My Church split from another church in 1852. The reason for the split was noted as the old light/new light issue. We are one of the few Presbyterian churches that has a annual revival.
The more I learn of church history (specifically pertaining to the Presbyterians), I find myself strongly preferring a Presbyterianism with the least influence from pietistic movements and experientialism.
These sound like issues particular to Presbyterian churches due to their position on ecclesiology and sacramentology. It doesn't sound like it would be an issue with Baptist churches which have congregationalist polity and credobaptist convictions regarding the sacrament of baptism. But that doesn't mean that Baptist Churches are without possible controversies due to their positions, as well.
Love these videos.
