 1901 Pin Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's I can't wait to see What you Find Next 😊
Hi Tarra! The teal stopper appears to be the winner! (If you read the comments) and it was a surface find! (That seems to be what I do best.. surface hunting). Glad you enjoyed the hunt! -Cathy😁💖
Hi Cathy and Drew. What wonderful finds! Love the bottles and pipe bowl but the best has to be the teal stopper, what a beauty! 😃💗 x
Hi Amanda! That stopper was my best find. Not only is it teal, but it's big and has a nice shape to it! We don't know what bottle it belonged too?? 🤔🙄 I wonder if the bottle is still there somewhere? So I got three hrs sleep and then went marble hunting today! (And then lost my best marble find!😭) But it was still a successful trip. I hate when I lose my marbles (so does Drew 😬) Not sure when that outing will go up. Thanks again for checking in on us this morning! 🙂💖
@@massriverpickers I lost my marbles years ago, I've yet to find them 😂💗 x
Hi Cathy & Drew, Neat Finds, hope ya find more at that spot🙋♀️
That place is hit or miss. I struck out for bottles that day, but I love the teal stopper! This dump has been dug before, so it's a matter of finding pockets that were missed. -Cathy🙂
Cool finds. I like how you show what you found out about the items right after.
Hi John, thanks for watching and commenting. I don't think our audience can appreciate a find if they don't know what it is. Even broken pieces of bottles are fun and exciting for us. I don't wait until the end of the video, cuz when I watch other people's videos, I always want to know right away! -Cathy😁😎
Hello Cathy and Drew. We enjoyed watching this video and we see you had some nice finds at the Mosquito dump. The Chelmsford spring water bottles are nice and the green one you found is a awesome bottle! Thank you again for the donation and you will be getting something from us in the mail. We had a really nice Thanksgiving with friends and family and we hope you did to. Lew and I hope to find the time to do a dig soon and with good weather. We are hoping to get a better van next year and this white one we have needs some repairs. Getting to out of hand to,,LOL! We are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Hope you are doing well and we are doing fine. Take care and happy hunting to the both of you.----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew.)
Hi Jeff & Lew, Glad you enjoyed the video. And glad we could help you! Hope your housing problem is solved now. We had a great Thanksgiving, just the two of us, and 27 wild turkeys! (Photo on our community page) Did you get the email we sent you on 11/20/22? Do you still have the same aol address as you gave us a year or so ago? We look forward to digging with you! But Drew is having minor surgery this Thursday, and he will not be able to dig or do any heavy lifting for two weeks. 😕 🩹🙄 But if not now, (digging) there's always next spring. -Cathy & Drew
Yay!
Yay! I can go to bed now! (For 3 hrs)🥱
Awesome finds. Congrats and thanks for sharing. 👍
You're welcome! 😀😎👍
The Griffin bottle has my maiden last name, how cool! Love the stopper, Cathy, it's gorgeous. The celluloid pin is a nice find, and I love pottery shards. Such a fun hunt!💖
Hi Cynthia, We actually have two of those little Griffin bottles. Would you like one for Christmas? 🙂 😀
Awesome finds 👍,
Always a great show to watch !! Good luck 🍀 y'all !!
Thank you!!! We never know what we will find (or if we will find anything at all worth showing) but we take you along anyway! And we are often surprised by at least one thing we find per outing. Thanks for watching and commenting!
-Cathy😁😴
I always like the meds, nice! The stopper is a beautiful color, would it have fit a Rumford? 1901 is about the time of Franklin Roosevelt's reign. Nice finds! See ya on your next video, Good Luck!
Hi There! The stopper is quite large. Too large for a Rumford. As for the 1901 pin, Drew suggested maybe it was to wear on New Year's Eve. That seems reasonable, but we're not sure. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😀😴
The show stopper is definitely the stopper...pun intended, sorry I've been watching too many Mass River Pickers vids:) You had some nice finds...love the medicines and the button. Thanks for sharing:)
Hi Kathi, Drew did o.k. for bottles that day, but I gave up digging and went larking (surface hunting). That is how I found the show stopper of a stopper!
