Man cream of wheat is seriously the best thing ever when made on stovetop. I eat it everyday, very good source of iron, and really helps with the gains. Thanks for the video, never thought about putting protein powder and peanut butter in it, sounds good as hell. Gonna have to try that next time I make some
Try it out and tell me how you like it. If you already like cream of wheat on its own, you’ll love this.
this kid is lost bro just made it unhealthy eating peanut butter bro your going to get fat you might as eat mcdonalds at this point your adding so much stuff not worth it man these kids these days lol learn bro, ur ran up your carbs and fat so misleading
I always make mine savory with chicken broth, low cal shredded cheese, hot sauce, and sometimes topped with broccoli. I'll for sure try it this way!
Never thought about savoury cream of wheat but that does sound good. Are you from the south?
With cream of wheat? Or grits?
If you drink coffee, try adding ground cinnamon to the grounds, before brewing a pot.
My Grandmother used to do that with every pot, and not only does it smell uhhhmazing, it tastes soooo good!
I've done this before, cinnamon in coffee is amazing!
Cream of wheat taste so much better when made on stovetop - also replace a quarter of the water with milk
Agreed! It tastes better for sure and if you can spare the time and calories before the gym, why not?
Microwaves are supposed to take away nutrients in our food i would never make my creme of wheat in a Microwave
Or almond milk. Less sugar!
@@thenotoriousko6872 - microwaves don’t take away any nutrients. That’s a myth.
@@XxRosexX96 But they do add a little cancer, which is not a myth. In any case, if you can avoid using a microwave, it's always best to do so.
This really is so good! Don’t get me wrong I love oatmeal but it’s good to mix it up. I use Malt O Meal sometimes too it has a different flavor from the malted barley in it. Cream of rice is also good!
"For those of you crushing peanut butter... maybe that's why you can't lose any weight.." 😭😂😂
I tell it like how it is lol
That looks amazing with the ingredients you put in it .
I use PB and Ovaltine. With the Ovaltine and cream of wheat, it is a ton of vitamins and nutrients. PB is for protein and it mixes well. Okay amount of protein but lots of iron and other vitamins. It's like Reese's cereal but good for you. Takes 5-10 to prepare
Never thought to use whip cream on cream of wheat looks tasty I will have to try it I use milk in mines and it’s taste great I know whip cream just like icing on the cake ❤️
Whipped cream is always good haha. We're being indulgent.
Looks so good
🔥🔥🔥
I use almond milk instead of water for my cream of wheat it makes the wheat creamy and it a great source of protein yum and use raw sugar instead of cinnamon
Something interesting I learned today, it takes about 330 gallons of water to grow two pounds of almonds in California, which is where a lot of almond milks in the US source their almonds from.
It takes roughly two pounds of almonds to make half a gallon of almond milk.
So 330 gallons of water go into making half a gallon of almond milk. Thought that was pretty wild.
Almond milk doesn’t have much protein
Good Karma makes an unsweetened flax seed milk with 5g of protein, Silk’s unsweetened soy milk has 7g and Ripple’s unsweetened Pea milk has 7 or 8g (can’t remember). Almond milk has like one gram. There are much better options than almond as far as plant based protein goes.
@@zp944almond milk is a scam
That’s the only way I’ll eat cream of wheat is add ALOT of water and just a little bit of fruit and butter or little sweetener. Maybe some cinnamon. I keep it simple. But I have to have it VERY soupy. Same with my oatmeal. Anyone else eat it soupy instead of thick???
I have to stay hydrated with my medical issues so .
Great source of iron!
Thick for me but hey, if it's what you need, it's what you need!
Nope me too! I love It thin. Sometimes I make it thick and then pour my protein shake on top of it and eat it like cereal.
Damn I used to eat cream of wheat as a kid because I loved the taste, just found out I can replace oatmeal with that, very excited ngl
I'll try it tomorrow!
How was it?!
Great recipe I tried it and it's pretty damn good
Appreciate it, Kermit. Share it with the rest of the Muppets.
Bowl looks like pure gains
Now make yourself a bowl so you can get them gains too!
Some bananas in there 👍🏼
Oh yeah, that sounds good!!
I like cream of wheat over oatmeal any day. 👍👍
I have a few questions if that’s ok. Is Farina the same as creme of wheat? What can I eat after lifting will a protein shake be enough? Can that be my only carb for the day and my later meals be a protein and veggies?
They are pretty similar as they're both made from wheat. I recommend after lifting, you get in quick digesting protein AND CARBS. A protein shake alone won't suffice. If you're trying to put on muscle, you have to be in a calorie surplus. I advocate for a majority of the surplus to come from carbohydrates as they're anabolic. If your goal is to put on more muscle mass, you can't just be eating protein and veggies, the carbs are too low.
@@POWERPHYSIQUE thank you for responding!! So after the gym i can have some rice, chicken breast and a protein shake and that would be ideal?
@@triniD25 Yes, you can have both. I usually have a shake and then about 90 minutes later, I'll be hungry enough to have a full meal since whey digests very quickly which is its main advantage. Eat enough calories and you will grow if you're training hard enough with progressive overload and sleeping enough.
Good stuff!@
Glad you liked it!
Cream of wheat with agave syrup and butter r any kind of syrup is bomb
if you like coconut, the coconut whipped cream from the same brand has lower calories
Dude, I LOVE coconut. I'll keep an eye out for it.
