That’s awesome that the onion can grow all types of pikmin now, including purple and white. I was expecting it to be just red, blue, yellow, rock, and winged pikmin that have onions.
Yeah when I was first introduced to ice pikmin I thought that since you first encounter in caves, that you’d only be able to grow them with candypop buds like purple and white pikmin.
I guess it makes sense for Purple, White and Ice Pikmin to have their own Onions since you can only habe three types of Pikmin out at a time which I assume is due to Oatchi.
Just in case someone was wondering, the duplicate onions are just like the normal onions you find, it's just in case someone doesn't find them, if you already have the normal onion, the extra one will give you 20 Pikmin

Yeah... and it's not just the even more plastic toy-like base of the tendrils, but the fact the colors shifted like the onion was made of holographic glass or something. I really like Pikmin 4's onion design though! The only thing that would make it perfect would be if it had the pattern designs from Pikmin 1 and 2 on the sides.

I still dont like they made duplicate yellow and blues, we get the other types way too far into the game the wing and rock should have been a lot earlier. Only having them be in caves for like 75% of the game it makes it so puzzles in the worlds cant be designed around a lot of them until the very end
They are still good to have since rocks murder without being crushed, and wings take short cuts while murdering anything with a high up weak spot, plus you can use them pretty early if you find them in caves
Since the white and purple unions were made purely for this fantastic colorful convenience. At some point i also want the glow pikmin to have their own union too. Yeah yeah. The Glow's are night exclusive. Well the Purple's and White's were flower exclusive. Until now. In future games they can just make it so Glow's are weak during day. And buffed at night. I want an ultimate colored union! Also. Bring back mushmin bulbmin carrotmin. Ive got an idea for the mushmin and bulbmin. The mushmin can be immune to the panicked scatter effect. And can confuse enemies. Like how the icemin have a bar that circles the enemies health Until complete. And as for the bulbmin. If you confuse bulborbs that are about the same size as otchi and moss. They become pikmin infected and are now allies. But only the otchi/moss sized ones. But... uh... i cant think of any good ideas for the carrotmin... anyone else think of something?
For the timestamps and chapters, the ones that you have as just "Onion" are named "Flarlic". I recommend you changing the name of the timestamps and chapters of them to that, it is less confusing that way.
Just to let you know Oatchi can knock the purple onion off if you ram into the perch it's on. You still need purples to lower the bag blocking the path. You'll need 5 for the first one, 10 for the second one. It's fitting that purple and white onions are found underground in a Sage Leaf Trial, since Purple and white pikmin can only be found underground in a cave anyway. Oatchi can carry the purple onion.
I really wish people posting these videos would only post the first 3 colors of onions on the thumbnails. I rushed to finish the game before I could be spoiled, but videos like this popped up in my feed and spoiled the last 2 colors for me. I wasn’t sure if there was going to be onion for the last 2 and that surprise was annoyingly spoiled.
strongly agree, luckily i wasnt spoiled because i was playing like 15+/h a day and 100%ed the entire game so i wouldnt get spoiled aswell as not going on any social media. but i wouldve been pissed if i saw this video and got spoiled about there being the ice/white/purple onion if i didnt know they were in the game

Nothing in the text really supports Bergman being related to Charlie unlike the others, but they both do call a rubber duck "ducky" and how he always spends time with it, so it could be a hand-me-down or something from Charlie. I personally think this is post pikmin 3 in the same timelime because of some dialogue ill probably explain tomorrow bc its super late rn

Dolphin which was his ship from Pikmin 1 before he lost it in 2, then finds strange creatures he calls Pikmin who help him. This is exactly what happens to him in Pikmin 1, difference is it’s a different planet, and he finds a dog he names Moss, and in his shipwreck tale, instead of returning to Hocate after fixing the Dolphin, he stays because of Moss, but the life support system of his suit runs out and he dies and the Pikmin put him in the Onion turning him into a Leifling, exactly like the bad ending of Pikmin 1

Wow when you get all 8 onions the onion looks drop dead GORGEOUS. Hopefully we get an actual dlc, not pikmin 3's side stories. Its as lame as botw's dlc. The botw dlc's are lame and a waste of money, you get pathetic side missions and a slow motorcycle, you get it in the end, by then you would have a faster horse. Maybe pikmin 4's dlc can return bulbmin and puffmin? Also some new huge zones and bosses? I hope they add bulbmin and puffmin honestly but they prob wont even add a dlc, and it might be like pikmin 3's horrid dlc

Either use Oatchi to drag it out of the water by increasing his dragging power (I forget what it's called in game). You can also use him to nudge it out, although it's a bit tedious. Or, just gather enough Blues from caves to retieve it

Since the game is so non-linear that’s mostly so that you can find them in multiple places and you aren’t just boned if you miss them

When i completed the game i just saw a random rock and yellow onion with the main one(100 percented all areas)

Well the Bulbmin Is not actually a Pikmin, but a young Red Bulborb infested by a Pikmin parasite, so i doubt an Onion of them exists

歐利瑪跟一代一樣要撿完30件零件，只是30天變成15天了，有些零件太高處拿不到零件，原因有些放在高地没路可以上去拿，有些是在海域的高處不知什麼上去呀，如果有視頻攻略就知道什麼過拿完30件零件，過完後才會去隱藏洞穴去拿白色·紫色歐擬蛹，前面30件零件都拿不完過不了呀，放拿紫色.白色歐擬蛹視頻也是拿不到了，原因要求太空船30零件需要撿完才能夠解鎖最後一個隱藏洞穴呀，前面過不了，後面肯定拿不到了，有歐利瑪拿完零件30個视頻就好解決了。

I think you gotta finish olimar challenge (pretty much finding all 30 ship parts like pikmin 1)

@@kaimally220 ah, I'm planning on making a new save file so I can rush to the first ending (unlocking olimar story mode) so I can get both endgame onions quite early haha
