Red Dots Can Fail, Gen 2 Way better Option
Buy a $30 flip mount, best of both worlds. That twist fold feature is more likely to break than the fold only feature that has been around over 20 years!
Gen 3 should have came with built in fixed sights. You cannot shoot it accurately without a secondary optics purchase. Gen 2 you can shoot it out of the box.
If you offered to trade me a new Gen 3 for my 3 year old Gen 2, I wouldn't hesitate to keep my Gen 2.

That is a valid point. If you want irons, gen gen 2. If you want optics and suppressor, gen 3 and I would go with micro prism, but a red dot. Some companies make models specifically for 9mm

@@PracticalWeapons my Gen 2 is threaded and can run a suppressor? Mine is a 40S&W

@eclectic3618 how is the recoil on 40? I have never shot a 40 out of long barrel

@@PracticalWeapons I have the buffer ring, and the Otterman Outdoors duel Spare Magazine stock upgrade and the mcarbo tube cover so recoil is not bad at all. I use mine for Hogs mostly on the ranch.

@eclectic3618 I have been considering going hunting here, but current 100+ heat is stopping me.. 7.62x39 is my hog caliber, in AR. I need to get a can and night vision on it, when or if finances allow
