Lee Fleming Jr. The film is a gender-swapped remake of She's All That (1999), which was a modern adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's 1913 play Pygmalion and George Cukor's 1964 film My Fair Lady. As someone who's a senior in high school right now does anyone actually have experiences like this? Like, how can every high school movie be this fucking unrealistic? The guy with the beard deadass looks 25. I mean I guess addison rae and the love interest guy could pass for high schoolers but the rest look practically elderly. I didn't even realize this was supposed to be set in high school until like halfway through the video

There might, emphasis on might, be an explanation for this. In the original Shes all that 90s movie the cast was also in their 20s (I think Freddy jr. was 24 at the time), as were I think all actors portraying teens in movies until recently.
Theres a lot of mostly boring reasons for this ranging from labour laws, to what and how youre allowed to film with minors to finding experienced actors and star power to bring people in to watch etc. But having actual teens portraying teens in movies is a fairly recent thing.
TRUE. I've so many high school movies like this. They pretty much the same. Funny thing actually I am Freshman in Highschool right now but people keep mistaking for a older person. I'm only 15 but I have already grown a full beard. From head to neck below. Its been a trait in my family where my relatives look a lot older from when they were little. My mom was also the same. I started to have a mustache at the age of 10-11 and had a beard when I was 13. I have also been at the doctors office for a checkup and they said my body is similar to an adult male. I am weighing at a current 186 pounds. Im not fat or chunky (not strong either) just heavy. I've met a few others like me which is pretty cool.

I haven't mentioned this yet but like the karaoke scene makes me so mad. The main characters are acting like the popular girls are ass but like... that's karaoke. No one's great. It's kinda like the bravest thing to just go up and enjoy yourself knowing u prolly don't sound like a pop star. And then Addison's character is given some sort of mini save onstage by the douchey love interest?? Like the movie is saying she doesn't deserve to be embarrassed or demeaned (which proves how fake woke the love interest is even more). Don't get me wrong, I'm assuming the popular girls are mean? But like... to show it thru this scene just seems to promote misogyny more than a healthy dislike of a sh*t character?

That actor,Tanner Buchanan, for some reason doesn't send any feelings to me in his characters. It's like, I already know they are acting but he proves it even further. I don't like him at all as an actor.
I liked him in Cobra Kai, although part of that is because he's a walking 90s stereotype that I love to laugh at.
Yeah he definitely gets a pass in cobra Kai and power rangers cause he has that corny 90s style about him, but he is definitely a weak actor. Needs some help with that.