I top my cream of wheat with a5 wagyu steak medium rare. Yum yum
Mad luxurious, I like how you roll
Where did you get your food scale? I bought mine on amazon and its not measuring right . ☹️
I got it on Amazon as well but many years ago. I'm sure you can find a good one, go for the best sellers with the most 4+ star reviews!
I eat plenty of protein, drink 1 gallon of water, but during intense workouts I gas out towards the end (1.5hrs). Should this help?
Protein is not meant to be used as a primary source of fuel for the body. It's for repair. This will definitely help as it is a carb based meal with the fats and protein to slow down the digestion which extends the energy release. You want carbs to fuel your workout is the main take away.
I need to buy that stuff because I had it all the time as a kid. Haven’t had it since. Oatmeal macros are better though as far as the fiber etc
You're right, oatmeal does have more fibre however I'm using cream of wheat because it digests much quicker due to its zero fibre content. I use the peanut butter as a means to slow down the digestion so it's not just quick digesting carbs and whey which is already fast digesting. I have this and immediately make my way to my workout. Oatmeal is definitely king in terms of long term energy though.
@@POWERPHYSIQUE yea oatmeal i feel like it just sits in my stomach after eating and keeps me bloated during the workout while the other digest and no bloat
@@_bigjohn Yup, I like how I can eat this closer to the workout while still feeling lighter. Oatmeal is GOAT when during prep and a cut for the same exact reasons you listed though lol.
Looks great ! minus the tap water 🤪
easy to do
The easier something is to do, the higher the compliance, the better the consistency and thus long term results.
why did he wipe the peanut butter off the spoon and then put the peanut butter and spoon in the same bowl?
Subbed 👍🏼
Appreciate you brother!
You gotta post more man & the recipe is gass on the stove top or microwave I prefer the microwave just because it’s fast and taste about the same
Time is money lol. Shoot me some ideas you wanna see.
Cream of wheat with 2 tbsp of raw honey and 2 tbsp of peanut butter 🔥🔥
That sounds like PURE energy. Love the raw honey.
Sprinkle sugar crystals are gas on cream of wheat
How many calories I’m looking for high calories
If want to make it even more heathier is use the stove not the micro. Yeah micro is good for re heating things up , but to cook or even boil your water for tea or actually take out the nutrients from the food... I just use it to hear Left over pizza or cheese burger o
"And when it rises like that"! It means it's already overcooked. Ladies and gentlemen, boil the water first, then take it out the microwave or off stove, an drop the wheat in. Lmk about how better the texture. 👌👉
This is bomb. Much better than overnight oats for breakfast.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, homie!
And there's more vitamins in cream of wheat than oatmeal.
Where did you get your protein?
www.myprotein.com it's the Impact Whey Isolate. I really like the salted caramel flavour. Best price for quality and quantity. They always have a discount code too so just google it.
I am 195lbs. Should I take this to gain muscle?
It would help. You need to be training hard enough (enough volume, progressive overload), eating enough (enough calories and protein), and sleeping enough (7-8 hours every night). This will take care of the calories and protein portion.
@@POWERPHYSIQUE Thank you so much for the project tip. I will do that
Do you Refer this more than cream of rice?
I’m in Canada so we don’t have cream of rice commercially available. I would definitely use cream of rice if we had it here. Recipe would stay the exact same.
Make homemade cream of rice by putting dry rice in nutri bullet or high power blender and blend till it’s micro pulverized.
@@goonsqd77 that's a great idea, have you ever tried it? If so, how does it compare to commercial cream of rice?
@@POWERPHYSIQUE i'm in Canada and you can get cream of rice of another brands.. but this cream of wheat tastes absolutely amazing to me!
@@georgegvelukashvili6097 What's the brand and which supermarket do you get it from? I'll keep an eye out. Haha, really glad you enjoyed it, brother!
can the cream of wheat help with weight gain?
Weight gain is more a matter of total calorie intake throughout a day. Anyone can gain weight, you just have to eat more calories. The finesse is doing it in a way that allows you to get in all those calories in a sustainable weight. I work with a lot hard gainers and guys who have a tough time packing on good weight. Shoot me an email and I can help you out, coach@powerphysique.com
What type of scale do yu use
The brand is Smart Weigh. I bought it off Amazon many years ago.
I make my Cream of Wheat on the stove top, takes 2 1/2 minutes. I add a tablespoon of butter and heavy whipping cream since I'm on Keto, I always thought of this as heavy and would make me throw up before working out... The more you know!
Not heavy at all, cream of wheat has no fibre and since it's grinded up already, it absorbs super quick. I had to add in the fats and protein to slow down the digestion of the carbs (which you need for workouts).
Can you have it as a post workout meal?
You absolutely can. What you want after a workout is fast digesting simple carbs and high protein. You can either reduce the amount of peanut butter or take it out completely.
@@POWERPHYSIQUE awesome and I absolutely love this meal, quick and easy and very good thanks!!
Milk instead of water?
Yes that's fine, it'll probably taste better too. It'll add more calories and nutrients from the milk so if that's what you're after, go for it!
This looks like the shit Oliver ate in Oliver and Company
Never seen it but this is for sure more anabolic lol
Add milk, not water....
bro did a little too much, all i add is brown sugar, but i will try this
Lol why even mention the 1g of carbs in the Splenda when you're literally making a bowl of 100% powdered carbs
The whip cream also helps with fat loss... But when do I add the steroids.. Lol.
Add em in whenever you want lol