Pun appreciated! 😂😀👍
♥️the shopper
The stopper saved the day for me! I struck out on bottles that day. -Cathy🙄
@@massriverpickers ♥️
Nice finds again. It struck me that the pottery is much clearer than river finds, which would be expected, but, also clearer than other dump finds in other areas.
Oh, the river finds are terrible to clean! (Depending on the location) Yes, the bottles and china from this site are pretty clean. Less work for me! -Cathy😁😴
Hi Dolls 👋 how did I miss this one,?
We try to get our videos up every Friday night, but last week it went up Sat morning. Glad you caught it! 😁💖
Thank you!
Please show us on RUclips your whole collection someday. I think it would be cool! Peace Out from Louisiana
Hi Robert, show our WHOLE collection?😂 We literally have thousands of bottles! It's like living in a messy museum! (And right now, I do not want to show the mess!) But maybe we could show one section at a time?? (We live in our collection.. it's everywhere, by category: meds, flasks, beers, sodas, figurals, milks, foods, inks, perfumes, stoneware bottles and jugs, marbles, toys, clay pipes, etc. ) I hope to get the collection a bit more presentable this winter, including installation of a UV shelf for the glowing glass! We have boxes of stuff to put away from this summer too. Where will it all go??🤔😬 Thank you for the suggestion. I know other viewers want to see "the collection" too! We occasionally do show & tell vids, by subject. We could also post still pic's on our community page, I suppose. -Cathy🙂
Purportedly T. D. was Thomas Dade whose son was an 18th century American soldier (on our side) and lived in Dogtown. I wonder what his English pipe making pop thought of that 🙃 Maybe he went to fight at Louisburgh can't recall. Nice Canton blue and white shard. That's where the English copied blue Willow from. Cheers!
Hi Kenneth, Apparently TD pipes go back a long way. Interestingly, most of our TD pipes say McDOUGALL and GLASGOW or SCOTLAND on them. I don't know why we don't find more English pipes. I have heard that eventually the "TD" came to represent a type or style of clay pipe. I do love the pottery / china pieces as well! Even transferware was originally somebody's art/ design from long ago..
The inspiration of an artist of the past. ( Yes, some definitely copied though, and many pieces were mass produced for export). Lots of Blue Willow out there, but I usually pick it up anyway.. Especially the piece with the birds on it. -Cathy😀🕊️🕊️
I really enjoyed this hunt, that bottle stopper is brilliant. I couldn’t get over that, I have never seen anyone find anything like that. I have watch many larkers , I have seen crystal ones never blue or any other colors. That 1901 pin is great also, wonder where it was from? Would love to know the history on that. Beautiful bottles. Hope your Thanksgiving was good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💗💗💗💗💗
Hi Susan! That stopper was the only descent find I had that day (except for maybe the 1901 pin, which Drew thinks may have been for a New Year's celebration?? ) I would love to find the bottle that belonged to that stopper! Glad you enjoyed the hunt! -Cathy😁💖
The stopper is gorgeous 👏👍 tell us if you have got the photos we sent you on your email 😍😜 Anne & Hélène
Hi There! Yes, I responded to your email Friday. Maybe check your junk/spam folder?? I will email pic's of the finds once they are all cleaned and sorted. I love your display of bones and shells, and shelf of bottles! As I said in my email, be careful with the crucifix shell.. the glue (tacky wax) is not permanent! You may want to glue it down a little better.. but handle it very carefully! We really enjoyed our time out with you Wednesday. Hopefully that video will be up next week! -Cathy😃💖
Someone was doing drugs at that 1901 badge spot
Quite likely! All those deep aqua slick meds were probably all the same med, possibly laudanum (which contained opium). And the Castoria (laxative) would treat the side effects.
@@massriverpickers 😁
It looked like arrow head next to u. Was it?
I didn't see one, but I wasn't looking. We (here in Massachusetts) are not allowed to hunt/ collect Native American artifacts anyway. We would have to leave it. 🏹
Outstanding video.Really enjoyed the editing and expert commentary. Them finds are really cool. Thanks for all that you do.Good luck to you and Drew.Be safe on your next adventure. From the Philippines 🙏☕🍩🧑🎄🎄🗽🇺🇸💯
