As a horsewoman, that's gut wrenching. The imagery of a dead horse, in a halter with fresh food & water.... I truly hope the living horses got the help they so desperately needed 😢
Yeah, it's really a waste of good meat. Edit: Before I get blasted, yes, many cultures eat horses in extreme moderation. So I'm just saying that they should be put out of their misery at that point, from the sound of it, and be at least utilized so as to not waste anything. Okay, now you may proceed to criticize me, if you so wish. *shrug*
Thank you for sharing your story. That was very heartbreaking and disturbing as well I hope they all got the help they desperately needed. I was thinking the whole time she either had dementia or some form of mental issues. Hope you and your wife are doing well!
That was legitimately the saddest and most heartbreaking story I've heard, I can't imagine how you held it together with everyone you tried to get help from just...blowing you off. It's like everyone decided that she was guilty of something and so left her to rot, including those poor horses. Even if they truly believed she had been guilty of harming her husband, why do nothing for the animals in her care?
The farrier in the first story should have looked up the local adult-protective services with the Department of Health and Human Services. There was no way she should have been left on her own...how very frustrating!!
15:28 The sheriff not doing his job to find out what happened to her husband and not having her put somewhere she could be watched and helped and to just let her starve 2 horses cuz he didn't want to deal with her is beyond lazy and messed up !! It's the Law and the ASPCAs job to help her and those poor horses!!
What about the lady? She is going to end up starving or dying a horrible death too. No one willing to man the f up, and get out there and help. Shame on them, and him for not following up.
What a small world... i usedb to live in Thomson Georgia. Its actually pretty damn impressive to hear that place mentioned almost anywhere. Its a very very small town.
I'll tell you what growing up on a ranch in Colorado and running cattle and horses for dang near all my life. That would be absolutely crazy.. Ranching in Colorado I feel the pain for the farrior... They are hard working men for sure!
This was my husbands story and yes he was shaken up for a while afterward. It’s always his go to when someone asks what’s the weirdest thing you’ve dealt with at work.
Just so everyone knows… we called multiple times with no answers or response. The local humane society was contacted and so was the sheriff…. I was not notified if any action was taken…. I called and it is their job to address it. As much as I would have loved to take the two horses home… I could not fit them in the front seat of my truck. There was nothing I could do except make phone calls.

@@arthurchadwell9267bulls$$t!! As someone with a soul you step up and do everything you can. Get a horse trailer and tell the lady you are taking the horses to the vet and being the vet back for the other one.
I think it was in the third story where the guy talked about his brother borrowed his pistol and was lazy because he didn't chamber a round in the pistol when he gave it back. You never loan your firearm out and then not check it when it's returned to you, you never hand someone a loaded weapon, and you don't keep a weapon laying around with one in the pipe. That's just not safe. And calling your brother lazy for doing the responsible thing says more about you as a gun owner than your brother.
Awesome! I love having 2 episodes of Tales from the Break room on the day, thanks a lot Darkness, I’m loving your most recent stories, they’ve been amazing!😁😁
I have a story that horrified most of those involved. A group of animal rights activist were protesting the beef industry by staging a sit in at the entrance of a cattle farm. The farmer started to charge them with a huge piece of machinery but the brave protesters stood their ground. He came close but swerved to miss the group by a few feet. Then the real horror started. The smell of rot and sewage flew at them as he turned on the manure spreader that he was riding.
The gas station robbery hit too close to home for me. Nearly identical situation, only I was in the process of cleaning and as far as I know the 2 were not caught
That cleaning one sounds like a freakin horror movie. Two of my sisters used to be house cleaners and this is exactly why i told them to always carry a gun with them. That guy and his higher-up friends are definitely in a murder cult Edit: literally just found out that my third sister is now working as a house cleaner lol apparently she got the job a month ago I'm sending her this lol
I pray you called and got help for her remaining horses to get them immediate help. Thank you for letting them know about the remaining horses. I pray the Humane Society went and rescued the horses that were dying 🙏🙏🙏🙏 It was IRRESPONSIBLE OF THE SHERIFF OF NOT!!! sending the Humane Society to rescue the horses that were CLEARLY STARVING TO DEATH!
I’m so sorry for her. I Will say a prayer for her tonight and continue to pray until I feel a release from the Lord for her. I pray she has family support during her time of grief. I request the same for our family, we lost our oldest in the family, our Sister Olivia. Please pray as well for her Daughter Patty who was diagnosed with stage Four cancer and going through Chemotherapy. God Bless you all… 😘🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

That first story was just horrific and depressing! I realize the lady was obviously not there mentally, but I cannot wrap my head around anyone bringing fresh food & water out - and completely ignoring the suffering and needs of the 2 still living horses! The cop better hope karma isn't real, what a lazy jerk! God bless that man for doing all he could to save the starved, grossly neglected horses, and the old lady! The story from the man who replaces windows - absolutely chilling! The soldier's story of the barracks, I congratulate him for not immediately 'nopeing' out of the room after his lady friend came back and told him about his room mate being there! Long before meeting my husband I also did cleaning work. That story was terrifying! There is more to this story, and I think the creep's being wealthy has a LOT to do with no charges being brought! The young man at the service station, good thing he quit! The owners with the broken front door don't care about their employee's safety! I completely agree that some of the biggest monsters you'll ever come across are human! Excellent collection of stories that evoked a gamut of of fear emotion
Here we go again! Coffee break time with Darkness Prevails! I'll make mocha java, anyone want some? Rolling some Chocolate OG fatties for this one! Enjoy!😚👌💨
2nd story author needs an ego check. The more full of themselves someone is the less believable anything is that they say. The easiest way to tell if someone is lying or an idiot is based off how they address themselves using firearms in stories. Dude accidentally pulled the trigger which shows he had bad trigger discipline. Any trained and knowledgeable person with firearm training wouldn’t do that. So either A) he’s making everything up. Or B) he’s an idiot.
